lot to talk about today but Paul George thing it seems like it might be a sign in trade some people think it could be and one of the teams Mitch that people are talking about him going to the New York Knicks and we gotta break that one down bro because that would be a hurt piece for the Sixers we’ll talk about that in the second segment the jeante Murray we’ve been talking about a lot of guys who they could trade for who they can get in free agency but de Deon Murray could be a good affordable piece for the Sixers good PE good piece and the third one is if everything if Zack Edy is available if IA ker is available which one are you going to select tomorrow’s night drafts assuming the Sixers keep the pick right we got a lot to talk to y’all about today but Mitch break it down to me the New York Knicks they keep they beat the Sixers last year in the playoffs and now they got more assets than the Sixers to get a Paul George in a signning trade yes it’s a Concrete Jungle nightmares are made of you know they um I mean you you you would figure after they traded RJ Barrett and Emanuel quickly to uh to the uh to Toronto in the anobi deal that they would like okay you know we’re sitting Pat and we’re going you know we like we did we beat the Sixers we got to the second round uh first time you know second round first time in quite some time for them but they’ve got eight tradable first round picks heading into the draft including four of their own you know and the four picks uh from those other teams are protected but the one thing that they really have is they they still got a lot of draft they’ve got way more draft Capital than the 76ers do you know they’ve got Julius Randall you know people people he kind of became an afterthought you know uh once the playoffs started and Brunson just emerged as as as a superstar as a superstar on Broadway you know they still got Dante demenzo you know they’ve got Mitchell Robinson and they’ve got Isaiah hardenstein and they’re all trade eligible players man and when you look at what the 76ers do particularly with with Paul George you know now I mean the Days of Our Lives NBA version continues to roll on um it kind of makes sense for him to go ahead and you know opt in and and force that trade because there are teams that you know out there that which will pay him what he’s looking for and the Clippers just seem like they are like they’re dug in and that they won’t that that they won’t pay him that that fourth year U pay him more than kawh Leonard so man New York tormented Philadelphia in the playoffs and now in the in in the off season man they are in position that if this if this scenario plays out you know um but then again you know all that talk that Paul George said about you know I want to play the right way one thing you know you have to consider is you know you’re not playing the right way if he goes to New York uh they might grind him down you know and overuse him but they certainly will overuse him so that’s one of the negatives but if he wants his money and he wants to play on the largest stage you know as Madison Square Garden and the Knicks man trying to trying to disrupt uh the 76ers offseason yeah yeah now here’s the thing I will say this um it makes a lot of sense if if the Clippers don’t want to keep and if Paul George definitely wants that fourth year and they if if they know there are certain teams that they have a feeling that he’s G they’re guarant like you know I I think this comes to Paul George’s agent saying look these are the teams we want to go to and it’s up to the Clippers to reach out to those teams and see you know what they’re willing to give them right because I think it’s in in be side’s both interests to do a sign and trade and the reason why I’m saying that is if you don’t want to give him more than three years $150 million but he wants four years 221 right well you know it don’t do you any good for just letting them walk out the door and you don’t get anything back for yeah future Hall of Famer right so what you got to do is you got to figure something out and walk out and make both people happy yeah now when you look at this team you say Okay Julius Randall a guy who comes off the books after next season after this upcoming season so in two year so it’s kind of like huh that’s some flexibility for him that’s some flexibility he’s making 28.9 million right and like you said they got Mitchell Robinson you know you got uh divon chenzo you got I mean a small small salaries too so you know my thing is it’s kind of like that is the perfect uh fit and D venjo is making what 11.4 uh Julius randle’s making 28.9 I mean I could see that right there 40 yeah like you know what I mean I can see those two guys now again I I don’t have any background knowledge I’m just throwing salaries together see because I don’t know if I’m want to if I want to get rid of Josh Hart after what he did last year yeah but here’s the deal if you can go out there and you can sign OG and you know you can get and if you could go out there and sign OG yeah then my thing is if you the D on uh whatam call you got OG at the three or maybe you can have them at the four or whatever you know I mean I just think that there’s some flexibility no who knows you could have Josh Hart starting playing have Jos heart so that lineup would be a little bit