NBA Insider on Knicks pursuit of a backup center, more intel on Mikal Bridges deal | SNY
couple of notes here as the Knicks get through their offseason get ready for summer league uh the Knicks had been in touch with Utah had had some interest in Walker Kesler the big man as a potential solution for them at the backup five but uh teams in touch with Utah say the Jazz are looking for at least a first round pick in return for Kessler in these conversations that had gone on earlier in the off season so that’s going to be a tough price for the Knicks to meet or match and I I would assume that they wouldn’t be able to get that deal done and then you look at your other options they have been in touch with precious shua auua has drawn interest from several contenders uh I believe he has a couple offers on the table there now let’s see where aoua goes in the next few days but nonetheless Nicks need to fill that backup five position after Losing Isaiah hartenstein Mel Bridges will meet the media in ter town on Tuesday Shawn Mark net GM saying that Mel Bridges did not request to trade or ask to leave and I just want to address that for a minute because we had reported that Bridges and his side were prepared to tell teams interested in trading for him that he was going to sign with the Knicks that he wanted to be a Nick at one point of clarification I believe Bridges side communicated to the Nets that that was going to be Bridges stance of course Bridges wouldn’t be a free agent for a couple of years but uh that certainly happened and it was a factor I believe in how things uh proceeded before this trade so just a note there we’ll hear from Bridges on Tuesday and the Knicks will kick off summer league later this week
SNY NBA Insider Ian Begley breaks down the Knicks search for a backup center. Candidates include Utah’s Walker Kessler and recent Knick, now a free-agent Precious Achiuwa. Ian also dives into what may have expedited the Mikal Bridges trade to the Knicks.

Mi sto godendo moltissimo l'allenamento mentale fornito da questa discussione. È come una palestra per il cervello.🧡
Three team trade?
Kessler is a perfect fit and great future piece, worth a 1st no doubt. We need Achiuwa as well.
Utah just doesnt want to trade with the Knicks
Knicks need to give up a 1st and 5+ second round picks… Kessler has massive value. Id even give up McBride, painfully
Duope reith. Cheaper
I'm more of an insider than this clown.
Sims, Dadiet, and Pistons protected 1st round pick for Kessler?
All I know is I want a legit Center to replace iHart, meaning no one shorter than 6'11. No Forward-sized guys!
What’s one more first tbh. You just gave 6. Round the roster if you are going all in and obviously they are.
Well, I’m of the opinion that we make a trade for Nick Richards. Unless we think Sims is ready. It might cost us Duce to get Richards tho but we need a legit backup with size. Maybe Duce and a couple of 2’s and a salary filler for Richards & Tre Mann. Also, if might be a good thing to sign Saddiq Bey for more bench scoring at the 3
Ewing
Kessler is a no brainer.. a 1st for a good young center on a rookie deal.. why is Leon being so cautious now.. The Knicks need someone like him!! 💯🙌🏼🙌🏼
Let’s go 🔥
Dadiet 1 fitst and 5 second round picks for him
Can Kessler shoot the ball? Can he shoot from 3pt?
Kessler got destroyed by Edey in the Memphis game. Knicks may need to look else where.
