Dallas Mavericks Secretly Stumbled Upon A GEM…

this video is brought to you by bet us Sportsbook and casino the Mavericks just traded Tim Hardway Jr in 3 seconds for Quinton Grimes just a wonderful deal for them it won’t get the buzz because he isn’t a big name but he fits what they need perfectly especially if they can get the Knicks version out of him 38% from three on five attempts per game he also consistently guarded the best perimeter player night in and night out for the Knicks I believe fans will fall in love with him for his defense vers halberton he doesn’t just get whizzed by initially he has the quickness to stay in front eventually he does get beat but gets help from his teammate to force the pass but he knows to help the helper he goes straight up as you could be and denies a center at The Rim as a shooting guard halberton is one of the quickest in the league but he can stick with him and stay in front he’s an elite Defender when locked in close out on Donovan Mitchell still he can swivel his feet and get back in front and force a contested mid-range jumper now he switches on to Garland makes him change directions and then affects his shot at the rim with a contest sometimes taller players get the impression that they can bully him but he holds up and makes you pay just like he did here with Chris Middleton just a great team Defender Grimes helps on the rle man but has the speed to close out in control on a high volume three-point shooter and make him turn that down and force a pass that leads to a bad shot now with the game clock running down van Fleet gets in the paint he’s taking away the corner but realizes nobody is on OG quickly look at how quick he is with that rotation and forces an impossible jumper to end the quarter he’s tough as Nails as well I mean who can forget when he went knee to knee with bam at a bio and fought through the pain as he was limping and got the biggest stop in this playoff game to secure the dub versus Jimmy Butler he is an elite Defender when he’s locked in it’s that plain and simple and offensively he thrives off the gravity of players who will break down defenses consistently in K double teams he peaked so far in his career on the offensive side of the ball next to Julius Randall and Jaylen Brunson Luca is going to do one ERS for him and will help him explode and find consistency on that end of the floor I take you to a video I made on December 20th 2022 you’ll see from this throwback clip why he should be a great fit for the offense of the Dallas Mavericks Quinton Grimes provides floor spacing and if the defense disrespects him he can make them pay so far this season 37% from three on four threes a game simply put he helps out out Brunson Randall and Barett so much for instance Randall drives to the paint jump stop vvi helps off Mitchell then Quinton Grimes man willingly helps off of him to take away the lob pivot pass to a wideopen Grimes and of course he makes them pay for the disrespect Randall posting up this time gets double team Trey young got to take away the lob now Grimes is left wide open in the corner inaccurate pass it does doesn’t matter he’s that great of a shooter he knocks it down making them pay once again one of the worst threo shooting teams in the league percentage wise so guess what The Scouting Report is packed the paint when Jaylen Brunson drives to the rim but you can’t do that with Grimes or he will make you pay most times those plays were very simple things but basketball is a simple game he’s also a high IQ player he knows when to cut he sees the Hawks are so worried about the Brunson Robinson pick and roll action he just cuts to the basket while they have their backs turned to him easy laying for two sooner rather than later teams will be glued onto him because of a shot or closer to him which will open up easier driving lanes for Nick’s players plus the Closeouts are becoming Reckless and Quinton Grimes has the ability with this quick first step to get to the rim pass to McBride he gets it back Defender closes out but gives him the driving lane he sees it eats up the space Rises up and finishes Above the Rim notice how quick that decision and take to the rim was again his IQ and feel is next level already Kevin herder plays the three-point line ball faked to the corner man so keikan Murray commits to him so the lane opens up quick First Step gets by herder with ease draws sa bonus wraparound pass to Robinson for an easy finish and this is going to seem silly because it’s such a common easy type of play but notice how quick he is to make that extra pass in the NBA if he slowly makes that decision the defenders close out becomes easier for him and Quickly’s driving lane becomes much harder little things in the film I went over in this video like this Grimes has perfected it and it just comes natural to him which is why tibs trust him already so much even though he’s known for not trusting young players last play the Kings elect to help heav on Brunson driving kick to our guy Harrison Barnes Reckless close out see you later he gets to the rim super quick and elevates Above the Rim again offensively he has more potential as well take the Bulls game for example against Alex Caruso one-on-one situation great perimeter Defender look at the separation he creates on this step back as he ages and gains more confidence you will see more of this and if he is in a rhythm feeling it you can run things like this dribble handoff situation great screen from Robinson one dribble it’s good shout out bet us for sponsoring this video it’s early but now’s the best time to get great odds I got you look at this Plus 1,00 for Dallas to win it all next season $25 to win 275 click the link below make an account make a bet with me they got NBA NFL odds everything you need it helps out the channel and me out a ton I appreciate you new customers get 125% bonus on their first three deposits as well click the link below thank you now I mentioned his confidence in that clip I feel like that’s the biggest thing for him he can get down on himself and start overthinking offensively when his shot isn’t falling he starts to pass up open looks he doesn’t really look for a shot he doesn’t look to score when his confidence is low and he’s not feeling it offensively hence why the Knicks moved him for a boan bonovich because they had a bunch of Defenders they needed scoring like consistent I’m hunting my shot type of scoring it feels like Grimes has to feel comfortable in a situation to get the most out of him clearly in Detroit he wasn’t and he looked like a completely different basketball player he can never find his shot the way he did in New York this kind of reminds me of PJ Washington because remember when he first got to Dallas he was bricking everything from three you can tell he got in his head a little which made it worse at the time but Luca and Kyrie and everyone was like dude just keep shooting we believe in you we see the work you’re putting in at practice after practice all that good stuff and next thing you know he had that insane shooting series vers OKC without that they never make the finals and seeing like players like Dorian finny Smith explode against the Phoenix Suns in the playoffs it just really feels like Luca and the environment in Dallas gets the most out of their role players and there’s untapped potential clearly in terms of Quinton Grimes offensive capability I just think he has to believe in himself and I know since Dallas traded for him they obvious vious ly believe in him and that’s going to help him

