[Haynes] Chris Paul had a great talk with Spurs coach Gregg Popovich and was sold on the culture and opportunity to help elevate the game of Victor Wembanyama. CP is eager and motivated to showcase he’s still an elite guard in this league.

Chris Paul tends to make every new team he comes to, a playoff one.
“The Spurs were the only team to offer more than a minimum”
What’s the price though
He’s gonna be good for Wemby
Brb, need to delete some comment history.
Finally
I’m shocked that Chris would even want to come, but this will be such a great mentorship role.
Could be a great mentor for Castle
Wemby bout to have a 50-40 season
Spurs might low key be an 8 seed next year unless they want to shut it down for Flagg
He has the comfort of knowing that when he shoots up bricks, Wemby will just treat them as alleyoops and he gets an assist instead
In his Jarrett Jack era
He’s elite in that he will control the tempo of the game but he’s not the scorer he used to be and his defense is just okay.
WHAT NUMBER WILL HE WEAR??? #3 IS TAKEN!
Spurs making the playoffs, you heard it here first. With Wemby, Paul has such an easy job at PG. Same thing he did in Phoenix hes about to do in San Antonio.
Play in race heating up. Need to see wemby in the playoffs asap. What are the odds that they make it. Sensing some deja vu here
More than vet min?
I like that culture 😎
Fun as fuck
so they told him they’d trade him to a contender
What are the chances he goes and plays for a few months, mentors their young players, and then gets traded to a playoff team at the trade deadline, giving the Spurs more assets in the process?
i knew he was gonna be a spur when i saw him laughing with pop after the latest spurs vs gsw game
I love that we aren’t trying to make Castle the lead guard on day 1.
Not even a play-in team lol respect to CP3 for not ring chasing though.
I’m hyped for Wemby. Great bridge to Juan Nunez! CP3 healthy for at least 75% of the season is gonna be awesome for the Spurs.
Scott Foster is gonna have to get creative down the stretch
Ngl, only time I’ve felt good for CP3. He’s always shown that he’s willing to teach young players. Great signing by the Spurs
I think it’s a good move. Will be fun to watch that’s for sure.
Wemby can just lift CP3 in the air and carry him to the basket
By the time he retires Chris Paul will have played for more teams than Shaq lmao
This is such a rollercoaster lmao screw it, bring it on, I wanna see how it pans out at this point. CP3 was never really my cup of tea as a player, but if Pop and RC and the coaches view that he could improve the team, there must be something to it. Hopefully it’s the bastketball knowledge that rubs off on guys like Devin, Stephon, Tre and even Wemby. GSG!
CP3, a health Vassell, a better Wemby and Sochan is a playofff team but cant say theyre contenders
So does Paul start over Tre Jones or not?
Good way to learn the coaching ropes too if he ever goes to that route.
As a Spurs fan,
CP3 wants to be here? This is incredible! He was amazing on the Thunder and Suns.
He may not be the same player as he was in 2021. Regardless, I hope we have him in a Udonis Haslem role where he’s still on the team at age 45.
I love this signing for the Spurs so much. He’s going to be such a great mentor for that young team, and CP3 to Wemby lobs will be fun to see.
Castle gonna become the next SGA, isn’t he?
Can’t wait to watch CP and Wemby play for 18 games together before Paul gets injured.
I wonder if this will be the last season for both of them
I think CP might be tired of *desperately* chasing that ring… or he could be traded at the deadline. Either way, I love this moves just for the vet leadership he will bring to out youngins.
