doing well I apologize uh you know had a little bit of an emergency uh I don’t I live in New York in case most people don’t know and I’m in an apartment and so you know obviously I don’t own my property so anyway the landlord uh has been working on some things um and uh happened to be working on some stuff with the water the hot water heater and so I had to make some arrangements and you know store some water up and all types of stuff because we don’t know how long he’s going to be working on on the water so it may not be water for a while yeah emergency stuff things happen it’s life it’s living but we here we here now folks all right hope everybody’s doing good um let’s see what we’re dealing with today because you know I’m sure it’s it’s uh G to be uh very uh hot over here yep currently 81 degrees uh chance of rain all day you know it’s going to be one of those annoying days where it may rain a little bit then stop raining Sun comes out then it starts raining a little bit later you know one of those days yeah it’s 81 degrees right now high of 91 and the humidity is 76% so it’s soupy out there folks um and it looks like we are in the dead of it yeah it’s going to be like that for uh uh oh no actually Sunday and Monday Sunny nice we’ll take it 93 though it is what it is and then goes back into that every day a chance of rain weather it’s life anyway I hope sometime today with you know hopefully while the show is going on let me just double check again and see if it’s posted now me a second just uh want to make sure because there is a chance that Rus jobus will be playing which I think that’s interesting because I would love to see the contrast between Tyler kic and Rus uh because really you know now it’s a situation where now Rus is like oh okay so you know a little while ago they needed me but now they got this Tyler kic kid so maybe they don’t need me as much so I I don’t know I would love to see how rokus uh treats that how he comes over here to if he does play for the summer league and and how that translates so uh we’ll see let’s see here 2020 for boom yes okay cool it is released all right so I don’t know I must have missed it I I the the headline says Nick’s summer league roster full updated list of players and schedule and then directly below it it says the Knicks haven’t announced their full summer league roster but they for I don’t know I don’t know what’s going on I don’t know what’s wrong I I don’t get it it’s cool yeah so the Knicks haven’t announced it as of yet I believe it’s because they’re still rounding out their their team and trying to figure out who they want on the the summer league roster but uh yeah so I don’t know okay well it was a try it was worth a shot guys Jesus I don’t get it man I don’t get it why even say that if you don’t have the damn roster like why oh I get it clickbait my bad I fell for it you got me got my morning cup of joe or Joanne you know what I mean shout out to the chat and to my guy David Smith in the building he says salute to Ron in the chat hope those rumors of Mitch and Deuce in the first round pick 2025 for Jaylen Durant and jayen Ivy are true I would make that deal in a second if I’m the Knicks I don’t think they are true bro it’s a nice rumor um but honestly I don’t think the Knicks really want to trade Deuce McBride unless they absolutely have to and right now if I’m being honest I just don’t feel like absolutely have to I think there’s ways for them to address the center position without giving up deuce and I think that if the Knicks put themselves in a position where they have to give up Deuce to get a backup center I think they did themselves a disservice you know what I mean I think the Knicks still have draft picks that they can move I also think that um when you’re talking about a backup center you want somebody who’s a backup who most likely is not going to get a lot of minutes who doesn’t need to do much they just need to do the core principles of what a center should do rebound play some defense and you know maybe knock down an occasional free throw or a little uh uh you know hit a shot in the lane of some sort you don’t have to be we we we want more but that’s not what we need now if you’re looking for a starting center because you don’t feel Mitchell Robinson is the answer that’s different that’s a different story and I also don’t uh just in particular with Jaden Ivy I I’m I’m I’m just not sold on him right now and I honestly don’t know if the Knicks need a jayen ivy if jayen Ivy comes to the Knicks he needs to play where are you gonna play him so that’s the thing why I think this trade has is dead in the water before it even gets talked about like the Knicks have Dante devant chenzo Josh Hart Jaylen Brunson Julius Randall maau Bridges OG an anobi where does Jayden Ivy fit and if you want Jayden Ivy to be better and you want him to actually turn into something he needs to fit he needs to play he got to get better because that’s the problem with jayen Ivy I think you know he had a lot of pressure on him you know starting the season with Detroit and all that and uh I think he only started to get better when he got consistent reps because if you guys remember Ivy was struggling with Detroit and he wasn’t playing that great he had moment where he got benched they cut his minutes and he just wasn’t looking good out there and then eventually he you know had a game or two where he looked a little better and then he started to get more minutes because and those minutes translated to him getting a little bit better out there I think he needs to play and I just think that I think that’s just not a good fit for the Knicks because we got too much going on and there’s no there’s only one basketball and just playing time is is limited um he’s not a great defender by any means right and so why why would you H how do you see him as a good fit right now if we didn’t have maau uh Bridges then maybe you could say Well they’re still opening for minutes we could use him he’s I mean he could be you know something special lightning in a bottle and we could catch him at the right time but at this point now I don’t I don’t see why they would make that move and I’m just you know also I want to be fair to him I mean I think the organization would like to be fair to him and I think Detroit n well Detroit probably doesn’t care but I think the Knicks would probably say why would we want to bring this young kid over here Who’s Got Talent who’s just going to sit on the bench you know what I mean I just think that I don’t think they would I don’t think it works for them but you never know anything could happen I’m just I just don’t see it I do like Duran though don’t get me wrong would I want him on the team hell yes um but uh I just don’t see it and then even if you made this trade guys you still in the same situation is Duran uh Duran however you want to say it is he an upgrade over Mitch right now I mean I don’t know guys I I I think Mitch gets a real bad rap my I’ve always said this I get on you know the Mitch top I sometimes I come down you know kind of hard when I’m talking about him pause but it’s not about his ability Mitch is a good player he’s limited offensively but defensively he’s a really good player guys and when he’s heal and consistent out there you see it the more and more Mitch plays the more problems he causes for the opposing team so it’s not like he’s not a good player is he better than Duren uh defensively yes I think he is and if you if you don’t think he is I think you’re fooling yourself Mitch is better than Duran when he’s out there healthy and consistent is Duran a better player overall yeah he probably is um because he can do a little bit more you know what I mean and but he’s still learning he’s still coming into his own right um it’s just that I don’t I don’t know if that’s necessarily going to fix our problems we bring him and he replaces Mitch and we still need a backup uh Center we still don’t have a backup center I mean of course with we got to see what happens with Sims and with um you know the other guy ariel uh hulp I’m I gotta hear the you know the problem is I haven’t heard somebody pronounce it so I got to hear it before I know how to pron it so you know we’ll see I I don’t know I just think that we short changing Mitch a little bit yes I know he’s never healthy and I and there’s a reason to to move on from him if that’s the case but let’s not downplay his impact when he is healthy when he does play consistently you know Mitch is good he just is limited offensively all right so uh shout out to Margaret Edwards in the building what up Margaret appreciate you uh man one of the OG’s of than Sims they have played more than Sims give Sims cons um you don’t really believe that do you oh wait no no no hold on you said spend money on my fault my apologies Sherwin you you right at this point you are definitely right there ain’t nobody out there so yeah I mean if that’s if that’s your case then yeah Sims is probably your best option but as far as trading for somebody that’s different the Knicks would wait to make a a move teams will be getting rid of players before the All-Star break yeah I think I think what’s going to happen is the Knicks is just putting out their feelers to see who might be available and what the asking price is and I think that they might find that right now the asking price might be a little too high and so the Knicks might have to just go at it with Mitchell we’re in a tough situation here guys you know why because they have you know the ability to go at go at it with Mitchell Robinson and see how it goes if he’s healthy it’ll be fine um and then try to bring in you know hu pory and then see what Sims can do right but if Mitchell Robinson goes down we’d be we we might be in some trouble because then we we look desperate so then a team that has something we want can basically ask for whatever the hell they want not that we can do it or we want to do it but we might Force to overpay and do more than we want to get a backup in in in essence I mean the backup to be a starter but really because if Mitch comes back the person might be turned into a backup again depending on how good that person is I don’t know it’s just it’s a it’s a little tricky it’s a little tricky I will say that um Carlos says he’d rather see precious get minutes over Sims you know listen right now precious is the better player but he limited right he’s 68 just like Sims but Sims could jump out the gym right Sims has really good feet Sims has a really good frame he can use all of this to his Advantage but the problem is Sims just doesn’t know how to put it all together yet now he is working with that trainer David Zenon or zenan I don’t know how I don’t know how he pronounces it um but he’s a really good trainer he’s worked a lot I heard the other day um and I knew this but I forgot I heard the other day that he worked with um you know Obie toppen throughout the last off season and shout out to whoever post this I I want to give you credit but I can’t remember you know I look at a lot of different things um but you know I don’t know if you guys no but um Obi toppen improved his free throw shooting tremendously this past season an he shot over 40% from three we say stuff about Obie but you know numbers don’t lie so uh he definitely working with that guy helped uh you know definitely helped improve uh you know his uh his numbers out there so shout out to David Zenon and uh so he’s working with Sims and uh you know Sims has been in the lab like working on shooting now I’m gonna do this guys since we’re talking about the backup center and all that I will I will bring up some of that that video that I saw with Sims working out but I want to tell you guys that you know this is practice there’s no defense I’ve seen Mitch look good in practice I’ve seen Mitch cross people over step back three like i’ you know I mean I seen I don’t want to put all my eggs in the uh the offseason practice basket so I got to I gota wait and see but I I’ll I’ll I’ll put that video stuff up so y’all can see it if y’all haven’t seen it Sims did look good you know he looked kind of fluid out there and I think you know shout out to that trainer because I do think he’ll work with him and get him better I just don’t know how well it’s going to translate into a basketball game when the pressure is on and the defense is around shout out to Darren Hood centers right the backup power forward position you don’t need anything crazy at all you just need somebody that could soak up a couple minutes here and there that’s it because you got Julius Randall out there um and God forbid I don’t want to say that knock on wood God forbid anything happens with Julius for an extended period of time I think just having somebody who can be serviceable is is is good enough because you still do have OG who can you know slide over if precious is officially resigned because I still haven’t seen that if he’s officially resigned then you know precious can slide can’t uh I don’t know if you guys know this it they kind of kept it under the radar it wasn’t it’s no big deal McBride had um uh he had recently had offseason surgery um on his uh foot so I saw him he was at a uh at a um a Nick Camp event maybe about three weeks or four weeks ago and he came in with a little bit of a walking boot um and he was on like one of them things that has like the little wheels on it so his leg was elevated but he had the the boot on so I don’t think he can even play in the summer league they’re probably gonna restr him so I McBride is out um Sims I think yeah I could see Sims playing man sometimes you know when you’ve been in the league a little bit it’s kind of like a uh you don’t want to be in the summer league because it’s kind of like uh for the young guys but Sims is still very young and still unexperienced to a certain degree so I wouldn’t mind seeing Jericho out there working on some some things like trying some different things shooting jump shots or whatever let’s see let’s see what you’re doing I mean I wouldn’t mind seeing that although you don’t want him to get hurt in the summer league I’m not saying you know but you know anything can Happ or Nick’s X whatever the hell you want to call and I’m watching but what’s happened lately is you know I like to watch different things that are aren’t aren’t Nick related I’ve been watching all these freaking podcasts of all these other teams and stuff I’ve been watching Brooklyn Nets podcast and stuff I’m like oh my God I gotta get out of this rabbit hole but um yeah man just listening to people talk about iHeart like iHeart wasn’t important for this team like the stuff that he did wasn’t you know uh special it’s kind of wild once again I don’t want to confuse things I know who Mitchell Robinson is I know who uh Isaiah hartenstein is these dudes are not Joel embiid and the Joker you know what I mean I get it but the stuff they do in their roles when they’re healthy and focused is incredible to a team and let me tell you something we can hate all we want we can be mad that he’s not here salute to that man salute to him for getting his money and and taking care of his family all that stuff it is what it is but he’s going to ball out for OKC okay we can hate if we want to hate but Isaiah hardenstein is a good player he’s going to ball out for OKC and then he’s going to make that team better you know what I mean they they may be limited in certain aspects but they’ve got other guys that pick up for that and they’ve got stretch long you know Paws bigs uh um tweeners you know what I mean that can shoot the Rock and that team is really he got a whole bunch of everything over there they’ll be fine and he’s going to fit well so I just want people to understand like you know I iHeart actually did some really good things and I hate the fact like I said if YouTube didn’t freaking stop me from being who I want to be I would be putting up videos guys I would show y’all hey remember this guy I would show you what ihart got busy in January all the stuff he was doing because we forget I would show you when Mitch got busy in the 21 or 23 games I think it was 21 games before he got hurt how he was catching all these Steals and dunking on people and blocking shots and really looking like he was going to be on one of them all defensive teams I would show you that teams are doing everybody is going to try to get better you it has to be put together right and it’s got to work the the people got to gel the chemistry got to be there one thing that the Knicks is gonna have this year is chemistry now it may not happen right out the gate but give it a little time it’s GNA happen the blessing that we have is we brought back OG who’s already been here now he’s going to be here for a full year it’s GNA get even better for him we’re gonna bring we’re g to have Julius Randall coming back healthy that’s going to help we’re bringing in Macau Bridges who already knows these other guys and honestly listen if we keeping it real and keeping it funky maau is someone who needs this too okay because he was struggling over there in Brooklyn you know what I mean we don’t pay attention to that too much because you know we worried about our own team right but Macau was struggling in Brooklyn I was watching some video and I’m watching his stats and up and down throughout the months yeah he finished with some good numbers for a season right but as far as his consistency with regards to his offensive output and how was playing even on defense Macau was struggling and like I told y’all I’ve been listening to Brook Brooklyn Nets podcast and if they don’t know about him better I mean they got to know better than me I’m listening I’m watching the video macau’s got some stuff that he needs to work on as well and I think this is a breath of fresh