As a person who watched in real time I might agree somewhat. Not Paul himself but his Celtics definitely caused Bron to dig deep and it’s revisionist to act like Pierce wasn’t both a top 8 SF of that era and his style of play definitely pushed Bron to deepen his own bag (Plus imo the Celtics and the Magic caused him to goto the Heat for his 1st ring). I think he was talking more as a collective but idk I don’t wanna wait til players like Pierce die before people validate how they felt about their game and contributions.
