other teams in the west that that we kind of forgot in that last segment that would at least be in the way of teams yeah I said the Kings like you know there’s been some Rumblings about Brandon Ingram Landing there like if you add Brandon Ingram to dearon Fox you know in comp sabonis Damonte sabonis like that’s a pretty formidable threesome right there I think you could and Malik monk resigned too yeah you could you could his instant offense you could you could do some damage there the West is tough the West is deep the East I think has some really topheavy teams yep uh you know the the Sixers obviously the Celtics the Knicks the Bucks I won’t count out you’re four four deep to you’re four deep there but uh the West is you know they got like you know we just named like what six or seven maybe didn’t even say the Rockets either yeah that was the one you mentioned the Rockets are kind of an upand cominging team a lot of people think they’re going to make some noise so yeah that’s why I I honestly you know we talked about the Lakers in the opening segment and then the the Warriors there in the second segment I think that LeBron and Steph it’s Pro their days of winning titles are probably over I really I really do I’d be surprised at this point if either of them got another title unless Steph just went at the end of his career and went somewhere else like I said I don’t think LeBron’s going to leave yeah both of them would probably have to leave to go to just some readymade spot I don’t see that happening so speaking of title contenders that may still need to make moves so names being bandied about Lori marinan Brandon Ingram people would have to trade for them and trade legit draft Capital maybe some young Talent do you like either of those more than the other one I know people like marketing I I’m a big Brandon Ingram fan I know that there’s some things that might come along with it but I just think if you get him happy and in the right situation you know with and and you have the right leader ship there I I honestly I think Brandon Ingram could be a Difference Maker I don’t even understand why New Orleans really wants to get rid of him you shouldn’t right now New Orleans if you go into the season the way you are right now Ingram Zion Deonte Murray and CJ McCollum there’s not a lot of forom that are better than that in the NBA now I know there’s other pieces that need to happen it’s not you’re not playing four on four basketball but how many other forums are better than that four yeah not many I mean that but Celtics Knicks I mean like there’s got to be something there I mean the Insiders probably know more about it than than I specifically do but there’s got to be something there where they’re even contemplating moving Brandon Ingram I know I believe he’s he has one more year left to on his deal so whether they want to pay him long-term probably factors into it uh but still I mean the guy could got I know the per the purr and the the advanced stats don’t love him but man he could fill it up pretty good so the last four years Jordan mhm for the Pelicans he played 62 games 24 points a game and I’m going to do your thing Round Up by the way cuz it really wasn’t 24 I’m going to do this for you we average 20.8 are you going to tell me you averaged 20 point I’ll give you 21 so four years ago it was 23.8 and 6.1 rebounds as well also gives you about four or five assists per game right then he went to 23.8 again 22.7 24.7 and 20.8 again each year giving you about five rebounds anywhere between four to you know 5 and a half six assists dude can play yeah so Marin and he puts up numbers so who do you like better between those I think I like marinan I I all right so the thing that I like about Markin in is the size and the ability I know Ingram’s not short but the size and the ability to kind of stretch things so marinin off the air you and I talked about him and you know he’s now what seven years in the league and you don’t normally I’ll I’ll say your statement you don’t normally look at someone and say there a superstar in year seven or year eight well I could argue that he was miscast with Chicago maybe miscast in Cleveland and then when he got to Utah and became more of the focal point you got a guy that averages 26 we just don’t don’t pay attention yeah you yeah the Jazz are like let’s not be jerks here but the Jazz are not a team that like registers on the national scale right whether not they haven’t been in deep in the playoffs or you know doing anything the last couple years so you don’t even notice and I I granted I’m probably a victim of that with him it’s probably like out of sight out of you know out of mind out of sight yeah so 26 almost nine and then last year 23 and almost eight uh eight rebounds and he shoots 39% 40% from a three-point line too yeah those are good numbers I like Markin in I like the fact play three the four that uh maybe just Brandon Ingram’s more Dynamic you know in regards to athletic ability and just mark But marketing is a solid basketball player the ironic part is that uh Brandon Ingam is actually younger he is than Larry Markin not that that’s much of