Masai reflects on new direction of the team: “On the second day of the draft is the first time I felt really good about the last year and a half. TBH it has been a tough year and a half, and maybe that’s partly my fault, or things coming at us, but it just wasn’t us.”

I love you Masai and happy to have you but it’s definitely not a “maybe” and very probably not a “partly”.

I mean on one hand, good to reflect on the team’s direction and general state but on the other hand…yeah, we all know Bobby and Masai are responsible for the Poeltl and Young trades that didn’t move the needle at either deadline for a team that should have made a different call at the 2023 deadline

Isn’t it a bit concerning how much they’re counting on a bunch of 2nd rounders to pan out?

I like the picks but at the end of the day, most 2nd rounders don’t even last in the NBA.

  4. i think the last 1.5 years was in a bit of limbo figuring out what to do with nurse, pascal, fred, og.

we made a clear choice at the deadline and now the path is clear. so i think he’s feeling good b/c i think this was the first draft of the new reset and path moving forward and he knows exactly where the team is.

I am surprised that so much guaranteed money was offered to these second-round draft picks. Historically, many players selected in the second round are out of the league within two years. Of Dewan Hernandez, David Johnson, Jalen Harris, Christian Koloko, and Dalano Banton, only Banton remains on an NBA roster.

  7. They had to pivot. They did. We still have to see how the assets we received play out.

Summer league will be night and day vs. last year slog.

Last year’s roster only had Gradey as an NBA player this year. There is zero chance this years team ends up with the same breakdown by next years summer league.

lol welcome to the NBA Darko, here is a team of non NBA players.

    Euro league players 5

    Aussie league 2

    G league 6

    NBA 1

Puerto Rico national league! (BSN) 1

    Woof!

Raps have had some bad luck w/ koloko and jontay so its not all front offices fault

Ya the last year and a half have sucked. But what team hasn’t had to pay the price of building a championship winner in the years that follow? The fact that we got Scottie is the only thing that saved us from a prolonged rebuild
