rumors are running around left and right that Lori Markin may be traded to the Warriors to the Spurs somewhere else let’s talk about [Music] it what is up San Antonio Spurs fans Golden State Warriors fans fans of any team or fans of Lori they’re coming in saying hey what’s going on with them welcome to TSR Sports I caught an article from Bleach report this morning about potential trade suitors but before we get into that I actually wanted to pull this up cuz right now the trade market Market has changed exponentially because of the Mel Bridges trade if you don’t remember this let’s recap this real quick the New York Knicks received Mel Bridges in a 2026 second round pick the Nets received by danovic an unprotected first round picks unprotected in 2025 27 29 and 31 an unprotected pick swap in 28 four top four protected 2025 first round pick via the Bucks which will be probably a late round pick and then a second round pick in 2025 oh my good that is ridiculous I haven’t addressed this on the channel this this was way too much in my humble opinion so this is the trade market right now we saw Rudy goar a couple years ago where the Jazz got what five first round picks for gobear so right now if you’re looking for a star player or is m is ever been an Allstar one time no time the trade market is ridiculous right now with the sellers getting everything the buyer just getting maybe one thing so want to put that out there before we get in the article that being said let’s get into the article and my article is not lined up I don’t know what happened there let’s there we go the Warriors are start gold state the Warriors are seemingly hoping to give Steph Curry one last crack at contention but after missing out on Paul George the remaining options are wholly uninspiring Mar might be the one Difference Maker on the board capable of getting the club onto at least the fringes of the championship discussions I think the Warriors are going to need more than just marketing they are in win now mode Klay Thompson just went to the Mavericks went to a conference rival the Mavericks Steph’s window is closing yes he’s still absolutely great player but that window is starting to close is it already closed with golden state I don’t know markting would certainly be a big move for the Warriors to help Advance them back to you know Contender uh Contender status if you will but I think it’s going to take more than just marketing the Kings come up and I didn’t realize they were possibly team that was in the mix the Kings with dearen Fox and deonis modus their window to win is right now too yeah I would say pretty much right now provided they can get the necessary lift and they would kind of have their own little Twin Towers thing going with sabonis and Markin and so the Kings maybe maybe not of course I want to address this as a San Antonio Spurs fan so our San Antonio Spurs for the Spurs fans that are watching might seem a strange Squad to conclude include in any contending talks on the heels of their 16 loss campaign back to back 16 16 lost campaign for the record but we also saw how absurdly dominant Victor wama was during his first NBA go round yes he was absolutely just a treat to watch and met and exceeded all of my own personal expectations San Antonio has enough assets to attempt a rapid acceleration yes they do a ton of first round draft Capital over the next five six seven years it just splurged on Chris Paul didn’t we splurge on Chris Paul one year 11 million didn’t he make what did he make last year at Golden State 202 30 million it’s a Splurge the steadiest point guard play in getting Markin would make wenyama significantly harder for opponents to handle I did a poll recently on this channel wood Spurs fans want us to make a trade for marketing and last I checked it was 75% yes 25% no so this is a player Spurs fan certainly would say hey bring them on in me personally Spurs aren’t in win win now mode right now some people may say yes we are TSR W’s a tall guy you don’t know how long he’s going to last with his injuries yeah maybe 5 years from now i’ agree okay we need to start doing something but right now in year number two no and I feel like we’d have to give away too many assets I.E draft picks to get a player that’s on the last year of his contract and he does have an injury history of his own great player would he improve the team yes I feel like this would be taking a step to rushing the rebuild that 2025 draft draft class is loaded the Spurs have their own pick they have the Atlanta Hawks unprotected protected pick they have a top 10 I believe pick protected protection with the bulls and then a Charlotte Hornet first round pick which is Lottery protected that’s not going to convey the horns are going to suck next year so for the Spurs no I just don’t think with the cost of players right now for trades is marketing worth five first round picks they have a feeling that would be the asking price for the Spurs I don’t think so and then the Timberwolves which is I am kind of shocked they’re on here the Minnesota timbles almost certainly don’t have the assets to landay Market in no they just traded away was it five first round picks for goar a couple years ago but it feels notable that they’re poking around we made a bold draft night deal for Rob Dillingham with by San Antonio Spurs and now might be eyeballing marinan that’s interesting activity from a club that just won 56 games and made the Conference Finals and if this did happen I guess you could call the triple Towers if somehow mark lands in Minnesota you got cat you go bear and marging but what assets do they have left who the heck knows we’ll trade you our picks in 2032 33 34 and 35 and 36 all first round unprotected so the Timberwolves win right now and win you know in the next couple years and then just committed to sucking for from 2030 and up and and having all you know having players like ant Le because they like you’re not bringing anybody in we don’t have so I don’t know I in closing is Utah ready to move on from him already they have a ton of draft Capital do they need even more draft Capital can you have too much draft Capital it’s going to get to the point where you can’t draft everybody but this is a player that’s getting talked about a ton the last 24 hours as a San Antonio Spurs content creator his name is being linked with with the Spurs left and right seeing a lot of reports saying the Spurs want him for the right price um in trade package sure I would prefer if we do trade for him this is a if it’s possible I don’t know what is with the CVA a sign and trade type deal where he signs an extension with Utah before being traded a three or four extension so that way you’re not giving up a ton of assets for a player trading for them they come here for one year and then they’re out the door the Spurs aren’t set to win next year and bring them in for one year and lose precious draft Capital would be awful don’t see that happening I can’t imagine us making a deal you would think something we worked out before them but who the heck knows drop a comment down below do you think marketing will get traded if you’re a Spurs fan what would you be willing to give up for for him if there’s any Warriors fans Kings fans wolves fans you what kind of draft Capital dont overrstimate draft picks. draft picks are for geetting talents. if spurs believe markknem is they should go for it, lauri will have great timpact having 2 skillfull all star 7f player is huge and difficult to overcome. just dont give jazz too many 1st like what they get for gobert. spirs should refer to dejounte murray trade to prlicans 2 1st should bre ok. use the one got for dilly as part of trade deal
I never and I mean never see Markkanen highlights on ESPN. Where does the hype for this guy stem from? What are some of his career high scoring game stats looking like?