a difference I think they’re both kind of in their Prime but that’s why I like these kind of guys I I think if you get either one of those guys in the right situation they could take that next step maybe not numbers wise but recognition and game-wise because uh they’ll do more winning right let me ask you that let’s go with that so recognition wise do you think either one would matter more recognition wise for a team do people know Ingram more than Markin and you think probably Ingram went to Duke I he has that background but look all that matters is when you’re sitting there watching in May and June and it’s playoff time and you’re there and you’re on the big stage and everybody you know like look you only watch especially when you live on the east east coast here like I I do watch West Coast basketball but it’s late because we’re not owls ex but there’s a lot of people who don’t who that when you get deeper into the playoff all right this is a big game um I’m going to stay up to watch game six of the uh you know Western Conference semi finals like though now you’re on the radar of more people so they haven’t been there right at any point of their career either of those two guys no at any point of their career they’ve been BR Ingram was probably most known for not playing that well in La at times like getting you know being a guy that everyone wanted to be a star and didn’t necessarily turn that corner you know who he kind of reminds me of in that regard Julius Randall yeah some big numbers but maybe maybe gets put to the yeah Randall’s a good one yeah by the way the West Coast thing like I was staying up this past year to watch Juju Watkins play for USC like that was that was how how like odd my brain is I’m like she’s awesome I need to stay up and watch her play late night for USC all right so how about this other names that could potentially help some title contenders probably the biggest name is DeMar de Roan he’s going to turn 35 in August last year still played almost 38 minutes a game 79 games gave you 24 four and five D rozan can clearly help a team oh definitely like if if the Lakers could have S could somehow get him I don’t know if that’s possible doesn’t really seem like it’s possible the money doesn’t seem like now they’re going to have to be sign in trades like you’re going have to get through a lot of gymnastics here like and is someone willing to take the expiring whatever it is 18 million or whatever it is for D’Angelo Russell like I don’t know people want quote unquote that headache yeah no that that’s the problem but yes he can make a difference but who’s like on the precipice that needs that and can make it happen at this point is the real question to me but I I look I do like Demar de rozan he has a ability to score if you need somebody who can who can get Buckets you know Demar de R Roan’s the guy out of those three guys more than anything if I’m looking to build something I want I would look to make a move for Markin in or Ingram right the rosen’s like oh I need a final piece kind of guy yes where if I’m looking to build something long term that’s sustainable okay Ingram and Markin in 26 27 years old I’d rather go that route but I guess if you’re in desperation mode and you’re the Warriors or the Lakers and you need that one player maybe uh the Bulls I mean what about the Clippers like why aren’t the Clippers in on Ro man’s land huh right cuz like all right so the Clippers now you’re basically building around Harden and and Kawai which is scary and a few young players there too so why not you lose Paul George if you can get to rozan for a lot cheaper than George would have been why not just do that is he better than Paul George though their numbers are similar he’s not better he’s not but their numbers are s he might be a better scorer natural scorer but he’s not the better player so like what are you doing if you’re the Clippers and you get at some point if you’re the Clippers don’t you have to get younger right because you’re still staying in what like Western Conference West come on what do we doing here West but joic apparently wants Westbrook okay that’s the rumor yeah in the league accomplish great things average a triple double right James harded MVP led the league in assists once yeah I mean but they have proven not to be ultimately winning players in regards to winning championships like the move to get you over the top is not Westbrook or Harden to me at this point it’s Markin in or Ingram guy like that so again I know we’ll talk fireworks so Fourth of July doesn’t turn the ball over also shoots the ball very well yeah I I go fireworks there he he’s a good solid player he could team he could be yeah he could be a good solid contributor good he would be he would be a good addition Luke Canard $4.8 million player option was declined by the Grizzlies rumor is that he may still sign back there anyway but 28 years old limited to 39 games last year still to move the needle at all you’re going to have to find a way to make a trade and work the money out yeah it’s probably more complimentary pieces right now speaking of complimentary there might be some
