[Brady Hawk] Every backup center the last few seasons have been slow footed bigs that Miami has to cover for by blitzing and recovering You get youth, athleticism, shot blocking, and a good drop defender who can deter at rim And that’s just talking about the defense

  1. I do think Ware will spend some time as a back up for sure, maybe late in the season or next season we could potentially see him and Bam sharing the floor though.

I want him next to bam let bam play at the 4 preserve his body and hope ware can space the floor to become our young brook lopez

  3. alfredisonfire

Gonna be our starter next to Bam by all star break

  4. SudTheThug

hope we didn’t draft a backup , i’m looking for someone that can contribute next to our stars

So either Bam to 4 & we start 20 yo center (and Jovic to bench)

or we drafted a 20 y.o. backup Center

Ware is gonna be special, he’s in the perfect place to do everything Whiteside was supposed to do.

  7. I hope we can have flexibility with this pick in terms of roster construction.

and that’s the only thing we’ll ever need. Our backup centers can’t even replace Bam’s unique defensive ability we had to switch our entire defensive system on Bam-less minutes. This guy has height and defense, everything else in his skillset will just be a nice bonus.
