Thoughts?

Everyone is always like “how in the hell are Celtics signing all these players” while every other team is struggling with cap space etc. and it’s blinded alot of our fan base to think the Bucks org. can or has to pull off luxury tax bills staggering as this with us being a small market franchise. Suns currently and near future Celtics tax bills are more than most teams whole rosters. There is just no way for us to compete $ for $ with big market franchises. Let’s hope we can make enough roster adjustments to be there healthy, deep in the play offs this upcoming season to earn one more shot at it the poverty way. With the Celtics retaining everyone, and Philly becoming much stronger, Knicks and Pacers proving they can go deep as well the East will be tough.

  1. Pacers still need to prove they can actually compete at the same level as the top teams in the East.

They didn’t prove shit lol they played against 2 hospital teams and a Celtics team notorious for playing down to their opponents level at times.

Also the ownership group is resigning everyone and selling so the next owners foot that bill; not exactly a model that should/could be repeated easily

That’s fine but there’s steeper punishments now under this new CBA for going deep into the luxury tax. Celtics will be able to keep their core but will struggle to add players, also if they’re in the 2nd apron for 3/5 years then there’s even steeper punishments.

We are actually one of the one of the “bad guys” here. We have been a tax paying team since our chip year.

Last year Celtics payed like 42million and we payed 52million.

The good news is our owners, so far, have been happy to pay the bills

Celtics trying to keep a championship caliber team while trying to sell. Allow the new owners to make the difficult decisions when it comes to payroll and the tax. I’m guessing they run it back one more year before trading a player/s like Jrue or White.

Can we stop with the “Thoughts?” titles? Just post quick commentary or the title

    That’s my thought

There’s going to be a lot of regret if they don’t win another championship. They got a free pass this year with all the injuries, if they can earn it again then it’s still worth it.

And they still struggled against teams without their best player

Despite being one of the title favorites for the last 5 years in a row, the Bucks have only made it past the 2nd round once and if it wasn’t for a KD toe on the line we would be talking about the Bucks as the biggest frauds/chokers in NBA history. Luckily KD’s toe was on the line and we got a chip out of it but if we make only 1 Finals appearance this whole Giannis era, it will probably going down as one of the most disappointing runs for a superstar eras in NBA history.