air for him you know he gets to come step back away from having all that pressure on him of being the number one on that net team when you we already know guys he’s not a number one he could be a number two but I think he’s more of a number three right but all that pressure he had on him to to to play at a high level and be you know the answer for them is just too much especially when you’re not in that role like when you don’t fit that role and he struggled at it and in turn the team struggled you know what I mean so him leaving that and coming to the Knicks where you know you got your boy Jaylen here you got Dante here you got Josh here that’s the Friendship the camaraderie that’s good that’s going to help him that’s going to build help build up his character and and and make him you know feel confident he’s confident but you know that’s gonna help his confidence right and then the other thing is we got dogs over here okay in general and then we got a a a pit bull and Jaylen Brunson he’s our number one I you don’t got to worry about being number one we got that covered you know what I mean maybe you got to be number two wait wait wait Julius randle’s back you don’t got to worry about being number two we got that covered just get in where you fit in you know what I mean and I think most improved player on the Knicks in my opinion I think you’re going to see the confidence level of Duce McBride rise even more his defensive tenacity and the stuff he does if he’s on this team you know with Macau Bridges OG anobi and a Mitchell Robinson out there lurking you’re gonna see Deuce like a bandit on defense because y’all forget Duce has changed his game because he’s had to as far as he’s had to focus on offense but when Duce used to just focus on defense he was getting steals he was picking people’s pockets he was doing all types of stuff I think you’re going to see a little bit more of that I think the Knicks are going to try to be special on defense that’s my opinion you know I think they’re gonna obviously they need to worry about offense but you know that it’s going to have to come but on defense I think the Knicks are actually going to try to make a statement on the defensive end I think they’re gonna I think those guys are GNA go into practice and say guys what if we try to become the best defensive team there’s ever had there’s ever been in the NBA I think the Knicks are going to try to do stuff like that that’s how good this this team could be on defense I teams right now currently how the NBA is situated not not not just best team but also how the NBA is situated because right now the NBA is going to a more physical game you know and now the Nicks have physical players they literally can they’re going they’re going to be some really wiped out we’re gonna see some games where they’re just absolutely just going to wipe out teams you know because of their physical play and they have they on that level already so I trust what management is doing I am not want to say we need a Kesler kler might be good but first let’s see what we have because I like Sims you know I like what SIM can bring yeah last year he looks like a a a chicken in in in in in front of dear lights but if man is what the trust is play then I am willing to CH this play because I know they know what they’re doing they have proven that over and over again yeah and this year again you know we all can sit here and just marvel at the Brilliance you know I mean check what we have they have they have um one of the best starting five and they and they butress that with one of the best bench and they have and they brought in all their rookies so in eventually they’re not looking to make a move for the next several years because what what will happen at some point they will expect the rookies to grow up and able to to contribute so we not looking to make any moves for the next several years unless until we we run into a problem we might run into a problem at the center position at some point but we need to wait and see if that’s the case if we don’t have nobody on on our arasa that can provide what we need at Center position then therefore absolutely go out and get one but first we need to we need to find out if that’s the case right now we don’t know we’re in a we’re in a you know put in a area uh Zone which is surprising for this management team were we not certain that we have all the position U fulfilled yeah and which is rare in the in the case and you know and nickv should just marvel at the position we in this this is unprecedented when you look at it that we have probably nine guys literally each of them can St we have interchangeable status you know so that’s is unprecedent to me so I I am willing to wait and give dis punishment some Grace and say hey if they not want to fulfill the center position probably they know something we don’t know they you know why how the players are being developed and so forth so therefore I’m willing to wait man can I ask him a question Ryan yeah yeah go ahead dou go ahead n uh right on man I mean you had some hot takes especially uh that part about how they were playing because if you remember when we first got heck got OG and everybody was healthy Mitch was there Randall was there we’re blowing teams out man ex People for People forgot that but remember we still had hardenstein to back up Mitch that’s the problem if we are talking about winning a championship or going to the Eastern Conference Finals with all these teams getting stronger they’re not sitting back waiting to see if Jericho Sims is gonna be able to start at Center if Mitchell Robinson goes down because if you play the averages Mitchell is going to go down at some point and we’re going to need somebody to hold down the starting center position now you ask yourself right now be honest is there anybody in our roster right now staying put that you would trust to be our starting center for for for a long stretch of time of a long period of time yes because we’re not in panic mode that’s the issue here it’s not so we can trust somebody to play for a good several months because this is just the beginning of this season right now if we make if we we were to trade with um uh um Utah there’s absolutely no doubt in my mind Utah will take advantage of us because we it would look like we’re in Desperate mode you know if we trade right now for this guy like we need him to to win games when that’s not the case we don’t need a Kesler to win games we don’t need we don’t need we don’t need we could use we could resign um a and win just as many games we don’t need a ker what we need what we need to find out is do we need another Center that you know at some point in the season that’s going to elevate us even at a higher level you know that’s what we got have to find out first so we have to go through the motions of seeing what we have you know it’s no sense um you know um playing as a you know we’re in panic mode especially for the team we have you know we have it’s not P panic mode man is what I’m saying after four seasons I know where Jericho Sims is he ain’t a starting center in the NBA and he ain’t gonna be able to hold it down for us with championship aspirations as our starting center I seen enough of Jericho Sims to know that they’ve seen enough of Jericho Sims they haven’t because if not they wouldn’t be talking to teams like Charlotte and Utah and talking to the teams because they know that’s important they know that’s important because of Mitchell Robinson’s just like we’re saying Mitch if we can count on Mitch playing 60 games I’ll be right I’ll be with you bro I’ll be saying yeah we good but I can’t say that and that’s a whole problem now when you comes to Kessler it’s not about getting something we don’t need Kessler would be a tremendous addition not only for now but for the future if you didn’t listen what we was talking about before this is a guy a seven-footer that in Tom tibo’s hands he’s already blocking almost three shots a game this early in his career now imagine that guy on the Knicks it’s about getting even better bro you’re talking about staying put I’m talking about getting better now and for the future and if we can get a guy like kler we’ll be lucky we would be really really lucky so now if we get kler uh what we do what are we doing with Mitch are we trading Mitch because then you have kesla and Mitch and both of them are basically pretty much the same there not really had that with Isaiah and Mitch we had the same isah Mitch no Isaiah was different he’s a different offensive guy so you can have Isaiah and Mitch but Kesler and and Mitch are pretty much the same they don’t no no no hold on one second I just want to say one thing uh real quick just to interject so we don’t stay on the same thing we could continue to talk about it but as far as having Kesler and Mitch it’s not a big deal right now because of money okay because Kesler only makes three million per year right you know it’s not so MoneyWise you can have both of these guys and still figure out what you’re going to do with them whether or not you think it’s kind of redundant in having the the type of players they are but there’s nothing wrong with having a really good defensive Center um but just keep in mind offensively even though there’s limits to Kesler he still is more offensively sound than Mitchell Robinson so it’s not the same player it’s similar players but it’s not the same but but continue NV my fault but is that a big enough upgrade that’s what I’m saying is K on offense a big big enough upgrade than Mitch you know yeah that you’re going to go to him or you going to expect him to be making a a 15 foot in a critical moment you know havenstein you you can play in those positions because he can make plays can Kesler do that those what can K replace herenstein are we certain that he’s capable of doing that yeah he’s better than hardstein he blocked three three he blocked almost three shots a game coming off the bench bro but that’s on the defensive end we look we and he can shoot the three three-point shot and he’s can take people off the dribble and he’s only in his what third year well I I will I will say this I don’t I don’t need I don’t need any backup center to give me too much I I just need a healthy body because my my point my point once again because you know I just don’t want to to get lost in in what what the Knicks are going to be doing the bottom line here is this is Mitchell Robinson’s job okay he lost it because he was hurt for 50 games and his brother hartenstein took it took it away from him Haren Stein’s not here this goes back to being Mitchell Robinson’s job he is the number one so anybody they bring in unless it’s a super you know upgrade is not replacing Mitchell Robinson he is the starting center all we talking about is a backup no matter who who it is most likely that they’re viewing whether it be Walker Kessler or Nick Richards could one of them if we brought one of them in eventually take the job yeah but it’s Mitchell’s job to lose right it’s his Robinson’s job to lose so you’re talking about a backup and as a backup to to what uh you know double A was saying for a guy to play um uh whatever uh to give you in 23 minutes of play eight points seven and a half rebounds two and a half blocks and shoot 60% from the free throw line no don’t get me wrong I don’t think 60% from the free throw line is good but it’s serviceable it’s passable for a center especially when your other Center that we are talking about Mitchell Robinson shoots 38% that is a huge upgrade that means leis he can knock down some free throws and give us some point opportunities um but I wanted to bring this up before I get over to Sam because Sam hasn’t had a chance to speak uh let me just bring this up real quick because I saw the chat guys were saying some stuff and I was curious curious about it myself because I’m I’m like what what is going on with this someone in the chat had said um let me read know who knows maybe what David Zenon is doing with uh Jericho Sims by the time Jericho comes back to practice with the Knicks tibs is like oh okay I like this maybe now I can start working with you who knows yeah I don’t know we’ll see sometimes it takes a different voice like sometimes you know to get through to some of these young kids I’ve already told you tibs is a great uh person who understands how to get the best out of players especially big men but he doesn’t know how to get the best out of every player especially young players sometimes stuff gets Lost in Translation so maybe okay all right um so this is what I wanted to say guys because like I said somebody in the chat had said man we’re talking about this walker kesla guy why does Utah want to get rid of him if he’s this good and he can help a team you know well he is going to be due for a Payday and remember Utah is still on the rebuild they’re not necessarily ready to contend and they’re still trying to build their team Danny a has a blueprint that he’s stuck to with Boston that’s why Boston has the players that they have and sometimes it takes time and maybe he feels like Walker Kesler is not where he wants him to be as far as his progression and he’s going to be dued for big money and he doesn’t want to pay that money to anybody yet until he gets the players that he really wants so we’ll see but here’s here’s what I wanted to read to you guys just so y’all know what was said excuse me uh where is this okay so this is from inside Jazz right the Utah publication they were talking to Tim McMahon who is a ESPN NBA Insider and his this was his take on Walker Kessler because nobody’s perfect guys I mean do I still think he’d be great here yes but I just want to throw this out there so y’all know McMahon said with regards to Walker Kesler he hasn’t taken the step that you’d hope after really re a really really good rookie year I would still buy Walker kester’s stock in terms of him being a high quality Center in the NBA um but he goes on to say you cannot be a non shooting seven-footer in today’s NBA and a poor screener and be a factor on a good team he has to master the Art and Science of screening that should be the primary focus this off season um hold on uh there’s certainly a lot that Kesler does well on the court but helping his teammates out in the offensive half court sets haven’t been one of them tesler averages 2.2 screen assists per game so that setting screens and assists being developed off of those those those you know screens that he sets and generates only 5.2 points per game off of those screens that he sets right to put it in perspective Rudy goar is second in the league at 11.7 points um generated off of 4.9 screen assist I mean he’s one of the best at it so just gives you an idea but I don’t I don’t go too crazy with the gold bear he’s a bump he’s good but he’s a bump tell us what you really think Ron he’s a bum uh anyway he also said Kesler also doesn’t space the floor has trouble knocking down any shot outside of five feet and is a poor free throw shooter these were the problems that contributed to Kesler being removed from the starting lineup everybody’s got issues and there’s there there’s his issu so we we know what you’re getting and what you would get into and the reason why Utah is okay with moving him two those reasons those reasons right there and also the money because Kesler is you know working off that rookie contract from Mitch this this is my point he’s not a big upgrade from Mitch and we don’t need to panic you know we can wait and see Let the Season play out and see where we at at the at me at the D at um at the midpoint of the season and then if we need to make a TR then we do it but right now I’m not all you do all we we doing would be looking we desperate straight and we we’ll pay a premium price for a player that we shouldn’t be playing a premium price for right uh you know Denny ases is not going to give us kesla for free it’s just not the case we know that you’re right I I agree with you on that I but but I do want to say that everything has a caveat I want to get to Sam to get his thoughts on this stuff but everything has a caveat you know Walker Kesler all of that may be true and that’s everything that that that that they just that this guy just mentioned all may be true but Walker Kesler is also playing on the Utah Jazz which is a bad basketball team you know things become a lot Things become a lot easier when you got better players around you right the other thing that happens when you got better players around you your confidence goes up too you’re getting better by playing with them and practicing with them and some of the stuff that you have to do that he has to do over there that heavy lifted in Utah he ain’t gotta do it over here we got a lot more going on so I just think the Knicks are in such a good position right now that anybody that we bring in that has some defensive ability and some a little bit of a offensive skill set is going to improve that’s the one thing that we can talk about when it comes to Tom Tibido and his teams we always criticized him but the the whole thing is people used to say well if you give Tom Tibido his type of Players let’s see what he can do Tom Tibido has been getting his type of players and now everybody’s eating every single player that got a advanced role with the Knicks last year improved everybody had career Seasons that I don’t care what you say if you don’t want to give Tom Tibido credit then that’s on you you gotta give him credit this is his team and now when you’re giving him good players they’re all getting better so I just want to throw that out there but I hear you Nev and I hear you double a just think you know it’s it’s just we got to look at both sides of it there’s a reason why Utah wants to move off of him but like I said you put him in