Houston Rockets Sign Jeenathan Williams My Thoughts!!
yo what’s going on guys this Houston Sports Talk Back in another video today and today the Houston Rockets are signing genan Williams to a two-way contract genian Williams 25-year-old who’s played in the in the NBA for two seasons was with the Rockets last year and played 22 games the Rockets are bringing him back on a two-way contract in the exact same uh position he was signed in last year and played 22 games for the rockets in 22 games with the Rockets averaging 6 minutes per game he shot 54 4% from the floor 40% from the three and also averaged three points per game with one rebound per game and a half assist per game with nearly a half a steal per game with the Rockets more importantly uh Jan Williams you know the numbers he put up in the g-league with the Houston Rockets g-league team uh the Vipers where you know I’m going to go over um so keep in mind he’s a 65 guard he averaged 18 points per game six rebounds per game four assists per game in a total of nine games played since you know he was sitting on the Rock on the Rockets bench a lot he did not look at you can look at the other two the other two uh you know two-way contract guys for the Rockets you got Germaine Samuels and you got Nate Hinton Nate Hinton played 24 games with the Vipers and Germaine Samuels played a total of 25 games with the Vipers now uh here’s genan Williams Nate Williams uh well his real name is Nate Williams but people call him janathan Williams janathan Williams played only nine games with the Vipers so he was not you know he played you know he was playing so good with the Vipers and also uh he’s like having a two-a he’s like having’s he’s one of those guys that yes he’s on a two-a contract but he could easily be on an NBA contract with the houon Rockets team and if the Rockets gave him good minutes he would be playing pretty decent for this rocket te I’m going to go over what he did in five games with the Portland Trailblazers in the 2022 23 season this is what he did when Portland gave him a chance to get some solid minutes five games and four starts with Portland in the 2223 season got 25 minutes a night 61.5% from the floor 375% from three on almost two attempts per game from three 11 points per game three rebounds per game two assists per game nearly one block per game and a half a block per game so I love this signing for the Rockets J Williams is someone who Rockets fans love um I know every at least I’ve been to a couple games a couple of rockets uh blowouts um some most in the Rockets favor a couple or only one where it wasn’t in their favor uh I went to one game where they got blown out by Golden State but the there were a couple other games where where I went to where the Rockets uh were doing the butt kicking and uh Jan Williams got into the game it’s not like Bon where you know you hear all the cheers and the the chance for boan to come in the game uh but I know Rockets fans love Jan Williams I really like him and would love to see him getting more playing time but uh it’s going to be tough on you know with this rotation being even better than it was last year uh this year adding in Reed Shepard and AJ Griffin and potentially more in free agency let me know your thoughts in the comment section and peace out