smaller but at the same time I think that you have the pieces I think there’s some flexibility there but you’re right if I’m the Sixers I’m a little concerned because not only that it’s like a guy that you wanted he goes to one of your competitors and make that team more make that team better so it’s like here we go again not only do I got to deal with Boston I gotta deal with the Knicks having better Talent so I mean this is important like you if I’m the Sixers if I can’t get them I sure as heck don’t hope and pray that this dude does not go to New York like go to Orlando if you want to or stay out but don’t go to New York because it quite possibly it quite possibly entrenches it anchors the Sixers as the third bet the third team in that division you know and no doubt no doubt and then it forces them to really start looking you know and you hope during this process that they are looking into other places and you know I’m sure they are you know there other considerations out there we can talk about some of them in the next segment but they’re going to yeah if if if Paul George it would change the way they play but um you know with with with with the players they have you know with the draft Capital they have they can do some tinkering now you know I mean the one thing about them is you know was the physicality that the Knicks played with last year you may have to give up a guy like hardenstein or Mitchell Robinson and lose you may lose some of that but what you do is you add you know you add a greyhound you know and um and you know like you said at Greyhound is a future Hall of Famer and you really don’t necessarily want that and you division you if he’s in your division you want him on your roster you know you don’t want him somewhere else you know so and we can whatever doing it and she like yeah look crazy CB but you know while he said CB Deon Murray is a celebrity in the Seattle area you know what man I’m going to be honest with you we’re going to talk about him but one of my bucket list was while I was on this beach what’s going to Seattle because that’s like the that’s really good basketball players that come out of there yeah like you know and especially his high school he went to uh Rainer Beach and um some people call reneer some people call rer Beach whatever but you know um Nate Robinson Doug Christie Jamal Crawford they all high school brh brh who else went there um hey I feel bad for this guy I don’t want to put his business up but remember the guy a couple years ago played for the Rockets who beat his girlfriend up I hate to say that yeah but but he went there and the reason why I’m saying is that’s how many guys came out of this school right so get this bro you gonna laugh at this one of their assistant coaches is from um from South Philly oh yeah he been there for years so so Deon Murray comes from this high school that produces wings and guards so he he always had basketball in this pedig pedigree um I think that if the price is right and you can make it trade whatever he would be a quality addition now I’m hearing that some people are saying like but who’s going to have the hand on the ball he’s some people saying he’s a combo guard now I know he was a point guard when he was in Houston he was an All-Star I mean not Houston the Spurs he made the All-Star team the year that he was traded to Atlanta right he was a guard point guard in high school he’s a point guard in college um right now he’s playing a sharing point guard duties in Atlanta but me person me personally I think that he can be a primary ball handler me personally I think that he’s a great defender right I think that now I know that some people may say he wasn’t the last couple years like it was hyped up when he was with the Spurs but I also think that he could come here he’s long he’s athletic and him and if if you can’t get them other dudes that you want I feel like him and Maxi could have a quality backward yeah yeah and and the thing is you know he’s cheaper he’s got like four years left on the deal he’s got about $17 million left on that deal he’s young you know and something that I I noticed about him is that in uh he’s averaged over 25 points game and nearly nine assists in games that Trey young has missed you know yeah so when when he’s out there with Trey young he kind of and Trey young needs to be a little in Atlanta he needs to be a little bit more ball dominant than say uh Tyrese needs to be in in Tyrese is better off the ball um you know so you know if you can get him in here um I cuz really see I keep hearing people say that Murray is is is an offg guard but when you look at the numbers man he’s really a point guard you know and he’s that big point guard who can who can see the court got that height can see the court so I’m more so in like yeah you bring him here um and put him alongside Joel and and Maxie I mean we were talking about just the trade deadline I think that was the guy one the one guy with all the situations that were out there with you know trading for guys who could would be unrestricted free agents here’s a guy you can bring him in here and say okay it’s time to mount up with this guy um you know it hasn’t work for him in Atlanta but how often do things work for anybody in Atlanta you know what I mean I mean that’s just kind of the way that’s kind of the way