Knew it was happening eventually but glad to have it sorted early

Now we can move on with the rest of the offseason

Now our offseason begins. There was no point in trying to make any moves before Don re-signed. Now that we have our star locked down we can properly evaluate the roster

So essentially a 2 year extension? Feels like the LeBron era again, at least it keeps pressure on the front office.

Does this mean 3 more years guaranteed, or 4 plus a player option?

This hurts the Lakers chances of getting him for Austin Reeves, Hachimura and 2 2nds

Everybody, calm down about the player option. The player option doesn’t mean he’s not gonna retire a Cavalier. It just means he has the option to opt out and sign more. We’ve seen the increase in these contracts over the years. He’s just being smart

Project 2026-2027 is in full swing.

By that time, weโ€™ll have a chest of two firsts and 3 first swaps to swing. Any holes in this roster can absolutely be filled with strong talent by then assuming thereโ€™s no regression out of the core

National media in shambles. Wasnโ€™t he supposed to want out to go to a major market?
