Shams is so eager to get this news out

  2. Fedelias

Wonder if they couldn’t fold the deal into a multi-team Lauri trade and that’s why this took a sec

I sincerely apologize MDJ i was not familiar with your game

edit: getting Buddy for 2 years 18 million is amazing and having him for a potential 4 years is pretty hype

I wonder what contract terms are? Has to be at least 3 years, and what’s going back out? He can be great as a gunner off the bench, in the role they most likely wanted Klay to fill.

For cheap too! Only a second round pick for him. Wonder what else Dunleavy is cooking 🤔

  6. Keep cookin MDJ.

Making the most out of this situation.

Might be time to move on from Lauri and go get Ingram before someone else does. This team will be competitive if we can get either of those guys and don’t want us to miss out on

Lauri or ingrim next and we can finally compete for play in again

So long, 2031 Dallas second-round pick and thank you for all the memories.

Jokes aside, this is a great roleplayer addition.

Most teams don’t even use their TPE’s, Dunleavy got Buddy + Slo Mo.

A sign and trade requires 3 years minimum, at least one year guaranteed. Wonder what the contract looks like. If it’s fitting into the rest of Klay’s traded player exception, he’s not getting a high annual, so maybe Buddy has a player option in year 2/3?

e: 4yrs, $21M guaranteed. $18M through first two, partial guarantee in year 3 ($3M), some type of player option in year 4.

Looks like they can get out pretty pain free after two years, eating that $3M would let them avoid a potential 4th year player option in Buddy’s age 35 season. Basically a 2yrs, $21M deal at that point… $11M a season seems pretty reasonable for Buddy, but I guess I didn’t really watch him much this season.

If he’s getting around $7.3M in year one, how does he jump all the way up to $10.7M in year two? Pretty big percent raise, some type of cap fuckery?

I strangely want a hield warriors jersey

I like all these moves just worried about meltons back injury

  17. Blade3rd

We got Buddy Hield for a middle schooler. LFG

  18. combatron2k21

Hield also doesn’t miss games. 79 gp average at 15ppg is not bad. Edit: Dude played 84 games last year 😮

really great guy to have off the bench with kyle Anderson. i think melton starting at 2 with steph seems to be the move due to his defense and solid outside shooting

I’m as excited as yall for another shooter to be on the court with Steph, and I’ve been high on Buddy since his Kings days with Fox… BUT we need to hope he gets back to form because realistically he hasn’t been very good the past couple of seasons. Mostly because he was barely played due to lack of defense.

  21. McCawyCulkin

Buddy’s great as a sharpshooter but he’s always seemed more interested in hoisting than winning games. I guess that’s not a major issue if he’s just coming off the bench for spacing. Basically what we were hoping Klay could do. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of percentages he can put up playing next to someone with Steph’s gravity.