it is down there you know it’s a great city of luck to live in and you would think it’d be a great City to play NBA basketball in but you know it um the worst places yeah yeah it just doesn’t you know I used always want certain cities that don’t can’t have great populations like the Washington DC Atlanta yeah they like the three worst places I mean let’s keep it real because like I mean here’s It Go when you go to Atlanta like you in hotlanta everybody talking about yo you going to hotlanta for the game you’re like yeah man I’m looking forward to it the culture to this to that you walk in the arena and you like at all these seats now when they were in the playoffs against the Sixers that was the place to be like yeah everybody came out like it was like celebrity row all the rappers that you know everybody was out there they were jamming in there but dude go in that mug in like January like people at all you hear is going on what’s going on nobody here and then the same thing with the same thing like no offense but you know Charlotte you go to the Queen City and like I got boys that live down there and they talking about yo man this the best ticket in town I’m like why cuz it’s cheap nobody comes so it’s it’s empty so yeah I get you if he wants to go come to a real basketball City and nothing against hotlanta like I love it it’s cheap for them the people you know there um you know as far as cost of living and everything it’s a great get your home but that’s more where NBA players go to retire yeah then play because it’s no the fan base it’s all y That’s what about even the Falcons is about the Georgia Bulldog football team FC yeah but still they the Bulldog now there yes it’s all Bulldogs man you know um and if you if you dig that college football and I love college football I love it love it love it you know but if you’re an NBA player and I always wonder like look at certain cities man you know particular cities that are great that African-American wealthy African-Americans love to live in cities like Houston um Washington uh Atlanta I think I think things will be changing in Houston pretty soon but they just can’t you wonder why they can’t and it’s it’s the front offices man they just can’t get it together and build a product but yeah if getting back to and we’ve deviated a little bit but man if you can get if you no the conversation was good and very it gives you an inside look on you know NBA culture but yeah if if you can get de jonte Murray at 117 you know I mean what have we been talking about this the methusa project everybody’s too old say I mean you can’t satisfy Philadelphia fans you know uh Jimmy Butler’s too old LeBron James is too old Paul George is too old there is that huge contingent and that is a legitimate concern about their age all right if if you know to satisfy that maybe you need to look at some of the some of the uh the uh the younger guys people who are on that second tier who are not who aren’t headed off yet aren’t headed off to the Hall of Fame and say hey man you know we gotta have these young bodies that are available to us and a guy like Deon Murray man you know I mean sometimes it doesn’t work in a few spots you know but you find the right spot Kelly UB found a right spot whether he comes back to the 76ers what he did do is say hey look at me I am very marketable and can play somewhere else you bringing to jont Mur you got four years to figure that out so I feel you bro I I do you got four years to figure it out and let’s see what goes on with that you know what I mean but we’ll be uh 400 meter Runner is he was to mot so yeah yeah but that boy from bullet buet oh my God yeah and but the funny part is every day he had on a different color uniform like you see how many Unis they got like you can tell they PG that’s that PG County money man they gonna take care of them schools man that’s that school cost a lot of money to go to huh yeah yeah least at the upper school and when you start talking about the upper and lower school that’s different you knower but you know I’m looking at him I’m asking myself how do you go from the Olympic Tri in Oregon in Eugene and then go back to running High School track and field you know the indoor events and all that man it’s just like you know so it’s it’s gonna be interesting that quick segue how they develop that because that it’s ridiculous watching a 16y old did you see the pen relays when they dro the Baton and they dropped the Baton he caugh him yeah he caught him and they yeah he he legit man he’s legit yeah I just hope he doesn’t burn out remember you remember William Reed who does it yeah William Reed wasn’t wasn’t quite that way but he was running I think 45 yeah and then in at Central High School and then William was big yeah but but it just you know what I’m saying so some people burn out yeah they burn out they burn out um so I just hope the kid doesn’t burn out but you know heck he you know they he he’ll make the Olympic team for the Relay so that’ll work out what that that a thing mood that a thing that get this the girl who won Nia Ali guess where she went to college at Nia Akens I’m sorry pit nah bro she went to pen she went to pen University of pen wow shout out young lady and then and the young lady who finished who finished second is from delto she went to strap hav wow yeah bro it