In a moment where the Lakers offense hit a wall, Memphis making their run to close and take game 4. All of a sudden DLO goes on his patented heater and brings life back to LA. Listen to the reaction of the crowd. Deafening.
The Lakers draftee that has had a polarizing career to say the least is brought back to where it all started. Put the team on his back and brought them back into the game. Unfortunately, he would foul out a little after but LBJ took us home.
I get chills when watching this every time because I know how much this moment meant. DLO is a true Laker!

Dennis, AR, DLo.. this guy Ham was insane and it worked
If this dude was on another team, it would cost us 2 FRP to get him.
This sounds like exaggeration, but I think athleticism is the only thing that holds Dlo from being a slightly worse version of current day Kyrie. That quick first step and ability to finish through contact and create space is the only thing he needs to be an elite consistent playoff scorer. Not to mention his defense would be much better with improved quickness since he has enough size. Obviously, he will never achieve this but still crazy to think about.
Man if we could just get back to how we were that year I’d honestly be satisfied. That shit was so fun to watch until we made it to the wcf. I really thought we was going to play the heat in the finals and we would’ve gotten 18, Bron would’ve got his 5th. Man….
I was at this game. Dlo completely changed the atmosphere of the arena with his back to back to back 3s. LeBron with the game tying layup. AD on defense.
We haven’t had many enjoyable moments since Kobe’s achilles. The one championship we won we weren’t even able to watch in person. This game reminded me what it was like to be a Lakers fan.
no goosebumps. i still remember DLO’s lazy post inlet passes that get stolen very easily
Absolutely being a killer in the playoffs
Wait a second, everyone here keeps saying DLo sucks so why would anyone get goosebumps over anything he’s done
I was sitting 4th row for this game. Took my 8 year old son and we made the trip from utah. He became a laker fan for life that evening!
Playoff D Lo, 2023 was a fun season, the turn around after the trade, the new energy D Lo, Rui, & Vando brought to the team. The Lakers to me really felt like a sleeper team that season & I wasn’t to far off. First play in era team to reach the conference finals.
I saw an article that said Phil Handy is unlikely to be on JJ’s new staff, because Handy felt he received no consideration for open HC position. I hope Phil gets a shot at an HC job in a good situation.