the nick system you might see something special Sam the Knicks and with Nev I’m kind of to your point to an extent you know I’m not really sold on Sims but if he could because nobody let’s be honest guys nobody really believed that Deuce would have done what he did at the end of the last season so in being optimistic there is a chance very slim chance in my opinion that Sims could have a somewhat of a deuce emergence if he does get burned but like double A said I haven’t really seen it so until we see something we can only go off of what we’ve seen recently from Sims which is that as uh double A Nev you’ve even pointed out he he plays basketball like it just really speeds him up like he when he’s out there on the court is completely different from the film that an’s talking about where he’s shooting the jump shots everything seems rush for Sims and it’s hard for him to really stay under control but to the same point that Nev made um I’m interested to see what uh Huck pory does the rookie that we’ve got I know some guys are high on him so I mean we will see summer league will show us just like how it showed us with Mitchell Robinson nobody was really sold on Mitchell Robinson until they saw his summer league film so we can’t cut the guy out just because you know he’s a second round pick we don’t know much about him so you never know that would I mean bold in Nick’s favor obviously because we don’t want to go out there and spend money because I’m looking in scoundrel while you guys were talking just the market there is like nobody out there that’s like a significance that would really you know help us out as far as being a solidifying backup center I mean the guys available I think the only name I saw that I recognized was Jer s who just got uh didn’t get picked up back from the heat outside of that those guys are you know their Journeymen that we couldn’t really even name so for me I don’t know I think that it’s interesting to see but I even said when we first picked up precious he’s not a center because you know I’m a Memphis guy you know watch him in college he is too small for the center position especially in the NBA he is a four at heart the issue with auua is that he cannot shoot as well which is why he ends up getting slid into that backup five roll it’s because he’s not much of a shooter can’t really shoot the jump jump ball as much so I think the Knicks bring precious back some somewhat of a HomeTown discount but I’m interested to see what they do because in my eyes I’m just going to let the dawn work because we don’t know I mean he’s pulled off all these other things he could get another Center but I’ll leave with this my final thing is that I think if we are going to trade for a center we do need to do it in the first half of the season I don’t think we need to wait because to your point on once we wait until let’s say you know right before Allstar break things of that nature that’s when the price goes up because guys are going to know that the Knicks are in the market for a center and once they know that obviously guys like Danny a already going to want to fleece us might want to make it one or two first so I mean you could see from around the league guys even dudes in my opinion and people put it in the chat who I believe are also watch for watching it in person this year the Bucks won a first round pick for Brook Lopez Brook Lopez is not worth a first round pick anymore he is washed but as you see that’s the market now like teams won a first round pick for Brook Lopez I don’t want to see the price for wa prestler he’s 22 years old I don’t necessarily think I want to see that price I mean I’m going to have faith in the dawn but I don’t know who’s really out there I know people have said uh Nick Richards I’m okay with that move but I mean I don’t know like if they’re really willing to make that trade I mean it would be a cheap deal but he’s another guy that you talked about he’s gonna be up for a Payday as well I’m pretty sure Richards is coming up on that uh you know that time for him to get a new contract so I mean it’s just all given what you get but I’m interested to see what hpy does in the summer league and these other guys on the summer league roster I think we’ve got a you know this is a time of which I haven’t been this excited to watch the summer league for multiple players on the Knicks in a very long doesn’t make any sense you don’t pay that much for a backup center you can’t do that and we don’t have the money anyway we could we couldn’t if if our life depended on if they said listen guys the whole Nick team is going to be dissolved if we can’t get Brook Lopez then guess what no more Knicks because we couldn’t even afford to give iHeart more than between 16 and 18 million per season we can’t afford to take on 23 million from Brook Lopez it’s just it’s impossible just it doesn’t is in no way so unfortunately that there because I even saw it when I saw because you know listen I know who Brook Lopez is I know older whatever but I also know how he shut us down at some points throughout the season I know how he can stretch the floor a little bit so it’s not a horrible thing if I when Paul George thought about coming to the Knicks and we were serious about getting him last year but then he wanted a two-year extension and we said xay on the Paul George that’s that’s the same a lot of money invested in our bench and just to enhance that too I mean you got to think even uh you know teams in our recent past right so the Warriors they were willing to be in that luxury tax they’re constantly winning chips or being in the running I think they’re willing to suffer that burden because of the you know the roster that they have and the you know the winning uh mentality at that team cool I gotta say I don’t like the contract do SMI br’s on I think that’s a mistake by the Nicks and it might come back to hunt them later on what yeah because you his contract do his contract is very going to be similar to what um H what happened to habenstein the Nicks made a mistake in habenstein they should have paid him around 10 million a year because if you pay him around 10 million a year would have been making around 20 something million this year but they paid him 8 million a year which locked them in paying him only they can only pay him 6 million a year those contract is going to be similar you only can raise a contract by a certain amount of portion so those contract when it comes up due he only can get a certain portion of of of his sorry you know you understand what I’m saying so that’s going to lock the Nick cannot pay Duce a certain price so he might the same thing might happen to D that happened to honstein wow that’s that’s that’s facts now that’s interesting because uh another Point uh that was made you know Jaylen Brunson and in fact made this point he said you know it’s a shame that teams like the Knicks the Knicks took a player like hardenstein hardenstein before he signed with the Knicks was on the verge of begging to take a pay cut to go back to the Clippers yet this brother comes to the nexts and signs a two-year deal and now he’s got Max money you know what I mean and what it is is man you know why penalize a team that takes a player like at the Knicks they take a player and they develop him to to that point because the knck developed him and gave him that opportunity and to not be able to M to match any money for him I think it’s it’s crime you know and it’s like penalizing the Knicks for for developing this guy you know when nobody else took a chance on him you know the Thunder didn’t take a chance on him the Thunder could have signed him when you know he was in with the Clippers when he signed with us he was a but the only push back that I would have on that is that like you mentioned uh hardenstein came on a two-year contract right so the difference for me between him and Deuce is that Deuce has been with the team for three years so like somebody else just put in the chat we have his full bird rights meaning that the Knicks could resign him for more money than the salary cap would allow us to so so I do understand your point in that um you know they it could you know hurt us in the long run as far as him getting more money he’s obviously going to command more money if he continues on this trend bur R for because he didn’t play for us for three years Deuce is different in that he will be here for at least three years on the team so we can go over the cap I think the Knicks will try to do that Duce really was Preston to that point but he’s not really a playmaker he’s not really a guy that can set people up or whatever this guy Tyler is that and we need to give him minutes they’re going to be very very limited minutes at the guard position because you know Jo Le Bruns is our point guard he’s going to eat up the point guard minutes okay now you got Dante who is used to starter minutes who now is going to be coming off the bench with Mel there okay we still got Josh Hart who’s going to be you know we can keep him in the forward up front court but you know the minutes are going to be very very scarce okay so I think having a guy at Kyler to eat up those minutes that are available because he fits that mold that we need and not only that you know uh he’s cheap just like McBride and now this is why I’m willing if need be to trade McBride for Kesler because now Kesler will give us something we don’t have where Deuce right now is like a luxury you know what I’m saying deu is a luxury now for us okay a luxury to have okay right now we could use a a a solid backup center and one that need be in a pinch can start right and on the cheap and this is why I’m saying this why I’m pushing for Kesler because let me tell you something if he doesn’t even get better he can still give us what he needs with what he’s doing now with almost ravaging three blocks per game coming off the bench in those limited minutes he may not set screens he shoots 60% from the line but like we said mid shoots 30 okay so that’s an upgrade and and you know our second unit with with Hart and D venzo ain’t GNA be too many screens bro they’re gonna be pushing the ball and stuff and one thing I saw about Kesler he can get up and down the court too so this was my whole point you know what I’m saying is that uh if we’re gonna go for it let’s go for it uh I want to make one slight Point actually I do see we going to a minutes for the young players because like I said we have nine guys that we going to be a very physical team their knights we just going to blow our teams flat out below our teams where they probably not going to reach 70 points so the young players are going to play a lot of garbage time yeah yeah it’s might not be it might not be um you know in a in a critical game they might not be be playing in a critical game but when the garbage time comes if this coach is willing to trust more than the nine players our young players will play if he doesn’t then you know what they’re going to sit the bench you talking about tips bro the guy that plays guys with a 20o lead with two minutes left yeah I don’t know I don’t know if you guys realize that [ __ ] we were up by 30 points in game I think it’s game five or six and Bron still played 43 minutes what listen T tip tips ain’t last season so I feel as though tibs might be more willing to and I see him giving I Envision him giving uh Brunson a blow with the guy like kic in spot minutes so we don’t see Brunson playing 30 minutes a game I feel like depending on what colic shows in the summer league um I think he’s very good as far as a facilitator and being able to playmake so he might be able to spell a little bit of that Brunson uh minutes so we’re going to have a more um productive version because we saw Brunson just got uh just tired guys he got ran into the ground because he was pretty much carrying the team by himself so I think you could go on a committee of saying you know a guy like kic McCulla or even h40 you could see them each filling into that uh 10th Man depending on like you just said uh NE the game situation I mean it just depends on who we’re playing I could see it happening so I could see any three of those guys getting in the game more so than I can see dayquan Jeff I forget the other definitely do it but he’s gonna give it I do think tibs is willing to give it a shot with these guys I think he doesn’t want to play Brunson too many minutes I do think Brunson is going to live somewhere around the 32 minute range because 48 minute game that leaves 16 minutes for a backup or however you want to use it I do think that you could run into a little bit of issue trying to get all these bigs involved and we’ve got a lot of players that are smaller than that that that need minutes like deuce and stuff so I could see to Carlos’s point this is where I do think that that tibs will experiment with the small ball lineup that’ll allow minutes for Deuce that’ll allow minutes for Josh Hart they might put Josh at the four here and there they might try some clever things at the center position just to get guys a little bit of burn out there so they can have some minutes I I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw it okay the only the only thing they have to do to support that Ry the only thing he really has to do is move when he takes Randle out move o slide OG to the power forward and now you got an opening for for for heart or you got a you know you got an opening for you know Bridges can move from the two to the three you know the good thing about it it’s a lot of interchangeable parts yeah yeah there’s a lot of interchangeable parts right and so that and even then you know even if they don’t want to do necessarily Randall at the five you know I don’t like it because I know that the you know the point he gets cooked there but precious could play the five see it I just see him wanting no no I’m saying precious could play the five precious could but we’re only talking about when we’re doing small ball lineups not when we’re playing a team that we know we need 68 centers man precious a 68 Rando 68 we can’t beat we can’t beat C teams that got the the the length and the size especially in the playoffs we can’t depend on that and Mitch is not gonna be healthy come playoff time’s at least not gonna be 100% so we have to find a replacement backup so logically it would have to be either Kessler or Nick Richards Kesler considering that he’s played for Utah and Danny a and all that he probably gonna command too much because Danny an he’s crazy with the well you know what I’m saying he’s crazy with that stuff so more logically more realistically probably Nick Richards is probably a more realistic option he averaged 10 points eight rebounds one block shoot 74% from the uh from the free throw line just yo pull up his highlights the man has a hook shot he has a he has a fade he has a floater he’s a perfect replacement for for hearten sign you know what I’m saying especially under TI under tib he would Excel under the tibs he probably get better look look look what tibs did for nerland Noel a journey man look how he made nerland Noel look you know what I’m saying so imagine what he could do for Nick Richards who’s seven feet tall 74 wingspan and if he would just be he would just Excel under tips come on so so I think Nick Richards he’s probably the more logical realistic option for us as a backup five no more six eight centers that’s not going to eventually in two years he might build into something but for for right now at the moment we can’t depend on nobody from the Australian League coming from the second round to be our back of sener we Julius Randle ain’t getting burnt out and we need which I would go with Sims to pick up for Mitch just so Mitch could rest 15 20 minutes a game that’s how we keep guys healthy the thing I’m just not sure why no one’s talking about that like we all watched the same season last year tis don’t listen to us bro we all watch the same we’ve been saying that for a long time Tim’s on listen you hit it right on the head we just we just podcasting and I’ve heard that so many times bro no cap neither like people say that and and you’re right you’re right I said not to cut you but I said like to build a championship Contender throughout the regular season you got to play people so they be prepared when they get in the playoffs but how ironically the bench players turned into most of the bench players turned into the starters on our team so automatically those guys who got minutes that they wouldn’t normally get is going to be better than the average bench players even the players that’s going to the bench like um de Dinko may go to the bench certain players that got started minutes and now come off the bench and that’s G to make our bench better the Brunson take though is is definitely on point because Brunson play a lot of minutes and we somebody that could rest him so he could play a full season healthy that’s the main point that he’s making and that is a great conversation but we always talk about it and tip’s gonna play Brunson the same way no matter what we think and that’s why we’re gonna end up with the same disappointing season next year if if someone doesn’t tell him listen guy we have these players so you don’t burn every player we see what he did to D Rose right we all forget about what he did to D Rose R he’s the reason D Rose got all those injuries burning him down be fair I’m sorry go ahead PW the point I made about the other players that’s start that got started minutes coming off the bench now that’ll make up for the difference if you ask me and due to injuries Just Happening sometime that work out in your favor when coaches are like that and that’s exactly what we dealt with so hopefully now he notice through not playing guys he was forced to play guys so when you