as a Rockets fan living in Georgia ive seen AJ play and he has pretty good potential, not sure about his fit on the team yet but chances are hes a better player than whoever we would’ve picked at 44

Low risk low reward, idk who he would get mins over this season unless hes injury insurance, I’m a bit sad we didnt address rebounding this season but there’s always FA
Hawks get to stash a player in the G League with their stacked roster and the Rockets get a more ready, almost 21 yr old who can be injury insurance. Looks like Holiday and Boban are gone.
Change of scenery might be just what Griffin needs.
It might be a good option for Rockets as he has already played in the NBA, he can do better if you have a more promising team, and you don’t know what can you still get on the 44th draft pick

AJ goes like top-10 if he was in this years draft, I think so crazy to get him for a mid-2nd.
As far as playing time, if he can take those 10-15 minutes Tate had and those 3-4 corner threes Tate takes, then we have something cooking.
He had one of the most impressive rookie seasons I’ve seen, Just had a bad sophomore season, hope he can play great here
Absolute steal. Not sure there’s a spot for him but this is an easy deal to make for a 2nd round pick.
AJ Griffin. Totally forgot about him. Didn’t he hit two game winners in his rookie season?
I liked him coming out of duke a few year back. But we’re stacked at the wing position.
About as good of value as you can get for a 2nd. Kid is young, shot well his rookie year, and we’ve got full team control over his contract. Would’ve loved Shead here, but I don’t think he would’ve fell to us anyway.
