    >> Martin is expected to become the Sixers’ starting power forward, sliding into a frontcourt that now includes All-NBA forward Paul George and MVP center Joel Embiid

4 years wtf?! didn’t expect that at all

  3. Seems like a good deal for a starting caliber role player. Not bad honestly.

Oh my… Things are coming together nicely. Is this hope that I’m feeling? I’ve never felt it to know…

    oh my god that’s amazing

assumed he’d take a 1+1 to hit FA again next year, this is sick! great role player on super cheap deal for all of PG’s contract is so ideal

  7. BabaBrody

Love it. Totally reasonable for today, potentially way undervalued in 2 years. And very tradeable just in case.

so apparently oubre and martin’s about to get the same amount of money that max christie’s getting from the lakers lol

Joel, please fucking stay healthy, I’m begging you.

That’s a crazy good contact if the Heat voodoo don’t effect him

Assuming standard raises his deal is coming in less than BBall Paul’s over the next two years, insane.

They can also get tricky and start it at $9m and descend it, gives you more apron flexibility in future years as PG/Embiid/Maxey get raises

Incredible get, Paul you will be forever loved

Where does this put our cap situation now?

  14. Sheriff_Gotcha

Man, with how different this roster looks it’s going to be a crazy season rooting for all the new faces.

  15. PhatYeeter

That’s insane he didn’t sign a 1+1 to try and cash out next year when there’s like 15 teams with cap space. That and he turned down like $65M from the Heat earlier in FA. Dude needs to fire his agent.

  16. godofhammers3000

lol his agent should be fired he turned down 5 years 65mm a few weeks back apparently

  17. BassGuru82

Very similar player to DFS but for $6 mil less. Pretty crazy Morey created this roster without trading a single pick. Could still add an extremely impactful player at the deadline.

  18. jloops03

8 mil a year for a legitimate two way wing is insane value

Temper expectations a bit. After going through hell with Josh Richardson on our team I am expecting this guy to be extremely fucking meh

Iirc this man is a Celtic killer, right? It’s about time we fight Al Horford with Al Horford

  21. kyledukes

Phenomenal fit. He’s arguably a better perimeter defender than PG and a better slasher. So now we finally have guys that can shoot or attack closeouts when embiid passes off doubles or maxey gets in the paint for a kick out…finally!

  23. pickledelbow

This isn’t a terrible contract. Moving him wouldn’t be that hard if we had to. Clearly with the new cba it seems like years are almost as important if not more important than dollars. Role players go in and out of the nba so fast these days that people just want security and it makes sense
