Good. He’s our defensive anchor, especially if we want Mobley taking more elbow jumpers and 3s.

Good thing he’s not the GM Cause Allen is out on the first thing smoking.

Allen is not going anywhere. Altman is trying to build a culture that is healthy with alignment being central. Allen is a good guy on a good contract. The front offices in all 3 cleveland franchises are the best we have seen in my lifetime. The fact they made the JB move when they did says a lot about their vision and ability to execute!

he somehow makes 10m less than Hartenstein.

My guess is, they make some moderate moves to add talent at SF (De’Andre Hunter?) this off-season, but in-season trades are a possibility. Allen is the most tradable member of the core four. I’m not rooting for him to leave, but I’m not sure he stays, either.

Good. He’s not a moron.

Regardless of the actual closed door opinions on players, it’d be bad business to publicly say they want to move anyone. That just makes it easier for teams to low ball.

I don’t think the Cavs should make any trades on the core four until they’ve had a chance to play under a new offensive system; hopefully something that gets Mobley involved more.
The only player I for sure want to see replaced by the start of the season is Niang. Pretty much any vet PF would be a better backup than him.
