here’s how the Brooklyn Nets may be the best team in New York 5 years from now last night they traded away their best player in maau bridges for five firstr draft picks and buan bonovich now in the immediate future it’s pretty clear that the Knicks will be better since they already had a great team and now they have a guy who plays lock down defense and he doesn’t miss games but by making this trade they’re putting all their cards forward and letting the league know that they want to win now this trade for Brooklyn finally starts their much needed rebuild and honestly couldn’t have happened at a better time even though the 2024 draft looks a little weaker 2025 is projected to have some future Allstar and franchise changing players the biggest of them all of course is Cooper flag who’s playing for Duke next season and he’s gotten an insane amount of hype but there’s also Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey who are exciting prospects in their own right now that the Nets have picks in that draft and they may be looking to get more they could Land one of these insane players to help lead their squad you have to remember that they still have Cam Johnson who they could trade for more picks or for some young guys around the league and in 5 years who knows if the Knicks will still have the core they do now especially if it doesn’t work out so don’t be surprised if the Nets take over within the next 5 years
