[Lewenberg] “I’m told it is something the Raptors have explored at least internally but those talks haven’t progressed very far, not yet anyway “. “Trading Poeltl would be a step in this direction for tanking” (regarding trading Jakob)

Nba needs loan system like soccer so we can loan Poetle to the Grizzlies for one season while we tank for Cooper Flagg
We shouldn’t trade poeltl until we get a replacement, those days where we didnt have a good center was rough even for tanking standards
There’s been enough smoke on this from different sources that’s he’s not untouchable.
If they’d get a younger C and a decent pick they’d trade him.
If they don’t then they’d keep him. But remember, he didn’t want to be on a rebuilding roster.
I could see it happening mid season if things are going bad for us. Yak himself would probably welcome a move to a winning team.
Only team I could have thought would go for him would be okc but they just got Isiah
He has 2 years left + 1 year player option.
so next summer he’s essentially an expiring player.
gotta make a decision before then.
Jakob is not on our timeline and his value will go down from here, I was more so expecting a trade deadline move for him
A 2 year rebuild would do wonders for this team. They have some nice pieces. Adding a few more quality pieces would be great.
can we just trade jak and just tank instead of half measures. Jak has value and we are not competing for awhile. we need to tank for a year or two more imo
Scooters career is going to be over by the time the Raptors stop tanking.
Fuck that. Keep him and get Brook Lopez for a pick. Lose in the second round.
Zach Edey and Salary Filler, Grizzles won’t be satisfied with a rookies play to start. This is my prediction for a midseason trade.
lol this team is aimless
I would love to see poeltl gone. Every time I see him he just looks like a wasted first round pick to me.
I just don’t want Scottie at the 5 again
Jak signed with us with the promise that the Raps would be competitive, so I highly doubt he wants to spend the prime of his career in the middle of a re-build…we would be doing him a favour by trading him
I’m guessing no team is offering an 8th pick overall for him
It’s not a step. It’s the step.
Poeltl is the difference between 8/9 and 11/12
