People like to ignore this. When DLo is the primary initiator he’s an excellent passer. Lebron takes the reigns a lot. When Lebron missed 11 games last year DLo averaged 11 apg when he was the primary playmaker.

Considering his trade value (or lack thereof) it will be hard to upgrade from him imo. He’s the closest we have to a pure playmaker.

Yes, this is one of the reasons why I keep thumping the if-you’re-going-to-trade-D’Lo-get-a-point-guard-back card. Reaves can play some PG, but that isn’t his game. The Lakers need someone other than LeBron who can consistently get other players the ball.

Something D’Lo can improve on is to merely shoot fewer three pointers when they aren’t falling. Three is better than two, but two is better than zero (and the opposing team in transition).

We may as well keep DLo, we aren’t gonna get appropriate value in return for him. Better to trade Rui if we are just doing Salary.

10 pts 10 assists DLo was my favorite version.

You cannot beat the best teams in a 7 game series with a starting lineup where 3/5 players don’t play defense.

It’s plain and simple, this is why he is being shopped around.

Also, JJ is not having Reaves come off the bench. He seemed most ecstatic about him and his potential progress over anyone else on the team.

Praying this is the off season where Dlo learns to use his wingspan on defense

I love how he kept passing that shit out of bounds in the playoffs!

D’lo is silently a pretty important piece to this team, especially during the regular season. His playmaking and three-point shooting is extremely vital and not easily replaced. I love Rui but his contract/skillset is probably better to shop on the market

He is a great distributor good for 4 assists in playoffs

is this the guy refuse to hurdle and eat his fruit when he couldn’t make any of this shot in one of the game? disgusting behavior

Bruh the fact mofos defending DLO after the past 2 playoffs is astounding.

  13. TorontoRaptors34

The fact mofos were saying nah DLO better than DJM and Bruce Brown. One mofo even said DLO woulda won a ring if he was in Bruce Browns place hell no. Bruce Brown was a huge reason they won a ring. DLO woulda gotten hoed down and played off the floor.

Y’all still doing this? Give it up.

  15. Dlo in the regular season is great. Solid playmaker, great shooter. His concerns always comes in the playoffs.

I gotta say tho, it wouldn’t be the end of the world if we had to keep him on the roster, he can ball for sure. This is not like the Westbrook situation where we HAD to get rid of him.

  16. Last_Operation6747

He really passed the shit out of the ball in the last 2 playoffs averaging 4 assists and 2 turnovers a game

JFC he’s a liability on D. Do y’all forget he got benched against Denver two yrs in a row. Wanna make it 3?

  18. Miserable-Lawyer-233

Yeah, but Westbrook did that too. On the Lakers, Westbrook averaged 18.5 points, 7.1 assists, and 7.4 rebounds, yet nobody cared. Similarly, D’Angelo Russell averaged 18 points, 6 assists, and 3 rebounds, and nobody cares because, despite his ability to pass, his overall contribution falls short. His negatives outweigh his positives.

Patrick Beverly can average 11 assist a night if you give him 34 minutes to do it. It’s what NBA PG’s do.