a coach and that happens and you go into a new season you don’t want to be like that and look at Players like McBride look at all the players that went through it that had to get minutes they all improved so you talking only 15 minutes I think I’m not saying Duce is guaranteed to do that but the other guys that are going to the bench is going to pick up they’re going to be better than the other positions so the point guard position don’t have to be that much of a scoring like Brunson so just to make a point to your point that that’s not something that Nick fans or Nick should worry about because I never really stressed that oh TI’s running somebody in the ground a lot of people don’t really even though like I said I agree with you but it’s not a lot of minutes Brunson is gonna be off the court so if somebody can come in and just hold it down don’t turn the ball over make good plays and the other guys who used to start a minutes coming off the bench could pick up the slack you don’t need somebody to come in Off the Bench and do what Brunson can do anyway you just need to give Brunson a rest so the lead don’t go away so that the the starters could come in with the same type of lead and I think the point I’m making we should be fine because of those other players could pick up the slack because no bench player is g to be better than those players we should have the best bench again yeah hardw let me ask you a question fellas do you see our second Union with uh Devan chenzo and Hart now solidifying the bench and and being those in that role that they’re G to be playing fast Up Tempo I think and that way it also nullifies the need for you know somebody to really control the ball you know uh that’s why I figured dece you know dece would be perfect for that role as well but I’m on the feeling that they they’re G to want to give that uh draft pick from Marquette some run to see what he can do you know just in case you know to have that ball handler in there just in case but the way the second Union like I said my question the way I see the second unit playing with d venzo and Hart I just see them running and running and running yeah you might be right yeah Co Coen gonna have to wait Coy gonna have to wait because McBride had to wait and McBride showed up in the playoffs so that means he could he could cover for Brunson on those minutes that American that the guy just spoke of but what you just said is key think about that heart and DD coming off the bench so now you got two guys that starters in that lineup that is going to make make one of the best benches in the NBA will whoever else come off the bench so with that being said like I don’t I don’t see a problem really we do need to get a big that can make space I don’t think we need another big like Mitch to just clog the paint so whoever it is need somebody that can make space to keep the paint open if you gonna have two bigs that’s just gonna keep clogging the paint if they can’t go outside like Mitch can’t too much hartstein was good at passing from high post from the foul line we need somebody more like that that could keep the paint open for Bron and other guys that drive and kick but when it came time for hste to defend in the playoffs he was getting chewed up by embiid but we expect that embiid is an allar we don’t expect him to shut embiid down that’s how the game go you gonna have some players that kill certain positions and then some our players have killed other positions that’s just how the game go you ain’t going to have five three three All Stars on your team every year that’s rare yeah I understand that but I mean like a guy like hin I like haunstein but when it come time to defend and block shots and all of that yeah I just didn’t see it I say good player bro he just got 80 million bro so it don’t really matter what we think the NBA P yeah I mean I mean I mean listen Ben Simmons still getting paid so that that don’t really mean much you know what I mean so like thing though bro Ben Simmons re tired Ben Simmons getting his money from past obligation hardenstein got 80 million for future what he just did Ben Simmons not getting a contract going into the future so that’s not a good example Ben Simmons is getting money from his past obligation when they thought he was gonna be good that’s a good thing for the NBA at least guys’s money is guaranteed even though I don’t respect how Ben Simmons is but IA and him is a different situation they paying him for the future and then they put him on a team that contended in the West so obviously they they see and OKC only picking good players so obviously they see a lot in him and you can’t expect a whole bunch from a player who’s really not an Allstar in hindsight so that was just my opinion on your take on him that’s not a fair take but that’s my take the I wasn’t Downing honstein you know I mean like you like I’m not Downing him but when it come time for those crunch minutes like that where we need to get stops and all of that honstein is not a threat like let’s be real he’s he’s not a threat to nobody when you need to stop a big man but I I disagree with that take completely there are in in in the league there are players that’s going to dominate other players for whatever reason you know exactly that that’s that’s just the league you know because hasenstein cannot play well against embiid we tend to always ring that up but how about other players he play very well against or he dominate against because that’s the league years versus the Knicks could have only offered him like what 16 18 mil a season so he was gone regardless now back on topic for me I still think that you know I give mitches Flyers as much as as the next guy but for me I think that um as much as we give iHeart Flack just like Nev was saying that we were we were cooked regardless of who was out there in my opinion I mean Mitch’s holding it down in the paint but we’ve seen just like out of the regular season we cannot guard stretch bigs that is an issue for either Center that we have on the court whether it’s Mitch Robinson or Isaiah hardenstein so yes Mitch has his moments but I still think there is a need for a guy who can guard these stretch bigs iHeart was not doing a good job with that we’ve seen Joker what he does to us but like to Nev’s Point these guys are Elite centers so it’s going to be hard for them to look good against a guy who’s so Elite offensively I think that um you know just as much Flack that we give ihart and he did look bad a middly so in the playoff series back to back but I I don’t see either one of our centers really you know that we’re doing good at Garden stretch bigs that’s why if you look at Tesla’s highlights uh Sam that’s why I was high on him because if you look at his highlights they show highlights of him guarding Bigs like he guarded cat cat was posted on the outside for a three-point shot jigged him got the move on him and got to step on him but kessle was not only did he recover off the play but he blocked the shot as well and he constantly did that they showed him do that multiple times he can guard the perimeter and still has quick enough feet to get back to the rim my whole thing with Kesler is man you put a a young boy like that in Tom tibo’s hands and you got gold for the foreseeable future for two million in the season this is what this boy is making for the next two years so for the next three years okay you Mil you can go with Mitch okay but what I’m saying you got a backup bro we need a solid backup we have Championship aspirations we want to knock off the Boston uh Celtics don’t sell me on Jericho Sims as our backup center I think I think both Kesler and Nick NB and we talking about players who did things that these some of these players would never do so it’s like when you go from that to that is like why we even it don’t make sense like you feel me like who never even gonna be an allar what are we doing that’s what n was saying too like don’t like even and I think the confusion is coming in that we think in the sentence but we not remembering how much money we got for this position you feel me so they looking at players who aren’t going to be on the level of EMB and we when I biged up hardenstein and even Mitch these are players who not getting paid like that and did decent in the road that’s what the comp that’s what the breakdown is we’re not comparing them to players on that level because everybody up here and in the chat know who players are and what levels players are on so when you know that how can you expect a player that’s not on a level even if you have a good game against him to win a series against him or to shut him down in the series is crazy herbody said it the man has 60 in the playoffs on the Knicks yeah so that’s just how you gotta look at it always remember who players are just because they not on your team line 30 6.8 for Mitch yuck everybody throw up get the bag it’s all nasty I get it 81% from the free throw line for iHeart 10 rebounds for Mitch 10 rebounds for iHeart 2.9 assists for iHeart s for for Mitch 1.3 blocks for Mitch the defensive star that he is 1.5 blocks for iHeart 1.5 steals I told you how how much improved Mitch was during that time how he was getting steals 1.5 then I look at ihart 1.4 6 game 6.9 for iHeart this is what I’m trying to say you threw iHeart in the starting lineup he was getting busy people forget and this was just I’m sorry I don’t have a bigger window this is at the time when I had did the show at that time I had only had eight games of this if I would have went back and did it again who knows what the numbers would have been but I’m just trying to tell y’all y’all people think that ihart wasn’t getting busy ihart was getting busy he was doing just what Mitch was doing if not more yeah yeah all was he started slow and once he got it in he was good to cut the weight and get closer to three years ago Mitch I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing personally I think when he came when he decided to get bigger and put on that extra weight obviously he knew he was moving like molasses he was slow as hell he couldn’t move around he cut some of that weight and then got to a serviceable spot and I think that the way he was this past year was good because it helped them deal with a guy like embiid embi couldn’t really push him around however if Mitch and the trainers see this is the thing guys we talk about stuff from a different point of view but remember we got a new training staff well we’ve got a new director of training right to to help us be a little bit more healthy if they feel like Mitch’s extra weight that he put on is not good for his tnder ankles he got them them baby face tnder lover ankles if they feel like he’s he needs to cut some of that maybe that’s part of it all right but he says he wants to get back to the way he was his playing a couple years ago now that Mitch was fast he was quick he was all over the place he was a demon that Mitch still got hurt but maybe that Mitch will be able to play more because he he did play more games back then so we got to see what happens with Mitch but that’s that’s what they’re working on so we we’ll see guys I don’t know but shout out to you Pete appreciate you uh for lot of minutes that was the reason why we needed to pull off a trade then when we pulled up trade tibs decided to go with Jaylen Brunson and Julius Randall both being featured in the offense he was playing solely off of those two guys prior to us getting OG and then playing with OG and those minutes were starting to come down but Julius only played 46 games and so you couldn’t see the difference in the minutes okay I’m just telling you he was not gonna stay playing 35 minutes for the whole season so don’t look at this number this is not a fair a fair representation right okay now if you look a little lower in 50 games you see that OG anobi played um 34 minutes per right all of those minutes um are are you know a symptom of Julius Randall going down and the Knicks having no other option they had to play OG the amount of time they had to play him okay but notice that you look this is one two three I’m not counting Randall but I’m counting him for the sake of a body right one two 3 4 five 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 bear with me 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 Oh 28 29 30 31 32 33 30 I can keep going but we’re talking about up to 34 people right and you know the players that that everybody thought Tibido ran into the ground Josh Hart Dante Devan chenzo Jaylen Brunson you notice you don’t see their names here right and none of all of these players are ahead of those guys I’ve already scrolled down to the bottom which is RJ Barrett and there’s no Jaylen Brunson no Dante dant chenzo no Josh Hart so when it comes back to The Narrative of tibs running these players into the this is the regular season this is what they played so I’m just throwing that out there again I just want y’all to understand the narrative when you say that tibs is running these guys into the ground the three main people Brunson divon shenzo and Hart who played Crazy minutes later in the season still not in this list of the top minutes played in in the league I just want to throw that out there just he just won’t get you he just won’t get you on on spot here wait and it’s a calculated hit it’s a yeah he was waiting on that one yeah he’s smoing out he calmed everything down and then he improve with the Knicks yeah he would improve with what was what was Isaiah hardstein doing before he got with the Knicks nothing a good point you can’t comp oh that’s not true that’s not true when here and your numbers aren’t reflective of it your numbers will improve over all all you can do is look at their traits and what they do good and and and maximize that under TBS because TBS would just make you better okay um but the the reverse to let me make a point one second one one second neb I got you the reverse too is if you were on a bad team and you were really good you may not be as good if you come over to the Knicks so there’s the flip side too so I just want to say’s two sides I see his I see his athleticism I see his hook shot his his um his floater I see he rebounds so he does that well so all you can do is maximize that how it would look under tips and tips would just make him better that’s all I can say I agree with that go ahead Dev all right number one we got I had most of us I’m pretty sure most of us and this span haven’t seen some of his tapes because if we have we should have been questioning why he’s not shooting freeze because he was hitting that’s how his game was early in his career he was an outside guy in not an inside guy out okay he was the opposite way he was a much better freep pointer in early in his career be the freeze it never happened here okay regarding Richards it doesn’t matter which team you’re on if you’re smart player you make smart decisions you don’t make dumb decisions Nick Richards makes dumb decisions and that’s one reason I don’t understand that it’s it’s it’s not it it sometimes it’s on the player but sometimes it’s top to the top to bottom you know sometimes it’s the coaching staff too it sometimes it’s giving the attention uh and showing young players what they need to do um and and and teaching them the way they need to learn it you can teach two different people the same thing and they not they not get it the same way you know you got to understand how to get through to certain players and maybe Nick case being over there in Charlotte a bad team which a really dysfunctional organization a lot going on over there you know maybe that affects his his his because one more thing I don’t I’m trying to say this and get it quick so we can get over you know of other people can speak the other thing is also what your team is made up of because there’s certain things that go um that allow that that teams allow to happen or coaches allow to happen because of your personnel there’s certain stuff that the Knicks were doing when when fizdale was here that would never Rock for Tom Tibido okay he didn’t even run an offense over there he just had guys going out there and calling their own number and just okay make it happen like you can’t do that you can’t winning the NBA playing that type of basketball and Ron so yeah sorry yeah all you can do right now is look at the traits Nick Richards has does he have an outside shot can he shoot um can he shoot away from the rim he can do that you just look pull up his highlights watch his highlights he had 74% from the from the free throw line 74% as a center from the free throw line imagine that under tibs how he could be utilized under tips don’t look at him with the Charlotte Hornets who is probably the the the 12th best team in in Eastern Conference every year right I I agree with that and I I want to get back over to Nev but I want to say that with regards to this type of stuff too another good example is um okay I got it and this is this is perfect cuz we’re so and we’re not but Nick fans think we’re so desperate they throwing all types of names out there and some of y’all should be ashamed of yourself because I was watching yesterday and the working on is completely right because a center is not going to have the ball to to the extent where he going to dribble and go for his legs and do all this fancy stuff that’s not a Cent’s game nobody’s going to allow the center to do that unless he has proven to be a embiid mitch in his head that he’s an embiid the coach is not going to allow you to do that when you get the ball you got to do quick moves either shoot the ball pass the ball or do something else but but you’re not you don’t have time to to do all the fensive stuff and Sims what Sims is working on is going to more likely help our team than what Mitch is