Harris is a good player. He wasn’t worth his contract AND the Sixers choosing him over Butler just made him seem like a failure. Hands down he’d be our second best player to Lauri.

I mean, whoever scores Harris will get him on a good contract. Not minimum, but close. I would say it’s a good pickup at that price. Just a good piece, not a solution.

Doesn’t make sense for so many reasons. He doesn’t fit the timeline and he plays the same position as Lauri. Moving Lauri back to SF would be foolish since he’s best as a PF. He doesn’t make Utah anything better than a play-in team, and he keeps them from bottoming out. Best case he rebuilds his value and they move him at the deadline? I don’t know, this would be such a confusing move.

we’ve been interested in pretty much every player possible. doesn’t mean much

If the jazz do this, and we don’t trade Lauri and there are no other substantial moves. This front office is losing faith. We don’t need to run it back with a mediocre roster of all power forwards just to finish in the lottery again, but not high enough to actually secure an elite level player. the best option at this point is clearly to move on from Lauri and tank for all of the top players in the next two drafts and let our rookies and second year players play until we can draft a superstar.
