    In sum, NY adds:

    – enticing, athletic draft-and-stash 18-year-old
    – proven, productive, plug-and-play backup PG
    – an NBA-ready 6’7 wing who averaged 18.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists last season and was also named to the Big 12 All-Defensive Team
    – a physical 22-year-old rim-protecting center
    – while also saving cap space and restocking their draft capital

It was a tremendous draft. But if you strip out the trades in between they basically traded 24 and 38 for 34, 56, 58 and 3 seconds, which is totally reasonable. They dropped back a looong way with those picks.

If you told me we drafted Kolek at #24, Dadiet at #25, and McCullar at #38, I’d have been pretty happy

Leon is stuntin on these GMs with a master class performance on draft night. Only Presti is on the same level

I like this draft. One thing I find funny is all the fans (me included) being like wow what an interesting draft and stash! And Pacome himself is like “oh I expect to play in the nba next season.” And we are all just like “wow this draft and stash sounds like he’s from New York! What a move!” lol

I wish I talked as little—and did as much as Leon.

Dadiet will be an interesting project. He has the build of an elite wing, and has shown flashes of that jumper for someone of his height. He’s really young as well, so the sky is the limit for this kid. It’s all going to come down to our player development to help him reach that level.
