Toronto reach out to you to talk about Jamal um well yeah yeah indirectly um um you know in the days leading up to the draft I I um always talk with um usually the uh they got so many different titles now it used to be the uh director of scouting and then the uh um the general manager um and and someone on the coaching staff so uh what’s the yes so T Tuesday Wednesday Thursday were really really busy days on the phone uh uh I usually walk when I talk so I got a lot of walking and um uh Tuesday um Monday I was at uh John Lucas had a golf tournament so I was there but um you know a lot of a lot of teams were um there were so many trades you know one team would call and and double check something other team would call and um you know ask your opinion on on um fit with this fit with that but I I I talked to a lot of people the big the the thing with Toronto was was um I spent a lot of time talking to Jamal’s agent last two days too so Know M making sure that uh everybody was on the same page on what he wanted but you know Toronto um um Jamal could have went higher but you know the big thing with the NBA now is these two-way contracts and uh Jamal didn’t come out to take a two-way you know he could have stayed at Houston and and um and got a two-way the next year but uh you know he found the right spot uh I think he’s a great fit in Toronto with uh how they want to play and uh they need him so um Jamal go to summer league with Toronto and he’ll uh everything goes right which I don’t have any hesitation that or any apprehension that it won’t um once Jamal gets there and the new coaching staff um well his new coaching staff will well we’ll see him but um you know that’s they really wanted Jamal and I’m glad he’s getting this opportunity they’re getting a heck of a player
