@Los Angeles Lakers

We already have a Center. Colin Castleton is a double-double MACHINE! The Lakers two-way signee averaged 16.4 PPG, 10.6 RPG, and 3.2 APG during his rookie year with the @southbaylakers. He had fourteen double-doubles including a career-high 21 REB vs. the Magic. A Lauri in the making?

Potential is def there. Compare his pre-NBA numbers to Zubac:

    Zubac: 7′ and 240lbs
Mega MIS avgs (year before joining NBA):
    13.2 ppg/5.2 reb/1.8 blocks

    Castleton: 6′ 11′ and 230lbs
Florida avgs (year before joining NBA):
    16.5 ppg/7.9 reb/3 blocks
    * *Third place in pts and first place in blocks for the conference*

That said he has looked pretty raw and rough in the minutes he did play, but I’m still waiting to see if he can improve

A Lauri in the making is crazy but I do think this guy needs a legit shot on the main roster.

  3. Klaxosaur

He needs to gain more muscle. Thats his only weakness. Dude looks so scrawny out there.

Stage 3: bargaining. We’re so close to acceptance 🙏🏽

  5. lemonpartee

Did u see him play actual nba minutes? It was bad

  6. Yommination

The copium is real on this sub now. Down bad

  7. Listen I love player development just as much as the next person, but he was a double double machine in the g league lol, so maybe let’s chill on the Colin Castleton hype train just a little longer

Lol, so we’re at this stage of the offseason eh?

When is the announcement of us waiting for the trade deadline?

  9. Odd-Direction9452

I like Colin but comparing him to Lauri? Lol

He is not ready. I wish he was, but every time he had playing time against NBA competition he looked slow and lost. We do this every year, people were hyping up JHS with amazing stats in the G-league lol

    This fucking sub man lol

There’s guys who average 30/5/5 in the G-league and struggle to score 10+ in the NBA and stay on a roster.

Being a double double “machine” in the g league doesn’t mean anything

  12. Ragingbuul

Thomas Bryant put up Shaq numbers in the g league

If the offense we turn to really is one based on AD as more of a hub, Colin could really benefit from that. He’s really a solid passer out of the high post and showed some intriguing options there. He’s put on 20 lbs, so that’s interesting.

I don’t know that he’s ready to just jump into minutes lol but I’m definitely not out on him.

Someone needs to introduce this man to California burritos.

He’s a little light in the pocket.

Can we stop talking about this guy being 6’11”. His shoulders sit at the same height as a normal 6’8-6’9 guy. He just has a damn giraffe neck that makes him taller.

  16. He could develop into a good player one day, but we don’t have time for player development. We are in win now mode in the last years of LeBron. This kid isn’t going to move the needle at all.

  17. Do we know how much he’s getting paid there?

  18. BiscottiFrosty

Castleton’s production was in the G-League. Divide it by 5 for an nba comparison…no exaggeration 🤷

  19. When will y’all get it through your skulls that G-League numbers are not the same as big league numbers?
