basor young and Dr Young you guys were the major part of me coming to Atlanta you made us a Big League City almost immediate it started with you guys you guys brought about change in the city and abroad we grew up in New Orleans came here and the first place we came was the why how we got involved in this building who uh started a sing Team here at this wi the young Brothers embraced this place and really did what ever they had to do to enhance it and get kids over here everybody that comes through this wi they better off when they leave than when they got absolutely Good Neighbor jams is our 10th one the Project’s really about building bridges to our community Through basketball stay farm and the Hawks they continue every day to find different ways to interact in the communities spec out this YMCA it’s 60 years old and we’re like this place needs a face excited to be here about to unveil this newly renovated gym it’s a special day for the parks our state par young family Dominique Wilkins they laid this place out when you captured from start to phix oh this is awesome man and I walk in here today and I see the smiles and I see what this place is going to mean for this community and I got to tell you I feel pretty good being a good neighbor is about investing in the community and investing in our you so this has offered something for everyone in the family for me to be asked by historical family to be the brand of their YMCA that’s being a part of History Wilkins he was a great basketball player he was a Hall of Fame but you cannot Trump the person that he is to have these types of Investments happen right here after 60 years we know we’re on the right track and we’re doing the right thing KS can come here and have fun and be and be inspired it just means world to the community of Southwest Atlanta I hope that we will continue to grow and that the Hawks and State Farm will continue to be a part of our growth and development the key to winning a basketball game is the teamwork and it’s a beautiful thing on the basketball court but it’s even more beautiful when you see people in a business it’s our responsibility to give back to those kids kids who they aspire to be like us

On April 18th, the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm unveiled the completely refurbished Dominique Wilkins Court at the Good Neighbor Gym at the Andrew and Walter Young Family YMCA in Southwest Atlanta. It will mark an extra special occasion as the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm’s 10th Good Neighbor Club reveal and court makeover.

The Andrew and Walter Young Family YMCA has been an important figure in Atlanta as a home for local high school kids, a center for voting, and a home for community impact. This unveiling celebrated the YMCA’s role in greater Atlanta and the story of these men who helped shape this community.
