This fan base is full of people that will regurgitate the fact that Pat’s scoring average not going up as an indication he hasn’t improved at all. Bullshit. Watching these highlights compared to his rookie year and the improvement is obvious. The handle is better, shot release is quicker, plus the defensive IQ has improved.
When Lavine went down Pat averaged 12/4/2 on 47/45!/76 shooting percentages in 29 minutes a game. People completely wrote him off after a slow start, but he looked much better before getting hurt.
Getting him locked up for FIVE YEARS at 18 million per will become one of the best contracts in the league very soon. If we can unload our mid three, we could go into next off season with a ton of cap space and have Matas, PWill, Ayo, and Coby on the books. (Hopefully AKME can extend or re-sign Giddey)
I’ve gone from an AKME hater to “trust in AKME” this off season. In my eyes they’ve been making more good moves than bad over the last two off seasons (Jevon Carter is total ass). I love the acquisitions of Giddey and Matas, and the re-signing of Ayo, Pat, and Coby are massive wins. Also the fact that Coby and Pat both didn’t even test the market in RFA tells you all you need to know about the culture AKME has developed.
