There are actually some big men options on the FA market who I’d be cool with as the third big (I believe they have 2 rosters open)
Yurtseven, Thomas Bryant, Mo Bamba
But a guy who is an interesting candidate is Jay Huff. Legit seven foot with a 7 2 wingspan, can shoot 3s, put the ball on the ground a little bit, and he won the G League DPOY two years ago. He went to Virginia so he knows how to play defense even if he might be a touch limited on that end. He’s still a soft body 26 year old but still it’s not super easy to find 7 footers who shoot 3s at a high clip & defend at a passable level. Definitely worth a look he’s a guy who could have a big value increase over the course of the year, basing this off the perceived value of a discount Brook Lopez.

I forgot about Jay Huff. This would be a great idea! I’d love to give him a shot. I feel like I remember him playing really well in summer league and he had some really good stretches in Washington when he was Porzingis’ backup.
Not as bulky as Brook, but way more agile. Plays hard. Great shot contesting timing. Quick release from 3. Definitely deserves a look.
Bring back Myers Leonard.
Not ideal, but really none of these guys are.
Big as hell, can shoot the ball when needed.
He is fun to watch. He has been good whenever he gets minutes outside garbage time, and sometimes in garbage time. Most of the knocks against him seem to have been worked out. He is quicker than he looks, but he still needs some work on how to deal with very mobile guys in the lane. It looks like more of a technique problem than an ability one.
He was better than DeAndre (2024 Deandre) and Zeke in Denver, even though they were ahead of him. It would be nice to know what he could do with some real minutes.
