Such a project player smh. this gotta be a smoke screen

I’ll trust the FO but I don’t love this if true. I’d prefer to go a Little safer this draft with the new regime and everything.

i don’t ever call smoke cause it’s a lazy take but this has to be smoke
LUUUUUUUUUUKEEE
There’s been rumors that the spurs may have interest in him at 8. Could this be a ploy to try and get the spurs to take him at 4, leading to one of the other prospects falling to us at 6?

Sounds like a Jordan move. Remember when we screwed up a draft because we had so many developing guys, including the promising Kai Jones?
EDIT: Removed “didn’t”. And yes, the Hornets screwed up the 2022 draft because of “too much young talent already”.

I straight up have no idea who we are actually interested in lol
> Assuming Castle and Sheppard are off the board at 3 and 4 (other preferred targets at the guard position), Salaun brings defensive upside and shot creation along the perimeter and is one of the youngest players in the draft, turning 19 in August.
This makes a bit more sense.

I don’t hate the idea if Castle and Sheppard are off the board. I certainly like Salaun better than Knecht or Ron Holland.
He’d give us legitimate size at PF (6’8.75” with 7’1.5” wingspan), which we haven’t had in forever. He’s got a quick trigger on his shot, and takes them at a high enough clip that I think he’s likely to become a good shooter. Finally, he’s apparently an incredibly hard worker on the court and in practice.

All I see is light skin Kai Jones…I’ll pass on him!

Early comparison was Michael Porter Jr, this whole draft is full of upside prospects why not take a chance
