summer league is here cart rosters are out and uh this is one of my favorite exercises we’ve ever done we’re just going through every roster that’s been announced and like giving our quick thoughts it’s like a highlight reel of all of our college basketball players we’ve covered through the years that we’re never going to talk about again one last time I love it the Pacers roster is interesting we’ll go through it and you can tell me what you think they’re trying to do who’s going to play and all that uh I’m just going to go alphabetically through this Georgie banish villy yeah that one Georgie from Illinois that yeah that one Kendall Brown from Baylor Enrique Freeman from akan Samson froling from Australia I have no idea who that is Johnny Fury from Kansas Josiah Jordan James Tennessee Lance Jones from Purdue Dakota Maas from Purdue uh I also lied I went out of order alphabetically because I skipped Quenton Jackson from Texas A&M but can you blame me I saw Dakota Maas jamoney MCN from Oklahoma Tristan Newton from Yukon and also from the sleepers draft to palooza Ben Shepard from Belmont Oscar she way from Kentucky Jase Walker from Houston Trey wbury from Utah Valley okay so jeras is a real Pacer Ben Shepard real Pacer sheo had opportunities as a real Pacer they sent some dudes here and then they got a big rookie class as well with uh I guess Fury and Newton and then you throw Lance Jones into that as a throw in what are your thoughts on this roster oh my first thoughts on is I’m on nba.com Like official roster they’re disrespecting Jas Walker they said his last team was Houston and he was a rookie last year for the Pacers chip on the shoulder moment um look this team is actually good like we we got we got guys that played in the playoffs on this team like Ben Shepard was playing a good amount of minutes uh you got a good Big 10 contingency as well uh with uh Georgie and Lance Jones and Dakota Dakota Maas who just came out of nowhere good for him being back on the squad um how old is Dakota Maas gotas has gotta be like 28 by now he’s gota is he okay all right good on him um I kind of like this team like I I do like sheway was very productive last year in the G League he has the makings of like being actually Summer League MVP like because he could like he could put up 20 and 20 by trying harder than everybody else uh this is a very intriguing team to get my starting lineup here I’mma go I’m g go Tristan Newton at the one I’m gonna go Ben Shepard at the two I’m gonna go Johnny Fury at the three jeras Walker at the four Oscar sheway at the five it’s a squad dog Squad that’s a squad and no one’s under 65 it’s a squad my only issue is I want to get Georgie in the starting lineup somehow and I don’t know how um but like even man the second unit if you do what you just did the second unit’s like Kendall Brown Josiah Jordan James Georgie Lance Jones okay uh like this is just a fun group also I I guarantee you there’s going to be a game where like I bet this Pacer summer league team and it gets to crunch time and Dakota Maas is on the floor and I’m going to be screaming about it I’m going to be texting you like why play your guys let the let the Bulls [ __ ] we’re bet we’re betting on summer league Greg Carl we bet so much I think I bet more on summer league every year than I do on actual NBA games it’s crazy it’s insane I love it you also can do player props for summer league on FanDuel there was some value last year I was round robin alter crazy Ronald Robin summer league is call the number I can’t wait to put Lance Jones 15 points in around Robin in like a week uh great summerly roster I think they’ll be good I think it’ll be fun this is my favorite roster we’ve talked about thus far
