No surprise that they’re meeting. Just have to hope that Hartenstein will wait a bit to hear us out before signing something.

  2. realmatic2e

They’re I iHart hometown trying to lock down a deal hmm

  3. TreSeven

This was always gonna happen, let’s just hope they still want him coming off the bench

  4. Yankeeknickfan

It’s going to be hilarious when he gets a larger offer, has a meeting, and still signs with the Knicks

  5. NintuneJoe

Hopefully Kourtney is there to remind him what living in Oklahoma is like

I won’t even be mad if he leaves: that’s a lot of money to give up

  7. JewChainZ-_-

They’re in my state? BRB guys gonna convince iHart to return

  8. deep_fried_cheese

I feel we should be working to un-hard cap faster, no?

I’m still hopeful. I don’t think they will move Chet to the 4 to start IHart so hopefully that matters to him enough to make up for the millions more they could potentially offer him because being behind Chet long term will stunt his future earnings.

This is less scary than him meeting with the Magic. Hartenstein wants to start and I’m 100% certain the Thunder can’t offer that. The Magic actually can.

The amount of dumb people who read a blurb like this thinking the Knicks are sleeping. LOL

  12. if it walks like a duck, talks likea duck, iHart is staying in NY

  13. hecticbellerin

We can offer him a starting role, which is something OKC can’t. Please stay

I heard on the sub that for cap reasons after the Mikal trade IHart has to be the last player we sign. So I don’t expect to get any news for a day or two. I could see Okc offering him 100 mil though definitely and can’t be mad at that. There is a version of this where Randle is our starting 5

People also gotta remember Hartenstein has to be the last official deal before getting hard capped at the 2nd apron. Everything else has to happen first and the Bridges deal can’t be finalized until July 6th.

iHart is going to get his offers and then make his decision. The Knicks numbers are carved into stone.

  16. I was responding to a poster but he deleted it before I could respond. However, here was my post because it’s still applicable.

Isaiah would be dumb not to hear out their pitch. He knows what we can offer them. He should at the very least listen to what their pitches are. If they came out and offered him $100m, for argument’s sake, how can he turn around and say ”that’s great but I’m cool with $72million?” He’s not a star player. He’s a very, very good player but players like him may not have extended careers. This is his chance to get his bag. If he wants to stay with the Knicks and they work something out, that would be fantastic. But I don’t think anybody should be surprised he’s meeting with teams who have the $$$ available to sign him. Him (and his agent) are doing their due diligence to see where his value is in the open market.

Magic are probably a bigger threat than this lets on. They dont seem interested in Klay, PG is already strongly rumored to Philly and I dont think theyre willing to blow long term cap on an older player.

With those two off the board, it seems like Ihart should be their number 1.

People could shit on living in OKC, but 23-25 mil per for a team that is one of the favorites in the west is too good to pass up even if it means living in OKC.

  19. itshotwhereilive

If he willing to leave us to be a back up to a Nosferatu faced slender man instead of a starter on a champion team so be it his L man he’ll regret it… I’m still hurt tho

  20. zeezee2k

IHart is going to give them a big number in this meeting

  21. SuperH533

OKC have a lot of players that will need big extensions soonish. Hopefully they low ball him just enough for him to stay. Maybe that will have him value the four year length

  22. SanctorumAeternam

*Hey there, Isaiah/ what’s it like in OK City*

  23. zeezee2k

I feel it makes more sense for Orlando to sign him. That starting center role is his to take right? In Okc there’s Chet.