working on you know until when Mitch gets it in his head I got to able to when I’m around the H I got to make a back butt shot I got to able to take a jump off the backboard I got take a jump a five footer a 10 footer anything that’s not a dunk because I don’t need to practice dunk I said that before a guy like Mitch Sanders do not need to practice dunks because continue to be in a better position going forward to do that and so you don’t have guys on the bench that are just sitting there collecting dust that you can’t depend on the Knicks could not go to Jacob toppen and say Jacob we need you to come in here and do this for us because Tom Tibido just wasn’t comfortable with them they see these guys in practice they know what they got and he just wasn’t ready to use him he wasn’t ready to put Charlie Brown out there consistently he had to at some point but he just didn’t see it and Charlie Brown is a is a journeyman player who’s played for other teams and he still didn’t feel comfortable using Charlie Brown just you have to have the right type of guys that you can depend on if you’re in a situation where guys get hurt and you got to go somewhere else so that’s it that’s all I want to say but then again I don’t even think any of the New York football teams would be comfortable with Charlie Brown being their place kicker that’s moments even when Randall didn’t have his shot going he was facilitating with assist he was getting rebounds and he was deferring to others on the team and we were winning games there’s a reason why we went 14-2 in January there’s also a reason why Randall had I think six or eight points against Philadelphia and we beat them by 30 something points but Ron Ron you just said without Randle and just Brunson we would have took the Boston to six seven games then you said with even with Randle we probably would have took him still to six to seven games so what is but we were talk no but we were talking about I thought you said if everybody else was healthy without but but but think I said if we just had OG healthy alongside who’s giving you 40 point would no no no no if we had just OG healthy then maybe Boston we maybe we could have got them to six games maybe but not six or seven I thought you meant with Mitch with Mitch as well we could have Push I talking about Mitch I’m not that when we did see because we don’t have a big sample size we got a small sample size how does how does Julius Randall look without Jaylen Brunson I mean you know not too good because Jaylen Brunson is a big factor on this team all right so then you say how does Julius Randall and Jaylen Brunson look together well when they decided to trade RJ Barrett and and uh Emanuel quickley and the ball was being run through Julius Randall and Brunson just those two guys we were winning right and then when you started to incorporate OG and precious into the mix we didn’t stop winning we ran through January so I don’t know how you people can say not I don’t I don’t mean you people I mean how can people say that this doesn’t work because the one time we got to see it all together it was working great we were the best team in the NBA hey guys guys so that’s what I’m saying I love I love Randle I want Randle to be on his team I love him he’s a great I think I think he’s a perfect fit to what we are right now with Bridges with OG with Brunson he’s a perfect fit because we got two shot crators Brunson and Randall and arrest the role players that’s a perfect fit I’m just saying the questions that he’s always had is his playoffs how he performs in the playoffs that’s a big question we Pro we Pro small simple size we prove okay okay we proved in the playoffs this past season without Randle we can go deep in the playoffs with just Brunson OG and uh Dante and Hart we prove that so Rando we prove that he’s Expendable in a way because we could win without him ah I I don’t know man I I think yeah man that that’s that’s a real hot take and I get it without so I like him I want to be on a team I’m just saying but here’s what I think I think we need to see them all together and healthy thank you for for for for two seasons to decide who needs to go and who needs to stay but they need to be healthy we have to see them be healthy and see what happen right to just say oh we could get rid of Rand because we watched them play without him I mean that’s a very Nicks thing to do it you know if you’ve been around Nicks groups you know how it go but now also we got Bridges also so we added Bridges you know what I’m saying so that’s more offensive power right right but but but here’s the thing Bridges Is Not Gonna Fill A spot lost by Randall I’m sorry that’s not going to happen he’ll fill a different spot but he’s not going to fill a a a a spot that would be lost by Randle I think we need to relax and just watch them play a good season or two with everyone healthy and then assess who needs to be traded and who needs to stay but it’s unfair to just jump out the window now and say we gotta get rid of Julius R because playoff yeah I’m not saying that I’m just saying we gota like weigh all options weigh all options like and plus is he gonna sign an extension next year is he well listen let me tell you let me tell you Ree think this this this the conversation is is valid in the form of just all about like what can we afford to do as a franchise organization going forward the New York Knicks are obviously going to do their due diligence we’ve seen this that what that’s what they do so it’s not about what we say they’re gonna do it on their own anyway this is the last year of Julius randle’s current deal okay uh uh after this I’m sorry what’ you say Mets at this point for no the narative is for him it’s Do or Die either right performing both the regular season or the post and the postseason provide the team actually gets into the ladder this time around or you could just basically take your money and walk uh I would say that is correct there if there was ever so if there was ever a situation where you might lose a player for nothing Julius Randle is the perfect example of that guys and and we can’t be mad at it we essentially lost hardenstein for the same reason in this year’s free agency CL group right but it’s worse with Julius Randall because you know he’s an All-Star player um and it sucks to have to possibly lose him for nothing and I say that this is a big big big situation because we’ve already we’ve already you know witnessed what’s happened with Julius Reynold as far as getting injured this is what this is how I think it plays out guys this is what I think the Knicks pay attention to I said this in a previous show Julius renle coming back from the shoulder injury the shoulder injury is very delicated I mean delicate you can reinjure it easily right hopefully he does not hopefully he has good proper training he goes through the proper motions and tests it and it’s fine but if he gets out the gate slow which I think he will but he doesn’t really find himself the way he found himself earlier this year right and if the chemistry looks off with Macau and OG and Brunson then the Knicks are going to trade Julius Randall at the tra deadline no but that’s what I’m saying that they will that it’s it’s it’s just that’s how a business works and it’s obvious with this Nick team they know every the writing’s on the wall if it doesn’t look good with Julius and it’s a couple months of this they are gonna trade him at the trade deadline mock or even before marck my words but if Julius Randall plays well right and has another good regular season like he’s done in the past and we get to the playoffs and Julius Randall is hurt and can’t play in the playoffs then Nick fans it’s byebye Julius Randall okay you already know Julius Randall will not be returning to the New York Knicks this is his season for that in the last year he played hurt okay with Miami you could talk about the whole thing oh you know Julius hasn’t you know he hasn’t shown up you can’t you have you have to look at everything if we’re going to be smart basketball fans really pay attention to hold on Mets hold on Mets hold on Mets if we’re going to be smart basketball fans and really paying attention to our team we gotta say Julius Randle looked really bad against Atlanta a couple years back but there was no protection he had nobody he couldn’t depend on RJ Barrett these guys he had no protection so they swarmed him triple double teamed him he he played horribly okay he didn’t know what to do all right he I think he learned from that however against Miami last year and you know he got hurt whatever he was playing hurt and then Miami he did put up some good games but he played hurt throughout the whole series and then he needed surgery once again you got to throw him a bone this year is the last year of this guys if Julius has another great regular season becomes an a I don’t care he could be first team all NBA if he doesn’t play in the in the playoffs if he’s heard again he will not be returning to the New York Knicks mark my words that’s all I’m saying well so Ron here’s another thing though right so do we expect hold on hold on U my brother let let let Mets get his off because he go ahead Mets just say what you got to say my brother my point exactly do or die Randall has to keep himself healthy at any and all costs and play well at the same time which is hard to do in this Association whether you play well injured or healthy whether you play poor injured or healthy it’s an inevitability that sooner or later you’re gonna get banged up chip damage piles up over time until it’s game over that’s fair that’s a good point that’s a good point Mets um you can go ahead my brother I saw to cut you but I didn’t want to say that what I said that’s there’s nothing wrong with that I’ve already said three weeks ago and now it’s gonna become my narrative for the rest of the season Julius Randall is one of the best players in the NBA okay I’m not saying I want to get rid of Julius Randall if if anything I’m telling everybody that you are looking at Julius Randle in the wrong way he has so much ability and can do so many things offensively and defensively defensively it’s only about effort with him if he gives you the effort you will see he’s a very good Defender he is one of the best players in the NBA that being said if he doesn’t get off to a good start if the chemistry doesn’t look like it’s there if we’re not jelling I think they will move him at the trade deadline line because they’re not going to pay this guy Max money if he doesn’t fit two if or worse if he plays the whole regular season and then still can’t play in the playoffs because he’s hurt again they will not resign him all right that being said go ahead my brother I’m sorry okay so the question I ask is this about Julius now how much of H how much of this depends on him coming off an injury and not being played 47.5 minutes well all all all that has to happen is they have to do exactly what they did this year with Julius Randall if you guys remember Julius Randall had a horrible start to the season he looked lost he didn’t look comfortable his shot wasn’t falling and then by the time he got hurt and missed the rest of the season he was an Allstar so it’s the same thing they just got to work with him give him his time let him work through it he’s going to struggle at first just like he struggled at first because he was recovering from an ankle injury this year give him his time get right and we’ll see where it goes you gotta you got to give him his time he deserves that any player deserves it if it was Jaylen Brunson everybody like oh well you got to give him his time is shouldn’t change for Julius he he you should expect him to start off slow no no I agree what I’m the question I’m asking is this again right H how much is this how much of all of this is dependent on him playing a reasonable 30 minutes coming off an injury right and not trying to get him to do 40 7.5 coming off an injury oh yeah yeah asking right yeah I hear you I oh I see what you’re saying I don’t think listen I uh the first off tibs is gonna and the front the organization is gonna put um Julius Randle on a minute restriction to start the season believe me he’s not going to be playing crazy minutes to start the season unless he’s healthy and it looks like he’s he’s good but it they’re gonna work with him and bring him along slowly now are you saying that even if he gets better do you think they’re going to put him back to the whole minutes that he was playing I don’t think so I think the Knicks have enough players around that they won’t have to do that I already said this all is about how the players look together out there in the court if the Knicks start the preseason and the regular season playing good with nine or 10 guys and we are playing good defense and we are having a free flowing offense and we look good tibs is going to keep it going it’s only when it doesn’t look like it’s working that tibs is going to go back to what he’s used to he is going to try it out early in the season but the problem with that is H here’s what I notic about tibs one two bad games and you’re benched Into Obscurity right sometimes you got to let guys play through it because you’re gonna let Jaylen Brunson play through it for the most part you’re gonna let Julius Randall play through it you’re gonna let OG play through it you’re gonna let these guys play through it for 48 minutes but as soon as as soon as one of the bench guys have one or two bad games up up you gotta get them up out of here never to be seen again and that’s how you end up with injured starters at the end of the season fair fair not not allowing a guy or two to play through it and say you know what he’s been productive most of the time he had a little fumble just keep keep the rotation going and let them play through it let them all figure it out there has to be some levels of that that’s fair that’s fair and I what what I what that’s always been one of my biggest knocks against the Tin Man yes you have said that Mets that is true but what I will say yeah what’s up NE I want to disagree with your point on Julius okay well hold on hold on before you do that let me just say this real quick and I’ll let you go okay I do want to say to to American man’s point the difference here which is great for us as Nick fans and great for the organization is that now right because last last playoff time you saw the Knicks were really limited right we had nothing going on Nick he had to play six seven guys eight guys maybe but seven guys a just put you in that dogghouse let’s look at the difference here Brunson you know got tibs likes to play a ninan rotation he if he could play eight but he likes to play nine Jaylen Brunson maau Bridges OG anobi Julius Randall Mitchell Robinson Dante Devan chenzo Josh Hart Duce McBride that’s eight right and depending on who they go with you know if precious is officially back it’s possibly precious or it could be some other person right but those are if it’s precious you already know tibs has seen precious out there that’s nine guys right there these are nine guys that you can depend on I haven’t gotten to the rookies I haven’t gotten to anybody else all these nine guys have shown you can depend on them so it’s not like these guys are gonna mess up and is gonna put dog house this is what I’m saying you got nine guys you can depend on so I think we we’re not in that same situation where you got to worry about him going crazy with Brunson or Julius because he don’t have the the bodies he’s got the bodies now and these guys are coming back healthy and those are nine guys that you can depend on not even getting into who else might might make the 10th man if we go that route so go ahead man my fa go ahead yeah um to me Julius is a unique player on basically in the NBA he’s one of the few players that play that can play in the post and be very effective and that’s number one number two as long as tis is here I don’t see julus going anywhere I mean we can say J you know J is going to be traded all we want but as long as St this here I see them as being a like a partnership basically so I don’t think julus is going and I don’t want to see julus go anywhere because I think jul like I said he gives us a different dimension we need that you know he’s one of the he’s a accomplished player in the post we need that otherwise we going to be a like a PR the guy shooting passing trying to play a motion offense we can actually play a motion offense and and when we when we our motion offense is not working we can actually go straight to the post and try to get some bucket so that’s that’s the reason why we shouldn’t be getting rid of J at at to me for no particular reason unless we can replace that kind of player that gives us that Dimension right now I don’t see any other play any any player on this team can do that what julus does so that’s one reason or even in the league and that one reason you can draw you can get a lot of teams into foul trouble so that’s the reason I would not give up on J act for any reason whatsoever you know he I’ll make him a fixure on this te yeah I’ve said that before and even when Obi was here I said play them together because I thought julus can got just about anybody so now I don’t know I don’t see why the rush to get R of julus because like I said he gives us a he has a unique style to him that and that is very effective and we we could use that against team like you know teams like Boston you know where sometimes our because they have very good defensive gues you know but where Boston is weaker we’ve still pretty strong you know with Julius jul you know there’s not much players on on any team that can that can handle Julius so there’s absolutely no reason to get rid of Julius and that that’s the point I’m trying to