Spurs should flex their trade war chest to keep other teams from joining the fray, then let the Jazz extend Markkanen. By the trade deadline the Spurs should know how the 2025 off-season is shaping up. You can then decide if your 2025 picks are going to be super valuable or not, if not pickup Markkanen. He is the rarest archetype (other than Wemby) a 7ft shooter with 50/40/90 splits. His stats and volume are essentially those of a 4th year Dirk.
I’d say spurs are a year or two away from competing for a championship I don’t see it taking 5 years.

I don't think people understand these two points. 1. Lauri is going to cost 4-5 first round picks (and our good ones), and Keldon and Sochan or Devin. 2. The draft next year is the strongest draft in decades, the top 10 in the draft could all be all stars. Even after the top 10 there is massive talent and opportunity like we haven't had since Wemby, and we have the potential for 4 first round picks. Why would we do this? Is Lauri that great of a player? Is bringing a minus defender to a team that is shaping up to be a defensive juggernaut really the plan? And then what? We have no picks or players to trade for upgrades and depend on Lauri and Wemby working alone? Come on this is not how the Spurs do things. You can explore a trade like this, even offer 3 picks and some salary filler. But Lauri is not Jokic, or Embiid or Luka. If we are going to spend that much, we need a top 10 player not a top 25 player

I think your analysis is wrong about the Spurs wanting to win now. CP3 was brought over to rush the rebuild. They traded away Dillingham to get a couple more 1st round draft picks. I would give up Sochan, Johnson, Collins, 1st round picks of 2025, 2027, 2030, and 2031. We would keep a solid core, and we would have enough capital to get another role player down the road.

I think the moves we did so far are enough.
This year is still for developement. We dont need to rush anything. Chris paul will be a great mentor for our young players and hopefully our overall team Iq gets better. We will still be one of the bottom teams in the west but we will be much better(I predict 30-40 wins) the priority for us should be developing the young core and get a definitive assesement on our young players(Jeremy , vassel, castle..), so we can ; moving forward trade , draft and move people accordingly (next draft is the draft u want to actually be a bottom feeding team for ) and we can then be more aggresively in the off-season for the trades .As of now lets chill and let the season pan out and see how much our guys improved.
offer jazz 4 1st (our own) , GSW can obly give 3 1st max due to washington own their 2030 1st. SAC can only give 3 1st due to Atl owning their 2025 1st, if jazz let them deal with gsw or sac
do you know that if we traded for lauri we also get his bird right? extending player like kauri is nery easy just give him max contract since he deserved it as all star calibre player. extending player like sochan is doffocult because he is neither an allstar or a scrub we have to negotiate his value, that is why vassell, kj contracts are very valuable to us we extended pretty good playersa lot less than max contract, it is not easy tbecause players and their agents always think they are all star calibre player and deserved nothing less than max. that is why player likr jalen brunson left dallas difficulties of determining the player value.
I like lauri but I just think he is going to cost the spurs 2 much and there’s no guarantee he sings an extension and could just walk away. He will also push 1 of the young spurs to the bench and maybe hinder their development.
