I’m seeing a lot of people saying that eventually Tari will take Brooks’ spot in the line-up but I don’t see Brooks coming off the bench happy. He was already unhappy with his role in Memphis when he was a clear starter so I just don’t see him settling with coming off the bench for us.
With that being said I feel like Brooks could eventually be traded and his contract isn’t too bad at all for teams to take.
This mock could be a little biased because I’m a huge fan of Isaac but I feel like he would fit really really well in our team. He could come off the bench and play 3-5. He’s one of the best defenders in the league when healthy, if he wasn’t such an injury prone he would be much more valued around the league. Isaac would fit really well with our defensive game-plan because of his ability to defend 1-5, meaning that he has insane switchability.
I don’t see Magic being willing to trade Isaac very easily though for many reasons. But if they were to do this trade would you do it?

This is something that I don’t see too many people here talking about. Brooks should be traded if Tari takes a leap next year. I’m not sure what his trade value is though.
The magic would never do this. J Issac just signed a new good contract and when healthy is one of the best defenders in the league

I think Isaac is a bad contract he has a long injury history and now he’s locked into almost 20 million a year for the next 5 seasons.
Lets wait till midseason for any major koves as we dont know how the players will respond to 2nd year of Ime Udoka.
There’s no way the Magic do this.
I think we can get a better deal for Brooks than that. He may not have love from certain players but there are a lot of teams that would take him straight up for a quality role player or with a second rounder or two instead.
