His shot looks good, but that's not what I was paying attention to.
The gravity on his shots creates open lanes for guys. He knows how to manipulate the threat of his shot to get to the ball to guys in advantage positions. And he can dribble into it, not needing to be spoonfed and wide open. Defenders stick him like glue and over-react to his shot.
This is something we've never had in the Luka era.
PJ and DJJ shot acceptable percentages from 3, but only because they were wide the hell open on every shot and/or in the corner. Klay is much, much more versatile shooting threat and will actually help out Luka and Ky, and not just the other way around.
I think Klay will unlock the Mavs in exactly the way we've been missing. We're about to see an offensive explosion this upcoming season.

Turns out signing a legendary offensive weapon is a good idea.
I really do think this is the key to gamebreaking the Mavs offense.
Its always been Luka create, everyone stay and wait for the inevitable open shot. Klay is the first true off-ball movement guy we’ve had in this era. While also being the best shooter by far.
His gravity is going to open things up for LuKai even if his shot is off. I’m so excited for this.
