no. do not pay the Miami Heat role player $20m+. it never works out

While Caleb would immediately help the current roster to an extent, I would still look elsewhere. Caleb is 28 and looking for a big new contract coming off of so-so production, and I don’t love his match with our timeline. Bruce Brown’s contract would ideally result in us receiving draft picks.

  3. What can the Heat offer? Oh, they want a straight trade? No thanks.

They’re not worth it for 20M+ especially for a role player

Canadian to Canada is easy clickbait journalism

I mean if yall wanna do a sign and trade with an expiring salary we got Chris Boucher just sitting here, 3 & D wing 😉

  7. I’ve always liked Martin, so I’d be down with getting him. I even liked how he handled the whole Koloko thing a couple years ago (Martin owned up to basically acting like a jerk on the court).

That said, I think that any trade that involves bringing talent here should actually balance out the roster (with size) or be a young guy to develop. So if it’s not a young guy, it should probably be some depth at PF or Center.

[Heavy.com](http://Heavy.com) is a clickbait website, and this is nothing but re-posted speculation.

The legitimacy of the speculation can be summed up with the part where they say the Raptors “desperately need” a wing…because we don’t have any 6’5″ SG/SF type guys as it is. Even outside of RJ, Gradey, Ochai and GTJ (if we re-sign him), all of whom are 6’5″ or 6’6″ SG/SF guys, Bruce Brown himself plays that same role.

Leaving aside whether we would even want to do this, unless you want to pay Caleb a starting salary of more then $23mil (gross) the Heat cannot do this because the trade would hard cap them at the first apron and Bruce’s salary would put them over

  10. He is worth the MLE and if he wants anything more then you walk away.

Just show him the lost of all Miami Heat role players who have sucked elsewhere lol.
