This is the one season where I want 100% from Ben. Last season I didn’t want him on the court outside of garbage time because he was a liability in every phase of the game. However, he is the ideal tank commander. He can put up 4 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds on any given night while making his team worse off.
If you’re serious about getting a top 3 pick, you ought to want Simmons to play 30 minutes a game, while being healthy enough to play 70 games.
I know Ben will play no more than 15 games because he’ll feign an injury because he doesn’t want to ruin his ‘reputation’ by being a tank commander. He is a gigantic pussy and the team would have been better off paying Mr. Whammy 40 million a year the past three seasons. But if he cares at all about this franchise, or even his good name, he should be out there on any given night.