make we need to keep player no I agree I agree I don’t like I said I gave you to me and I don’t I think that’s very fair what I said those are the only reasons I can see Julius Rand leaving this team because of what I said that no other reason Julius to me is not going anywhere like I know I always talk about you know well not me but other people always talk about you know it’s the name on the front of the Jersey well let me tell you something if there was anybody that was close enough to being a part of that front of the Jersey it’s Julius Randall and Jaylen Brunson has now put himself there too but like Julius is not going anywhere they they the Nicks organization respect Julius for for what he’s done the only way that I said he leaves is the scenarios I already brought up because it’s about can he fit the team going forward will he be there for us because they have to pay him a lot of money so he’s got to show that he fits that that the everything still works and that he is there for us in the playoffs because a healthy Julius Randall you guys don’t even know what to expect if we go into the playoffs with a healthy Julius Randall because you haven’t really seen it and when you did see it we weren’t a good enough team so that’s all I’m saying saying guys we have basis I think gets a little sketchy right because now what happens is what if you go let’s just say you end up going a week right and and you say oh well we could put Josh Hart in that position right and then you got to play a big team but you got what’s his name uh uh precious or Sims been on the bench right that becomes a problem that’s kind of why you need to keep some consistency on who’s backing up these positions because you want these guys to stay in rotation I don’t know maybe I’m too much with oldfashioned basketball and I don’t understand this new 2024 game right well I mean I hear you I want to get back over to Sam but I hear what you’re saying American man you are right that you do have to have a level of consistency for these players to play well for you because if they’re if they’re not used you know they’re going to be cold or they’re not going to be as active as you’d want them to be and this is why being an NBA head coach is not an easy job people think it’s just oh well you know push the button no it’s not offensive sets defensive sets the proper rotation how to get the best out of players how to go with the hot hand it ain’t easy and that’s why he tibs has to figure it out along with Johnny Bryant and Coach daddy Brunson and all the other coaches and that he’s got that’s they got to work to get it right and they gotta talk to each other and understand how the best to make it work but I hear you I agree with you on that Sam my fault go ahead Sam yeah so just a few points because it’s been a minute so for me I just wanted to say at least with this one that we’re on right now um obviously guys are going to just see the lineup and they’re going to say okay Precious is the backup for but from what I’ve seen and what we guys have seen in this past season tibs does like to run a plethora of guys in that position and now with the acquisition of Mel Bridges I think you could see as we saw in the playoffs OG play the four which I think OG can very well be a competent uh backup for for us in getting some of those bench minutes and if not him then I mean if we’re even going to go um just off of situation or or fits as far as the rotations you could even see Mel Bridges plac him for he has the the length and the uh wingspan to play a backup for but I think like we said earlier in the show um American man I know that it’s kind of hard for you to you know Envision that but I think it is more of a you know a night bynight basis um as far as the exact rotation that goes out there but um you know those guy those are guys I think in my mind that could be in that backup for depending on the rotations that he runs for that game in a precious or an OG and potentially even a Mel Bridges depending on the size of the rotation that we’re going to see and then also to this you know I know there are some guys saying oh you know whether no shot that these guys play you know tibs is stuck in his way I think that me personally this might be a wild take right now but I feel as though with the Knicks paying the highest amount of money to a second round pick ever in Tyler KCK he’s gonna get some burn I mean I know guys don’t want to hear that but that’s why I kind of said like I see tibs potentially expanding to a 10-man rotation and it could be a mixture of any of those three rookies that’s why I’m saying let’s not run it short on Kevin mccol this is a guy that was a very highly rated player could have went top 20 last year in the draft but injuries have hindered him and this is why he fell to where he did and also age constriction age uh concerns also like I said earlier in the show Huck pory is a guy that we have not even seen play yet for the Knicks this is a guy who could have a very good summer league this is just like I was saying earlier in the show nobody expected Mitchell Robinson to be that great as a second round pick who had no college ball experience in the United States we did not have any film on Mitch outside of high school film so I’d like to see what Huck pory could do before we just say these guys are just not going to do anything for the team just based off where they’re getting drafted if we’re going off of a recency bias even more we see that these second round picks are guys that the Knicks actually are playing right now Duce McBride former second round pick Mitchell Robinson former second round pick so these guys do have the potential and I just don’t see the Knicks shelling out that much money to Tyler K and not expecting him to fight second rounder right Jericho second rounder 56 pick or 58 I don’t know one of those um yeah 58 um yeah I agree with you uh Sam 100% on what you said there uh yeah do you think that since we uh spent so much money on kic that de McBride is Expendable well okay so here’s the thing so I don’t know now I’m thinking you guys didn’t hear a lot of what I said so this is what was happening during that time when I lost my round player has gotten this much guaranteed money prior record was Andrew nimart 6.4 million you know Andrew NIMH hard’s role with with uh Indiana don’t you uh KX Nick’s deal is the most a team can pay a second rounder under the second round exception to Sam’s Point which is this is why I wanted to talk about this earlier this tells me that some kic is gonna play okay I don’t know how he’s GNA play but he’s gonna play somehow and I I was mentioning before that I expect Duce I expect the signing of kic to push Deuce to play even better than he played last year and either one or two things is g to happen Deuce is g to put himself in a position to make even more money going forward with the Knicks or make more money going forward with another team but NE either way we have the person to either be the replacement for deuce or we have the person to depend on if Brunson is not available or we need somebody to spell Brunson that’s who Tyler kic is and that’s why they decided to pay him um so yeah that’s I just wanted to put that out there earlier and I apologize because like I said I lost my internet and so I don’t know if if it even showed up because I was pressing buttons and nothing wasn’t working so anyway there’s that so yeah so I I agree with you Sam I definitely think kic is going to somehow fit into this team I don’t know how they’re going to do it but I do think they have a system over there it’s like a soccer team you know they they go by the people who have the tenure and all that stuff so I think Rus is interesting and I really hope he comes to play with the summer league so we can really see how much better he looks this time around compared to the last time because I will say the last time he was played with us in the summer league he looked pretty good and he only played three games and he was out of here so uh I really would I think it makes a lot of sense for him to come play with the Knicks um summer league and so that way he also see how he looks out there with kic because the Knicks need to know what they got because if RIS doesn’t come over here I think eventually the Knicks are just GNA wind up moving on from him if he does come over here he gives himself a chance to to still possibly be in the Knicks thoughts but if we’re being real guys there’s only so many guys that we could use right you got Brunson you got Kik you got Deuce you don’t need much more at that position than that so uh I just don’t know we see Ron Ron last thing I’m gonna say and I’m gonna let everybody else talk here kic and you know this is me just being off able to watch him live here he is you know a willing Defender and has his moments of being a TJ McConnell as Defender I won’t say he’s on the same level as a TJ McConnell but he does have you know the attributes and the intangibles to be a Defender similar to that and then also I’ll say this he is bigger than TJ McConnell kak is like 63 guys so he’s not like a super small Defender I know that’s not also big for today’s NBA but he does have the attributes to where he could be a willing Defender and for me I think the the pushing of uh kic being given minutes is more so just his ability to playmake I know that people have watched Duce can still say that that’s his one knock now if Deuce improves on that then obviously Deuce has the defensive Edge over him he’s had the NBA experience I’m just coming off the perspective of I think that kic could get some of those minutes if we expand to a 10-man rotation where you might see him in spot minutes giving Brunson a breather or you know just playing alongside Deuce depending on who we’re playing and he could be the facilitator and Deuce being the two guard that’s all I’m saying and uh let you guys go off because I know that um there was another guy Ron I’m not sure if you know him I think he’s on our team uh second round pick uh I think 3334 and he’s kind of a guy who fans believe to be a superstar so let’s not be loow on these guys who have accomplished college basketball players who go and slip to the second round that should not be there I see what you did there yeah go ahead yeah I think kic is going to get burnt if they definitely play paid that money for him like there’s no way they going to do all that just to not have you play a minute at all and I was actually watching um something a couple weeks back when they guys and they were talking about kic and basically they were like yeah this is this is like who’s coming off the bench for jayen brunston now obviously they’re not they don’t make the final call and and and um and get things done so now that I listen to them and then and then I see you say that they paid him the most for a for a second rounder there’s got to be something to it nobody’s gonna do and his positioning and no no no no I’m not saying he’s that but you know Kyle Lowry one of Kyle Lowry’s things that he has in his bag is his how he swats the ball has he has great timing when you go up for a shot he swats it out of your hands or gets you to he knocks it off your body or kic is like that he’s the SWAT get the the steal out of your hands type you go up for a shot he can’t he can’t compete with you athletically but when you go up for the shot you better have your your hands on that ball because he will SWAT it out your hands and get quick steals that way he’s very pesky at doing that or picking your pocket right uh so he’s interesting like that and those guys are really dangerous as you guys can see how Kyle Lowry who I thought was washed and maybe he is offensively he’s still can knock down a three here and there but defensively his IQ is so smart that anybody he goes up against anybody on the Knicks he was swatting the ball out of all of their hands as they tried to get a layup we just you gotta be really careful with with those type of guys so Tyler kic is that type he’s the SWAT pesky type of guy um and that’s something that you could even give him a nod defensively over Jaylen Brunson because say what you will about Jaylen Brunson we know he’s not the greatest Defender he is greater drawing charges though but I would say Tyler KCK is a better Defender than Jaylen Brunson is they were also saying he’s a good catch and shoot guy he is he is he is the only bad thing about Tyler kolic which I don’t say it’s a bad thing because I’ve seen all types of guys get shots off there’s been comments about his his show um a show what the hell am I saying his um form with his shot uh it’s slow he’s got a little slow motion to his shot and some people think it’s you know it’s something he has to improve on with timing I’ve seen like slowmo right what’s what’s this guy slow- Mo’s real name Anderson Kyle and I’ve seen that dude shoot you know and get shots and just low people asleep as long as you can grab get the the spacing right and get the opening it doesn’t matter uh and I wouldn’t want to speed up somebody’s shot if it’s accurate the dude shoots 40% from three he shoots 49% from the field if you think I really want to mess with that I don’t so as long as he can get his shots off off that’s all that matters it may be a little slow but that’s something that will you know you determine as he actually plays in the NBA um so that’s You Gotta Wait Andre Miller was somebody who played everything he did was slow and he was one of the most effective players in the league at a time uh and he was Allstar if I’m not mistaken at one point and un like you said I mean we’re just gonna have to see guys like that’s one of those things where we really don’t know because we haven’t had this type of Knicks team in tibo’s disposal he has yet to have this stacked of a roster where he has this much faith in his guys and he’s already been to war with more than half of these guys on the roster so he knows that they’re playoff ready and they they’re War Ready as far as when we get to that point of the Season several times Sam several several times exactly several times so I think um you know it’s just going to be interesting and we’re going to have to wait and see but at least for me when it comes to these rookies I just think let’s let the summer league play out because we don’t really know especially at hawpy we really don’t know what this guy can provide to the team and anything would be beneficial for us especially when we have these guys on the small amount of contract money that we have them for so let’s just let it play out I think Tyler kic might surprise a lot of fans and just guys who let him slip other GMS that let him slip into the second round I think he could surprise a lot of people Kevin McCulla is another guy who you know if they’re if they’re able to play to the potential that we know that they have they could all be steals for the Knicks so let’s just let it play out and I’m excited to see how it goes um you know bronnie is about to have his first game so I will be tuned in that so I’ll be headed off shortly but I just think that we need to have faith in this team Leon Rose and you know I’ve even been a Critic of tibs calling the Mr cobblepot for some time but I think that you know even tibs this is a roster that he has not seen yeah this is a team that he hasn’t had his hands on as far as you know the the depth that we have on this roster so let’s just let it play out uh I I agree with that Sam I think we just gota we gotta be be comfortable with what we got and see how it works you know what I mean all all I’ve said before is this Nick team has shown the rest of the league there’s a reason why a guy who is respected in the league like a uh you know Kevin Garnett would say that next year the team you better worry about is the New York Knicks that is a real thing because the Knicks have shown they’ve made really good moves and they put together a roster with some good players as long as we are healthy we are going to be a problem and who knows how far we can go and that’s just how it is so uh I I would say that we we just got to look at it the same way um I I think that um oh where is it yeah oh shout out to David Park appreciate you bro yeah I wasn’t comparing them as far as positional I was comparing them as far as both being guys who say you know have a slow shot uh and be remembered I mean I’m not saying uh a 69 610 guy could get his shot up over a 64 65 guy but remember he also plays against bigs uh and he’s still able to get his shot up on them and he’s still able to low people to sleep and get by them like it’s just about all about being crafty and that’s another thing with regards to uh Tyler kolic he is Crafty some people say he has some of that Brunson in him not Brunson Brunson is a monster okay his footwork is impeccable but he has a little of that craftiness in him if you look at his game if you’ve seen the highlights and I did um uh tell everybody please try to take a look at these guys you know he’s got a nice little spin move with his back to the basket that he turns around and has some good speed to it and he’s able to get past guys he also has a baseline move that works so you kind of got to look at it um for what it is like he’s crafty enough to get to his spots there was a highlight um shout out to my guy Noah uh I’m sorry guys give me one sec anyway getting back to uh this uh uh I’m back I’m sorry I’m sorry Cory I’m back I’m back I appreciate you my brother thank you um he is um crafty with regards to that there was a play that he was going up against a taller player and uh he he uh you know was able to strip him of the ball he took the ball and and then he put the ball back up Up and Under and got the um got the the shot to go even at 63 like he’s crafty he’s he’s small he’s smart you know we already