Ricky council is going berserk right now let me tell you my goodness Ricky Council needs to be in the rotation he’s going berserk this man is five of nine from three he’s screaming in the summer league like it’s the NBA Finals game seven I love Ricky counil oh my goodness and the funny part is the first the first shot he took from three it looked very very awkward and I was like oh no Ricky counts still doesn’t really have a three ball it’s going to be super duper inconsistent but then he comes out in the second half super confident wanting to show us fans that he has been improving that jumper because that’s the only missing piece in his game well there’s other things he does play out of control he had a charge tonight where he kind of just drove no plan but that’s what you’re going to get out of Ricky Council it’s just like Kelly UB they’re pretty much um in the same you know tier as a player they have similar Styles where they’re super aggressive downhill and silly things will occur like bad shots because they’re just trying to get to the basket you’re just going to have to live with that but the thing about Ricky counil is he’s going to play hard 247 I mean he’s playing in the summer league right now and he’s treating it like the NBA Finals he has 27 points eight rebounds Ricky counil was the player of the game Jared McCain I thought had a very good game the thing that was impressive tonight is his shot was not falling and that’s his best asset he was Zer of six from the three-point line but I thought he played pretty good he had a nice change of pace left to right crossover in transition he had some nice finishes around the rim he had some nice assists to Adam Bona who also looked like an NBA player that’s the thing about this um year summer league team they actually look like they got a bunch of NBA players like Jeff dowen who I’m definitely going to talk about later in the video Jared McCain Ricky Council Bona I all believe they can play um you know rotational minutes they’re not going to play 20 minutes a night but Off the Bench I think all of them can produce especially in the regular season now do they crack the playoff rotation who knows I would say Rickie Council has the best opportunity to crack a playoff rotation because my goodness that dude’s body is insane he’s built like a football player he’s going to be a a great defender because he tries hard he can guard multiple positions he can rebound the basketball Ricky Council has to be in the rotation it’s that plain and simple but McCain um he kind of talked about that he believes he can show more playmaking than he did at Duke and I thought he did a great job you know playmaking throwing lobs throwing nice passes and things like that and his three-point shot will fall so it’s it’s not really a big deal now Jeff dowen I believe the Sixers got their backup point guard in Jeff dowen I just think he has a Comming presence he’s a great floor General he’s 6′ three as well so if you put him in there you’re not it’s not Kyle Lowry who’s 6’1 so you don’t lose a lot of size I just think I think he’s an NBA player he’s 27 years old but I don’t know I I truly believe the Sixers should sign him and see what they got in him and give him rot ational minutes all year long because I think he can develop into a trustable role player we saw him last year he was really good when he got an opportunity in the NBA so those who are saying oh it’s the summer league blah blah blah blah blah well he played last year when he had an opportunity he just looked like he belonged he’s not going to do anything special but he’s also not going to kill you he’s trustable you can trust him he’s not going to do anything stupid so I think he would be good Off the Bench especially for the young guys like Ricky councel Jared McCain as well so I think they should sign Jeff D I’m big Jeff dowon Stan as you can tell um Bono was great as well he’s just an Energizer Bunny he’s hustle and 24/7 and he’s an actual lob threat he can play Above the Rim which was lacking in the Paul Reed experience so that’s Bona he and he’s not going to try to do too much like he’s not going to try to dribble if he has the Rock at the three-point line he’s going to go right into a dribble handoff solid rebounder he looks bigger than He’s listed as well he’s got super long arms I like Bona he should be a good third backup big behind Andre Drummond and they kind of are like the same archetype so I feel like learning behind Drummond is going to do some great things for him just watching Drummond play I Feel Like Bona can learn a lot um from Drummond but I think the Sixers uh summer league is worth a watch if you’re interested cuz they’re actually they got some high IQ Gamers I guess you could say I feel like last year’s Squad and like the Jaden spring or summer league squads were just so hard to watch but this year was a fun watch for sure
