  1. Clippers meeting:

    PG: 4 yrs max

Ballmer: 3 yrs max. Take it or leave it.

    PG: *grumble grumble* OK FINE!

Run it back. If we are no longer going to get value out of him, I’d rather we run it back and give it another shot. If Kawhi is healthy enough to be considered for the Olympics, that means he’s good to go for the season.

We had our hot streak last year where we were far and away the best team in the league. As always, the season hinges on Kawhi’s health and it sounds like he is good to go so I’d rather we try and capture some of that potential we saw last season than lose it all for nothing.

I was always on team run it back but the more i look into the 2nd apron rules, I think you let him walk because if we offer him 4 years, we cant resign Mann and Zu and if we are over the 2nd apron next season, our 2032 1st will be “frozen” instead of becoming available for trade then if we are over 3 out of 5 years, frozen pick is moved to 30th.

He’s probably going to hear the offers from Philly and magic and ask us to match them.

Fuck it let him cripple someone elses cap and get under the 2nd apron. Let Norm do his thing and grab someone with our MLE.

It is a matter of principle at this point.

Kawhi and Harden are enough to get us to the playoffs and will at least have the team playing the right way. No more fucking momentum crushing turnovers or lazy ass passes back to back at the worst times.

At this point, I’m offering 2 years and a team for the 3rd year. I really don’t want pg13 back on this squad and I’d love to see our young blood play with Harden

I’m guessing the Clippers meeting is just agent-team keep everything on good terms for other clients. There is not much that would change.

  8. Icy-Train492

Would the 4th year be a player option or guaranteed year with the team ?

Hopefully the other teams take him πŸ™πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½

Please just don’t give him 4 years. If derozan agrees to the Mle just skip the meeting lol

  11. Lmao and this guy thinking ballmer gonna retire his jersey

I think the Clippers front office made an assumption that PG would follow Kawhi and take less years and slightly less than max.

I am not a fan of L. Frank but I think it was a reasonable assumption, considering how involved he has been in personnel decisions and how much weight his opinions were given.

PG is burning them because of the assumption. Now what to do? Stand your ground. Act like a first class organization that you are. It will be alright.