talked about him um when they were drafting him uh you know they were making a big deal about him trying to act like the kid is stupid they were talking about him like he was stupid you know that’s what they were basically saying because he failed uh well not failed he had a bad score on the wonderlick test which is like an assessment test for for IQ with regards to things you know so how how does that translate guys how do you tell me and this is what I’m not saying this this is what analysts and people who have watched him said how can you be you know not smart on an on an IQ aptitude type test and then be one of the smarter guys on the basketball court and an this is remember I made this point when we first brought that up that topic at least they said the same thing about CJ stra guys and I know this is a different sport you know different type of position da da da but they said the same thing about CJ stra I don’t put much into that oh this guy you know he scored bad on the da da da test the guy’s a baller he’s a baller TJ stra is a baller he showed it took his team to the playoffs first year Tyler KCK a baller he’s won he’s a winner he’s won the conference title National player of the year for his conference allamerican he’s done all that Brunson the same thing he’s a winner so if these guys have the winning mentality and just think of the guys we’re bringing in all these guys from you know the Nova boys they’ve got the similar credentials of being a winner at the college level they’ve shown what they can do and that’s what’s LED them to being a consistent model NBA player I just think K’s worth a shot he’s got a high ceiling same thing I feel about mcculler I think he’s shown flashes of him having a high ceiling so it’s a good problem to have when you’ve got at least those two guys like I said haor is more of an unknown guy but at least to have those two guys in kic and mcculler who we you know we have depth on the roster we’re not worried about oh man and you know much respect to these guys but we’re not oh man we don’t have to worry about putting in daquin Jeff or diakite or you know these other guys these guys we know can their game can translate well and they just need to be given the shot all right shout out to the official payback in the building appreciate you thank you for tuning in also shout out to Wild Boy Trey thank you for that wasn’t sure if I I mean I knew Andre Miller was a really good player I thought maybe he was an All-Star once but that’s an interesting stat you know Andre Miller he is the only player inba history to have at least 16,000 career points 8,000 assists and, 1500 steals without making an NBA Allstar game which basically tells you his style of play probably played into him getting snug but he was definitely an official tissue type of NBA player he was good at what he did um yeah appreciate that Von Allen that’s interesting I didn’t know that wow um yeah so I mean that’s that’s one of the things like you know you got to think about like with regards to these players like they talk so much man they use these freaking I said it before when weal when we talked about him before like if he’s a quarterback of a football team all right maybe the wonderlick matters maybe I got to care about that more because quarterbacks of a football team have to do so much out there and they’ve got to read defenses and also they got to understand everything that’s going on with the offense and anticipate okay it’s a little different you you’re managing a lot more but I think if we’ve already seen that everybody’s talked about Tyler kich of being a smart heady basketball player on the court I’m I’m paying him to play basketball I’m not paying him to do my taxes like so I I don’t know I don’t care about all that other stuff um so shout out shout out to to that and to uh you know Sam’s transition let me talk about these two things real quick first off I’m not a Yankee fan but shout out to the Yankees and their rookie Ben rice who’s hit three home runs today I saw it when they said he hit one home run I’m like oh that’s cool then I get another update he hits two home runs then I get another update he said three home runs shout out to the Yankees and Ben rice uh looks like they he might be an interesting player I mean I don’t know too much I’ve seen I’ve seen a met in the past um yeah I forgot what his name was and I can’t remember he hit three home runs in a game so you know but but but you know shout out to him that’s a good look but I do want to transition into some really negative news it has nothing to do with the Knicks and it’s just really sad if you guys know I heard about the Vikings rookie quarterback Kyrie Jackson was among three players uh killed in an automobile crash um unfortunately this young man lost his life he was 24 years old um he also uh was in the vehicle with uh two other teammates Isaiah Hazel and antha Lon Anthony lton Jr now they they weren’t um NFL teammates they were his high school uh teammates but you know they’re friends and they were all in the car together and all three lost their life you know 24 23 and 24 years old so that is a horrible tragedy uh prayers go out to um you know the whole Minnesota Vikings team as well as Kyrie Jackson’s family as well as the families of Isaiah Hazel and Anthony Linton Jr that is seriously tragic news I wouldn’t wish that on anybody I’m so sorry to hear that um and it’s just it’s that’s that’s just you know that’s terrible um and I’m sorry to have to do that guys and um try to get back to what we were talking about here but I just I I meant to actually talk about that when the show started um but we got caught up in different things and I just you know that’s just terrible news man no Ron actually I appreciate you for saying that because I was going to do that as well but we kind of got into you know a very uh enriched discussion earlier but you know condolences to that because you know these guys and I I saw the report this morning these guys are my age and it goes to show you guys no matter how old you are you know just never take life for granted no no tomorrow is promised I mean these guys are 24 years old and you know especially Kyrie Jackson a guy who’s had such a stored um individual who was able to bounce back from working at a grocery Delhi to being drafted in the NBA in the NFL draft and then having you know a promising future as a viking so it just goes to show you guys you know um you know stay around your loved ones tell the people that you love that you do care for them and make sure to cherish the moments that you have in this life because not every day is Promised yeah 100% bro 100% um yeah just you know you just never know and uh take every day uh you know and and take it in stride but don’t be uh be smart as you can be and try not to be Reckless out there and I’m not saying that this had anything to do with them and their fault it doesn’t matter whose fault it was it’s still a tragedy happened but still try to put yourself in the best position to stay as safe as possible because you know what I mean like you you only have so much control sometimes things things may be out of your control so just hope for the best man every day uh live live live the best the best life you can and be smart about it but once again uh roster they making it very difficult to find out anything it’s like it’s in a chest locked up with they threw away the key like what are we doing here um NOP still no new news guys they still have not announced the Nick summer league roster I mean I guess they don’t really have to there’s still time the Knick’s first sub Summer League game excuse me is not until the 13th right so there is some summer league happening but the Knicks still have time they don’t have to announce anything yet so we just have to be patient guys um and I don’t even want to tell you who they think might be on the the because it doesn’t matter right now I’ll wait till we get we get the official uh information it it because right now this it doesn’t matter we can hope that maybe we’ll see rokas um but who knows uh if there was anybody that you guys thought that you wanted to see on the summer league team is there anybody in particular that you think should be there we talked about it earlier we think Jericho Sims might be someone that should think about playing people threw out the name Duce McBride but we already talked about that I mentioned that Deuce is recovering from a foot surgery it’s a it’s a minor thing but he was in a walking boot a couple weeks ago I do not expect him to be playing in no summer league um but is there anybody else you guys would like to see you know Jacob toin maybe I like to see I really like to see Pome how he plays in the summer league against actual you know what I’m saying real players uhuh I hear you what what were you gonna say sam who were you thinking I was just going to say I was actually going to voice a similar thing I’m kind of interested just to see these new rookies so for me it’s the same as ree just said as dadd I want to see you know how he translate and this is a guy who you know took that cut and they said that a guy I don’t think anybody’s taking that cut and quite some time where rookies um taking that cut on just coming over and the Knicks also did buy him out from his team over in Germany so I think he has a fire lit under him to uh prove a lot of people wrong and show that he deserves some minutes this year so he could also be a surprising young guy that we haven’t really harped on on the show but the Knicks did take him in the first round so they have some belief that the guy um can contribute to their roster moving forward uh Jerell Williams shout out to you thank you for being here he had said poku would be a perfect in my opinion a perfect fit to add to the team you know I don’t know about poku man poosi is a weird dude bro I the the guy has he’s a he’s like a a unicorn type player right he’s tall linky what’s what’s pcu’s height now 610 maybe he’s seven fo is he yeses yeah he’s seven foot the problem is he has no weight that’s that’s yeah he’s light as a feather be soaking wet um uh I I don’t know man I’m I’m just you know it’s it’s it’s tough to say with this guy uh I get what he’s coming from and he just ACC commentated I’m getting where he’s saying it’s a you know can stretch the floor I just don’t know you know going off of our team what tibs wants if tibs wants a guy like poku on the team because I don’t know if that really fits the mode of the type of centers that tibs likes to have but I could be very wrong so that’s why I’m saying I don’t want to you know just shoot myself in the foot on that point but from the centers that we’ve seen at least recently on our team poku doesn’t fit the build as as far as a guy that tibs um with W in his [Laughter] roster yeah appreciate you whiz and I I hear what you’re saying about poku Sam I don’t know about him either I poku is interesting I think poku is one of those players that I’m concerned about with regards to his confidence because poku really had the shot to get busy in OKC when OKC didn’t have much going on and poku was a fixture over there and um I don’t know if he necessarily improved I actually think over the time he was there he got a little worse um but I do think that confidence has to play into that too he’s a guy who’s got a lot of skills I just don’t know if those skills are translating um and I don’t think he he is probably the great fit for the Knicks I think the Knicks we’ve been talking about dogs right Poco is no dog but the other thing we’ve been talking about is being a more physical team uh we got physical uh we got out phys a little bit with with Indiana of all teams in the playoffs now granted we didn’t have the bodies to really show our physicality but they still did it to us they played they beat us at our own game you know they saw what we were doing to them and they took that and they did it back to us and we didn’t have an answer for it because we just didn’t have enough bodies to stop them and we didn’t have enough offense to combat their offense so I just think we got to continue to be physical and have that type of phys physical presence and I I just think that we need we need a little little something different from our bigs I I think the light as a feather big type thing I don’t think is something that works for us we could have dealt with it if we drafted somebody like khil wear and watch them grow with us you know but I don’t know about poku Ron I got a serious question why don’t you think we why don’t you think we drafted Kyle filipowski why honestly I I I thought about that too I think the Knicks we had we had two opportunities and we we we skipped on it why I’ll be honest with you bro I really think that the Knicks are a a team that looks at you know having talent but I think culture is really big for this New York Squad I think the Knicks have decided that we are going to be a team that has this style of player as far as their mental makeup and then we hope that they have talent to go along with it we want good character guys we want guys that don’t really have any on or off the court issues type you know stuff and I’m not saying Philip palski himself as a player does but there is something that’s following that young man and it’s a really weird situation and I think the Nicks is just trying to avoid they don’t want to be headlines they don’t want to like there’s there’s just other people out there because remember the other thing with filipowski is he’s still a every everybody that comes out the draft is still somebody that’s got to earn their time whether or not you fit a need for us or not you got to show that you could do it against the NBA like against NBA players and been like like baby Mitch like he’s a seven-footer that could like shoot the three-pointer you think like I like I like him but you know he still have show his can I say this real quick so like my my thing about uh filipowski and I really like him right but I could see it to why the Knicks um decided to take a kic guy and and they both have high upside I’m not going to say filipowski has doesn’t have a high upside but I would just kind of you know hinder on the baby Mitch topic because he really did not show uh that defensive burn and fire that you would be expecting out of somebody like a mitch so I don’t picture him as more of a rim protector I picture him as more of a offensive very offensively skilled player but as far as on the defensive end I really didn’t see that much uh from Kyle filipowski as to to saying that he’s just going to be you know a rim protector no I I meant like I meant like the guy from Indiana what’s his name who are we talking oh Miles Turner I me miles not Mitch mil yeah yeah yeah but let me tell you something okay so here’s the thing the other thing I wanted to tell you remember how I said that the Knicks well one the NBA is is getting more and more physical each waking year right and they’re changing the rules to benefit that but the other thing is is the Knicks have shown you in the past two playoffs their goal is to out you know out be out to out physical you if they can right and they’re trying to develop that style of play and I think they really need that from their bigs once again going back to the other thing uh with regards to iHeart iHeart was very physical guys uh whether or not you say he got cooked because of somebody’s offensive ability over his and his defense is one thing but his physicality can’t be questioned he was physical he was physical and Mitch is physical filipowski has some issues with physicality I was just looking at something because I remember there was some cons that I had read about him because he was out there for a while um so but I’m just looking at the stuff that I was seeing you know um pros and cons of Utah Jazz taking Kyle filipowski um and then one of the things about him is he’s often struggled to finish through contact over taller Defenders uh he of has issues imposing his will in the paint area he gets backed out and pushed off his spot I mean I I think that’s probably a negative that the Knicks probably didn’t like you know if we’re just talking about on the court stuff um so I you know it he does have the other ability to do certain things I just think maybe you know they just didn’t know if it was something that they wanted to invest in I I don’t know because it it it’s all about the style of play player uh that they’re looking for and maybe he just you know you got to be able to fit some criteria for them I think as long as you have a seven-footer that can shoot the three that’s a good investment to have man you could you right work on that you could build upon that yeah you might be right we’re in an era where every big has a has a outside shot porzingis uh Miles Turner Lori marketing a lot of these bigs coming out nowadays have an outside shot so that’s a good that’s a good trade to invest in you know yeah yeah I hear you I hear you you gonna say something Sam yeah I was just gonna say like I said I’m not saying he doesn’t have a a high upside I actually agree with you Reese that he could you know B be beneficial to a team moving forward I just think that some things that may have swayed the Knicks otherwise they just really thought kic was the guy as far as using that early pick and that just like a lot of us or not a lot of us per se but just a lot of people who watch basketball think that kic should have won the first round so maybe they decided like filipowski should have probably win the first round in some people’s minds yeah than Pome you know but not gonna be ready for another two three years filipowski could could you could insert him right now well see here’s here’s my thing on filipowski that I was about to get to is he’s got injury concerns