Why? Surely there are higher ceiling prospects that are worth a flyer. I like Minaya’s hustle but I don’t think he’s an NBA player, I just don’t see any upside.

I guess they’re not getting anyone who’s not on a two way

The Breaking woj bomb involving the Trail Blazers at home

I don’t HATE it — he has pretty good instincts on defense and legitimate NBA size (he’s probablh one of the 450 best NBA players if you had to win a game tonight), but I think I would have rather spent it on someone with a little more upside…

He seems like an awesome hard-working dude, I just hope we prioritize playing Rupert this season

Why? I know 2 Ways you aren’t banking on much but Minaya isn’t an nba player. He’s also 25, so not like a 19 year old you can hope has potential or a fun flyer like Badji or Reath. Also annoying Portland hasn’t signed any UDFA so far and feels they never really do

Dude will be 25 this year lol

    He has the best agent.

Sure. We don’t really need another big here and he’s been around the org enough.

Love that Justin is staying! He plays the right way and is extremely competitive! Great teammate and culture builder. Not every player has to have superstar upside.

  11. I know I watched him play, but his game is that forgettable that I’m trying to remember

This dude has Josh Hart level ā€œteleporting to where the ball isā€ skill. I worry his shot wont come around though, he’s had a solid opportunity the last two years

I don’t hate it. I think he is an NBA player because of his hustle and athleticism, I just don’t think he is a high upside one because of his age. Hopefully we can get a flier on someone like Domonic Barlow or Brandon Boston

everyone relax, they can cut Minaya whenever they want to. There’s no need to ‘leave a spot open.’

  15. We *might* see some big changes soon so maybe they dont want too much turnover in the roster.

I have to assume they value the continuity for the rest of the roster in addition to his defensive hustle.