was yeah so like I am uh disappointed for the young lady but Philly representing you know what I mean in that thing a thing is from Trenton so it could have been yeah she from Trenton yeah she from Trenton but yeah Philly was representing for the first two so and then the one girl from Laurel Maryland who took third so that’s like for you you know since you lay down in the D yeah yeah but n but n that’s enough but look y’all so here’s the deal who knows what the Sixers are going to do with this thing um this draft pick but but yeah we and locked on 76ers we have to do a mock draft right and I’m looking at this Mock and it was R turn the pit and I’m looking no Isaiah call you yeah oh my gosh yeah what are they thinking it took me a matter of of 15 seconds literally literally to submit my thing right and if you didn’t submitt it I was going to I was huh what are they smoking you know so like that so to me it’s kind of like one of those things man if Isaiah ker is available if I’m the Sixers I gotta think long and hard about not drafting that young boy what about you Mitch I mean you already said you would do it too yeah I would do it man only because you know it’s he was such a talent in high school and that’s kind of you know almost a consensus number number one pick uh the kid him imotep was right there with him and you know but this kid was pretty much the consensus number one pick coming out um and he played well he he didn’t live up to the billing but hardly anybody when they they in Elite top three athlete coming out of high school and go to a large University and in a mega program hardly anybody lives up to the you know to the to the bilding you know um and that’s but but he’s just 19 years old he’s got he’s got a man’s body he has the skills he’s got he’s got an NBA game he just has to be home um and you know we’ll see if you know if he’s there I kind of don’t think that he’ll be there um when the 76ers pick but I think if he is there and and you know if you can also solve your problem say with a Zach YY you know you can possibly solve that problem with him and get your your big man you have another slow I mean you don’t play with a whole lot of pace with your well and you know that’s that’s one thing in the NBA you want you want Pace but you do have a guy who looks like he can be a certifiable big man in the league um so the 16 pick might not be all that bad for them if they if they do in fact keep it you know but but I’m I’m with you man I I think you go with ker um and that’s that’s yeah you’re going with the upside right there you know yeah and but here’s another guy’s names that I like as well I like uh Tristan D Silva from um from Colorado now you know I like him he’s long he’s 68 um he can he he’s he’s kind of like in a Tobias Harris mode people are saying you know that type of you know he could play the three he could play the four but he can shoot the ball better than Tobias um it’s kind of hard to say I mean you know you expect him because he’s a he can he can shoot the ball better than bias you know out there but right now Tobias is a better scorer than he is in regards to getting into pick and rolls and doing stuff like that I think that he could be a quality asset for the Sixers now the crazy thing is he was one of these guys who you know was a senior he graduated um as a junior he was first team all Pack 12 as a senior he got second Team all Pack 12 but he’s you know older he’s 23 I believe he’s 23 um but he’s the type typ of guy that you can look at as a plug and play type of guy right and then there’s a guy KH we um he a freshman at Indiana he’s about 7 feet 611 7 feet um uh you know slender guy but he’s one of those new wave kind of centers that they’re really athletic that he’s a rim protector he can shoot he can do a lot of things so they’re going to have some options but you know the the thing is then there’s another guy Devin Carter who was um you know at Providence you know his father Anthony Carter played in the NBA I believe he’s an assistant coach with the yeah he is assistant coach with the Memphis Grizzlies he’s another older guy who the Sixers can get he could be a quality Defender um and that’s what he does from the guard position he’s an elite rebounder from the position yeah so but if I had everything the fact with Isaiah CER um I think if I had to gamble on somebody he would be the one that I would gamble on yeah just because of his pred pedigree um just because in the right situation I feel like he can Excel he’s 65 right you know what I mean he’s you know he’s he’s pretty good player pretty gooder and and the one thing about having that pick and then just and being drafted by the 76 is because there’s so many roster spots able I think guys looking at you know the agents going to tell whoever gets drafted there say hey you got an opportunity right here you know you have an opposite yes they’re they’re they’re perceived playoff team and you hear all the talk about Paul George and Jimmy Butler but that that Rost is empty right now so you can go there and you know and that’s why you might want to consider one of the older players 23 years old man the guy who comes in there and says hey it’s time it’s man time let me go out here and and get my man on here at the yeah you’re right you’re right so it’s be it’s going to be extremely