  1. Along with Green and Exum we have three big guards off the bench that are effective, versatile, defenders, are competent behind the arc, and can start in a pinch. Quality depth and it's absolutely needed over the course of the season.

  2. Not expecting anything crazy like him starting, but i feel he's gonna have a resurgence, as in he's gonna be a key rotational piece on the Mavs.

Kyrie and especially Luka command so much attention, I can see his shooting % going up and hopefully efficiently. And the Mavs has great defenders in PJ, Lively, Gafford, and hopefully DJJ if he returns, that allows him to man up on his guy, trusting his teammates have his back so he doesn't be hesitant when defending. I like it as a Mavs fan!

  3. he kind of play like green and I think after this trade they will put green on the trade block since they have a cheaper one to trade or sign a player

  4. He’s better all around than green and Exum (not shitting on them they have their roles). I’m hoping Nico can package green, Kleber, and a 1st for Jerami Grant. He’s worth it. Or Green and a 1st for Deandre Hunter. The time is now.

  5. As a Mavs fan and Detroit native, I cannot get away from Hardaway Jr. hope to see if he can flourish on the Mavs. Want to see this championship.

  6. I just want all of our players to be healthy and that goes for futute acquisitions. People and media are really disrespecting Luka just because mavs landed at the 5th seed cause of injuries. Hopefully next year majority of our players are healthy

  7. Bro This Dude ..Is Gonna Be Able To Play With Luka & Kyrie ..he’s gonna be better then he was with the Knicks yall forgetting these highlights are this past season 🤦🏾‍♂️

  8. A very good defensive player who has untapped offensive potential. Higher ceiling than Josh Green allows us to resign DJJ and maybe get Klay Thompson or trade for a 3rd scorer. Great trade.

  9. Getting him means we WONT be paying klay what he wants so that may be off the table. They fill the same spot and grimes is younger and quicker
