I don’t understand why everyone is making this about JB vs. Derek White. It’s pretty clear to me that JB believes he should be on the roster ahead of many of the players Nike, I mean, Team USA selected. I would consider Booker and Haliburton as the most obvious players JB feels should not have been selected over him.
edit: I see I am in the minority here. I think JB has earned the right to voice his opinions. If Nike is picking the team, which they are, that is a problem. Team USA should assemble the best roster capable of winning the gold. A roster not involving JB is not the best roster for winning. For some reason society tends to shun people who aren’t afraid to speak their minds because sometimes that makes things uncomfortable. I feel the opposite. I wish more people were like JB.