just like Kevin mcculler does this is a guy that’s had two major hip injuries which is probably one of the reasons and if not the main reason why he slipped is due to that and also that he’s not really that much of a defensive player so if you’re getting a guy like filipowski this is somebody Who You’re Expecting to bring in and to just come in and do things for you offensively defensively it’s yet to be seen and also he has very serious uh hip concerns which for a guy that size early in his career is not necessarily a good thing not saying that he won’t be good but I feel like the Knicks when they’re drafting these guys they’re doing their due diligence so I have to trust what they’re doing and I will say that if they took Pome the day I um you know they have some type of hype into why they selected him I obviously like many of our Knicks fans did not watch much tape on the guy did not know who the guy was when the Knicks took him but like I said before and I’ll say it again I want to see what the guy does in the summer league him and hu pory could be steals we don’t know yet so we could be saying you know okay the Knicks should have got filipowski but we don’t know what did uh Pome is gonna do we don’t know what HWP is gonna do and I just want to see what that takes us before I um you know bash on you know not getting filipowski but it’s a fair point that the Knicks could have taken him yeah and that that hip injury that’s that’s very worrisome because any anytime you you have a hip anything with the hip or the back has never turns out well you know what I’m saying yeah and and and just looking at his uh and I saw that too uh he actually had hip surgery uh uh following his sophomore year um you know he’s got some good Pros like he’s a good passing big he can shoot the Rock um but then he has poor creation upside uh is not there his free throws dipped um you know to below 70% I mean but for the Knicks you know what I mean compared to 36 38% for Mitch okay whatever I’m sorry Mitch but anyway um and a defensive upside apparently is a weakness for him lacking link and verticality he doesn’t project as a major asset in Rim protection you know how hibs loves his protectors um and he also uh uh you know like he he has some issues dealing with like athletic bigs but he did show some promising foot speed uh so that’s good he won’t be locking down any forwards though so he’s more of a a centers big um so yeah I mean there’s some things about him and I think that all played in because like I said it wasn’t just the Knicks who passed up on him was other guy other teams too so um you know and I think you know as people were saying maybe that Scandal it’s not really a scandal it’s just weird it’s weird motion over there with that whole thing with like the New York Giants we only want clean players clean players I feel like I I feel like that’s where we’re heading bro I feel like that’s the culture that we have developed over here yeah and listen ree I I know all too well about that because unfortunately unfortunately Rees I’m I’m a Falcons fan and the stigma with them is that all they do is draft choir boy so you know it just depends on the culture of the team what the type of guys they want but I just think it’s more so there were probably intangibles that uh tibs and maybe you know some of the guys in the front office said that they just wanted to pass on them so I I we we won’t really know what those things were but we can only point out what we know and what we’ve seen from college and that’s just the injury history and you know just the lack of being a Defender at least from what we’ve seen so far I hear you anytime you ever play with bad ankles or bad hips they they ain’t gonna last long you know Sam you killed me I live down here in Atlanta and I still cannot watch the Falcons shout out no I was just gonna say shout out to Danny oh Danny Landis appreciate you he asked uh do you think cat is better than Randall that’s it’s it’s really tough to say guys I I know you guys might say how is it tough to say a cat is a beast offensively yeah he is he really is but I just think that one I’m gonna say this and I keep saying it to you guys Julius Randall is one of the best players in the NBA I know his effort some it’s only effort guys I’m telling you he can play defense he’s got the defensive ability it’s just all about effort he enjoys offense more than defense and it shows he is a better allaround player to me than C in my opinion because CX issues is his motor sometimes and his mental also I think it’s a decision making like he would shoot a three-pointer with like two hands in his face think yeah think he make that shot there some sometimes the decision making that that pisses me off sometimes are you talking Rand or R well no but I think I think cat does the same thing I was just about to say have you seen where cat’s pulling from sometimes yeah I was just about to say this is my only this is my only knock on Cat and I love him as a player but if you’ve watched C from his days in college to now it’s kind of like he just abandoned his game that he had when he was a college basketball player I mean this was a guy yeah he could shoot the ball some but he was in the post like cat has abandoned that fully and he’s completely you know just now becoming a sharpshooter and now he’s only going to it you know in dire need is he driving but we rarely see cat on the Block even trying to post up guys I mean he had pretty good footwork he still does and he has pretty good post moves and he we just don’t see them anymore so I think he’s become more comfortable with um just becoming a shooter so that’s just the role he’s in but I think if cat in some situations even in his past postseason if he just went back to and spot up times and spot moments of just going back to the post it would be a different conversation but because he’s you know kind of neglecting to do so and also becoming a liability on the defensive end I don’t know if there’s much um separation between him and Randall and and the other thing I wanted to point out real quick yes I know efficiency wise Carl Anthony towns is a beast you don’t got to tell me that I I see it but I mean Carl Anthony towns let me I’m just throwing it out there okay guys I’m not not trying to you know 21.8 points for Carl Anthony towns 8.3 rebounds three assists 50% from the field Julius Randall 24 points 9.2 rebounds five assists 47% from the field there’s not a lot of difference there and if there is enough difference if you want to look at it it all favors Julius cat might have him in three percentage points but 47% from the field for a guy who shoots Jumpers in in a big like him is pretty damn good you talking about this year or throughout his whole career no no no I’m just talking about this year because this year yeah I’m only talking about this year because this year matters to me the Rand with the Knicks you know oh yeah but but R but Randall has improved see there’s a difference between Randall and Cat also cat’s efficiency is still high but I’ve watched cat’s numbers dip and you might say oh well come on Ron you know Anthony Edwards is the man over there so okay what does that mean he’s the number one Carl Anthony’s the number two in the Knicks Jaylen Brunson is the number one and I just showed you what randle’s stats were with Brunson being the number one so there’s no excuse for cat you know what I mean he still should be able to get his all I’m saying is Randall’s numbers overall look better efficiency doesn’t as good but that’s yeah I’m just saying there’s not much separation between the two players like you can debate various portions of their game who does what better but at the end of the day I’m not going to say that cat is just levels above Randall this is a guy who we just watched in the very recency biased of this past postseason not be in the game in clutch moments the last minutes of the game that whole Denver series I did not see cat on the court there was probably one game two games in that Series where cat stayed on the court but he was unplayable virtually because he was not playing good defense so I understand that there’s knocks on Randle for his defense as well but C was very unplayable this past postseason they benched him they they they they um you know pretty much would rather have had Nas Reed out there than cat in the last minutes of the games right yeah that’s true that’s true and you even heard Anthony Edwards in a press conference in front of everybody talk to to to cat and tell him his biggest issue staying out of foul trouble if you out there we could win with you but you keep getting yourself in foul trouble which I thought was pretty interesting that he would share that in front of everybody but he did you know how Anthony Edwards is he he he gota he don’t hold his tongue um and uh speaking of someone who’s always saying something uh I don’t know if you guys witnessed or saw Mitchell Robinson’s Instagram post but he’s always saying something you know Mitch Mitch lives with his emotions on on social media he put up a little picture uh basically say well you know what you know that’s that’s what we about here transparency you know what I mean let’s see if we can find this uh maybe I have it here if I have it real quick I’ll just put it up [Music] um uh it’s not popping up here sometimes I see stuff on my Twitter or X on my phone that I don’t necessarily see when I go on the computer it just doesn’t pop up as easily no whatever I’ll read it bottom line is Mitch put put up a a a little um quote whatever a post that says you’re getting distracted again you got dreams to go after not people to impressed get back on track so that’s what the post says and then his comment underneath it was I don’t know why I keep letting these little ninjas take me off my focus I don’t got [ __ ] is to prove to them but to prove to myself lock the F in Mitch F that other shiz so uh that’s where Mitch is at right now that’s his mindset he’s he he he hears the talks he hears your saying your stuff and he’s trying to block y’all out he’s just trying to go out there and become a better player for this New York Nick team I love it ni was watching the show today I love it maybe he was maybe he was [ __ ] was watching his show you know it’s crazy I think the best thing have to do is uh become vegan or something because he cannot stay healthy don’t worry about that the butcher is coming maybe maybe if he become vegan maybe he could stay more healthy you know because he cannot stay healthy uh I I hope I hope he does get better out there Ron on a on a more positive point and kind of jokingly too Ron I just wanted to say this guys and we should be excited um not only because of the Knicks but because of the Detroit Pistons in the moves that they’re making I mean this team with Tobias Harris and now Malik Beasley I mean I’m just hoping that they find a way to make it into playing and surprise some folks because we have their pick rights this year and it’s protected if they’re in the lottery so as long as they make it you know into the playoffs and get knocked out in the first round we get an extra pick guys so let’s uh let’s be a little bit more positive about those Detroit Pistons and hopes that they uh turn it around yeah let’s go Pistons I’m with you on that um and shout out to uh to glamour Nicks good to see you I hope you’re doing well I worry about Mitch’s mental health need him to take a break off of social media yeah I mean I don’t know I mean the only the only bad Mitch is great and he’s very um he’s a really good dude right and he’s very um social bull right he jumps in some some people’s Twitter spaces and stuff like oh Mitch is great like you love that about him but you also don’t want him to listen to the noise too much you know the noise it’s it’s noise for a reason it’s not always good so I want Mitch to lock in like he said um and just continue to work to be the best he can be man get back to to playing the game you love and and all he’s got like I said guys all he’s got to do is play 55 to 60 games but 82 Game season and just be available in the playoffs and everybody will love mitchan because he’s just out there when he’s out there he’s gonna make things happen he just got to be out there did they tell Mitch that he played for the New York Knicks well yeah it’s unavoidable but you know you know anything about Mitch Mitch is the type he don’t hold his tongue he’s a country bumpkin you don’t play that that’s why he fired four agents in the past Mitch Mitch don’t like something he gonna let it be known and it’s kind of you know Ron it’s it’s kind of more so like let’s just let’s see let let him show us like I I you know Mitch if you’re going to do all this you know and I I hope he does watch the show just prove everybody wrong not just Nicks fans who might doubt you but NBA fans who who are doubting you and are saying that you know ihart came and stole your job even though you were injured so technically he just picked up your job but I’d like to see what you do Mitchell Robinson Julius Randle prove the haters wrong show that you can you know perform in the playoffs with a more solidified roster like Unk said you’re not going to bat with Alfred Peyton you’re going to bat with Jaylen Brunson ogan and Obi Mel Bridges the bench unit that we have these are guys that perform around him so I’m I’m interested to see even what Julius Randall does in the regular season this is a team where we saw Unk with uh you know just having Randall that stint that we had Randall OG and Brunson for like nine games we were doing pretty well we’re beating teams by 20 plus points so imagine now with the addition of Mel Bridges uh you know just the fit of Randall I want to see what it is uh you know just in the regular season with these additions that we made so we could be wrong about Mitch people could be wrong about Randall let’s just let it play out I mean they know that the this is pretty much the season to make or break it for both of them in my opinion as far as where their future is with the Knicks moving forward yeah I agree with that I agree with that 100 per. um and uh thank you guys to everybody who has uh subscribed to the show um I definitely appreciate you guys I don’t know if you you know uh you realize how how important it is and how much you know you guys have done to impact what we got going on here picked up over a hundred subscribers in the last day and a half so you guys are definitely rocking I appreciate y’all we on the   2. Hey Ron love your content! Mitch will play 28 minutes, Precious 10 and Juju 10 and Sims in reserve with 7' rookie as 5th option if any injury issues . Juju needs to play some 5 so Dante and Josh can still get their 30-35 minutes. No way Tibs playing Sims over Dante and Josh. Have to sign Precious!!!!!!!

  3. Juju, OG and the Nova 4 will play 33-36 minutes each ; Mitch 28 min, That leaves 10 each for 8th and 9th guys Precious and Deuce. Sims is insurance for Mitch as 10th dude but not same 28 minutes! 7' rookie gets called up if /when Mitch gets hurt. Jacob is back up PF till we can sign a Bogy like dude by trade deadline. MUST sign Precious !!!!!!! Tibs already decided he like Precious over Sims – for good reason!!!!

  4. Getting MB was as awesome and more so than getting OG. Having both made not just Deuce but Hartenstein expendable too:
    I'd love to get Kessler but not giving up Deuce or passing on Precious for him! Getting MB will impact both Deuce and Dante's minutes as shown below.

    Tibs has already decided on Precious over 10th dude Sims.

    12th guy is Jacob in SF/PF Bogy role.
    13th guy 2nd round PG in Burkes role

  5. Mitch and Kessler at 5 with Precious as insurance for Mitch, Juju and OG and having Sims and 7' rookie for depth would be awesome.

  6. It was our bad only signing Hartenstein for only 2 years! We didn't make that mistake with Deuce fortunately – but we'll be looking at an IQ like problem in 2 years with our new rookie 2nd round pick Tyler ready to replace Deuce like Deuce replaced IQ's role essentially.

  7. 1:42:16 is good point – but that's where Deuce and Precious will be getting most of their minutes. After Sims at 10 rest are towel waivers. Kolek is not playing on big squad unless JB or Deuce is out extended games same with 7' rookie only if Mitch is down extended games and only called up as insurance for another injury or foul trouble – not to play anything but garbage minutes .

  8. 1:55:40 Man – please. We had so many injuries last year – Tibs had no choice but to play all heavy minutes! American Man is Tibs hater – please stop. Tibs should have been COY last year! Tibs practices are walk throughs, film and no contact He treats his players like grown men that know their limits better than anyone ! Our chemistry is by far best in show and it starts with Tibs and Rick B. We family! Injuries happen!

  9. 2:09:00 Embid is a problem for many, Maxey looks like a VERY special player and PG13 makes them top 4 team in east again. I have them 3rd ahead of Bucs. Embid doesn't get away with BS he did in playoffs with King Kong Julius playing! And with Juju not having to play 40 minutes all the time now – and not having to score near as often as past years with us now that we have such insane rotation and depth his defense will be night and day better – remember I said this first. He and Mitch will handle Embid, Giannis, KP/Horford and Joker as well as any team does. And those guys all will have little to no help now defending Juju with the wicked potency of our offense.   10. All this would’ve been avoided if they would’ve picked the center in the draft they were so busy worrying about IHART They did not focus on the center position. Knicks bit more than what they can chew here they should’ve focused on the center at draft
