Got kid of Timmy, but still have the asshole father

Man listening to the whole thing is even worse. Imagine bitching about your kid’s decision like that. Pathetic

  3. What’s up with the dads of our volume 3 point shooters not liking us??

    Wtf, first THJ now Klay…

  4. mudshake7

why always our shooters have asshole fathers?

I don’t think these comments are in any way comparable to Hardaway Sr. lol. This man isn’t anti-Mavs, just because he’s pro-Lakers. He hasn’t made any demeaning comments about the franchise, accepts his son’s decision, but, in his situation (a former Lakers player who now works for the organization that meant a great deal to his family), it’s natural for him to have preferred for his son to choose LA.

“And he should call home more, it would mean a lot to his mother and I. He never calls home anymore.”

    — Mychal Thompson, allegedly

This isn’t anything like the Tim Hardaway Sr situation. Mychal is literally a Lakers employee. Of course he wanted his son to play in LA.

It honestly underscores how good we have it that Klay was willing to reject both more money and the family ties to play for us over the Lakers.

Mychal Thompson bleeds purple and gold, he was on the radio in LA for a number of years, loves wrestling and bahama-mamas (the drink).

I took this as more Lakers tears then being Anti-Mavs.

Maybe he’ll finally be in that congratulatory mood when his son wins a 5th ring.

Tomorrow there will be an article about him walking back his comments.

For the last 15 years I’ve heard the fact that Texas has no income tax as an attraction to free agents countless times . Klay gotta be the first player to cite this as a reason to sign here

He’d rather his son be the scapegoat of lebron when they inevitably lose lmao what a joke

“I’d rather my son did something to stroke my own ego vs doing what he thinks is best for him”

I’m pretty sure even if Klay hates the Warriors he respects them enough not to go to the Lakers. Just imagine if Dirk went to Spurs, shit would’ve been ruthless.

I mean Thompson is Mr Lakers though. He played there, works for them now. Also, he wants his son and son’s family to come home and be next to him. It’s ok to vocalize that, doesn’t make him the next Hardaway Senior at all.

What’s with the narrative of grown men wanting to work near their fathers?

  17. AvatarKittie

I’ve heard from more than one bitter ass lakers fan claiming that Klay ultimately wanted to go to LA but GSW refused to have anything to do with the Lakers. Whatever lol, If Klay wanted to be a Laker, they would have made it work. Those assholes always get shit they want, are treated better by the media and the league but still feel the need to spit in our cake before we eat it.
