[Osman] Draft prospect Kyshawn George is interested in potentially playing for the Canadian men’s national team in the future. His father Deon, played on Canada’s junior national team with Steve Nash and Rowan Barrett.

Makes too much sense. Watxh our pick will be someone completly random like Tyler Kolek.

Cool to hear he’s interested! I’ve been talking about the George/Barrett connection for a while and this is the first media mention I’ve seen of it. He could definitely fill a need as a bigger wing for the national team in the future. I’m a fan of the Raptors drafting him because I can see his versatile skillset being a really nice fit alongside Barnes… definitely my favorite wing player who’s likely to be available at 19.

(For anyone wondering, he wouldn’t need any Canadian residency to join the national team; he’s automatically considered a Canadian citizen by virtue of having a Canadian parent.)

He would actually be a perfect FIBA player. Lack of athleticism not as big an issue – great shooter.
