Now this is a guy I can get behind if we trade Brook. He’s a do it all wing built like a truck who’s on a really good contract for 3 more years. Spurs fans do seem to shit on him for some reason but I like him and think it would actually be a really good return for Brook. Although, I’m still opposed to moving him.

I don’t think we can afford to have another bad defender on the court with Dame. If this could somehow become a three team trade where he gets shipped somewhere else that would be great. Like ideally in a world where nobody can say no to our trades we send Brook to San Antonio, Johnson to Memphis and Smart to Milwaukee. Then we need to just find a center using Pat and or Bobby.

He can’t defend and his jumpshot is questionable. I would pass

I’m a spurs fan and idk why we would want Lopez that fit makes 0 sense to me. I’m not sure you guys would want Johnson either. He has his moments, but his bad late game decisions stand out on an already very inexperienced team. There’s a reason most spurs fans don’t want him.

I wouldn’t mind him, he’d be a very versatile piece on offense, but I’d be searching out better defenders before really pursuing it.

Any discussion about shipping out brook needs to come with replacement options. While he’s more limited than he was they still need his 25 mins at center at least during the regular season. Giannis cannot be full time 5. Bobby running full time 5 also seems like a bad idea but he’s fine to fill in at both spots. They will need to get some replacement for brook if he is traded. Whoever they get will likely be a vet min guy so the return from the brook trade should be good enough in other areas to make up for the loss of his presence. Not sure about KJ but I know he’s kind of empty lines in fantasy. He can score but doesn’t do much else. I don’t watch him though so maybe he’s better as a team player?

We’re running it back.
Giannis wasn’t healthy. We have a championship team around dame. Dame just needs to gel right for it to really matter. No point in changing too much right now. Unless it’s Pat or Bobby. They were big bench players for us in the run. But they’re bench players. They can AND DID contribute to winning time in the final minutes. But the core isn’t gonna be moved. Brook needs less of a load this year. 2 very healthy years after back surgery is crazy. Just nurse the regular season play our young guys. (Not the new draft guys unless worthy) and make it to the playoffs.

He’s too bad defensively to make it work for us

So I watched a lot of spurs games last year because of Wemby and the fact Vassell was on my fantasy.
Keldon’s upside is not that great, I think he’s pretty much plateaued at this point. However, his trade value has to be at an all time low and he clearly doesn’t fit into that team’s long term plans.
I do think we can get him for a super reasonable price and would not be opposed to having him on the squad, especially if we can get him to buy in on defense.

First Mamu, now Brook. Spurs leave our fucking centers alone

Keldon better stay off that problem tbh

Hard no. Seth Curry was released today though…

I don’t get how Brook makes any sense to trade. Trades work well when a player has more value to another team.
What kind of team would be the ideal trade partner for Brook?
-Win now team -Slim at the C position
That’s us. Who fits that mold better than the bucks rn?

Keldon reminds me a bit of Rui Hachimura except he takes like zero midrange jumpers. Not really a fan but he’s a borderline starter at least and is still young. We could do worse.
