Greece eliminated Luka & Slovenia, so there’s that.

Greece was solid in the qualifying tournament. Luka was tired and had very little support but Croatia was the toughest team. It’s going to be a very interesting first game – big thing is that Greece is coming off a week of games that counted while Canada hasn’t played a game that counted in a year.

Canada qualifying for Olympics is an achievement in itself. It’s not a gimme to get out of that group, but I imagine they are still the slight favourite. Greece and Spain will be tough and missing guys like Edey and Wiggins will hurt their chances. But we still have the runner-up MVP, RJ, Brooks, Murray, Nembhard, Dort, and Kelly. We’ve got more talent and plus lots of chemistry from last year. I feel good.
