[John Hollinger] Minott’s non-guaranteed deal is still cheaper than a veteran’s minimum — important for the Wolves’ tax hit. Equally important is that my spies there think he might be able to push for more regular minutes in his third pro season after playing just 187 total minutes in his first two.

Here's what Hollinger had to say about Kyle Anderson in the same article: "Minnesota’s luxury-tax situation will make it difficult to bring him back. But if a rival team inks him to a shorter deal for non-taxpayer midlevel exception money, Anderson should return positive value."

I know Minnesota wants to bring Kyle Anderson back, but what if he's more willing to leave the Timberwolves than previously thought? I know his autistic son is doing well in school and that should not be taken for granted, but money talks.

I'm not so sure if Kyle is willing to take a near minimum contract to stay in Minnesota when there are other contending teams who are willing to pay him more on the open market. If Josh Minott is supposedly getting more minutes, does that mean Kyle Anderson is bound to leave in free agency?

We really forget these guys are just kids, I think minott would be in his senior season. Everyone’s path is different, I believe in the lawn mower

  2. Sigh…and this is why I wish he got some burn last year see if he had anything worth while. In limited minutes, he just looks like an awkward super athlete. Even his G league, he couldn’t really do anything but finish at the rim and gamble for steals.

Hell, as a fan of the *team* I hope he gets minutes. For a player of his “stature” it’ll certainly mean he earned them through production and can’t be denied playing time which would mean we got a good player. I just don’t see it though. Hollinger was really high on Minott, had him 10th overall on his draft board so I feel like he has his own personal biases to want to see him play, or suggest he might have more talent than has been let on. Like Hollinger potentially, I have my own biases and if it’s the case of letting a young guy get run for the sake of seeing what we have, I’d rather it be Miller than Minott personally.

Minott isn’t an NBA player. His nba skill is playing hard thats how you know he isn’t it

I thought we could resign free agents at their current salary levels in the 2nd apron. Maybe I’m misinformed.

  6. Is there a scenario that we could have a btec- vando role for Minott/Miller (switch onto anyone+eat up all boards) or have we moved past that as a team
