Atlanta Hawks Summer League roster breakdown – reaction and players to watch
summer league roster reaction the Atlanta Hawks have their roster announced uh I am pleasantly surprised by this roster Riley Davis we got miles Norris Kobe buffkin nicoa jurisich Jordan Bowen zachar sash jel Joiner EMT Matthews Jr Mo Guy or gay I forget how you pronounce that but uh Washington State’s own uh MTAR gay I’m assuming there might be a relation there I don’t know Dylan Windler Keaton Wallace Moses wood EJ Liddell Nick Ananda and Rob Baker II the fun who at guy team and also a fun playing rotation on this team W what do you what do you make of this roster I think Jarel Joiner and Kobe buffkin were made to win Summer League games that’s going to be a fun backourt because both those dudes can go nuclear at any moment hopefully Rah gets gets his shots in because uh I think both those dudes will be trying to prove something and they’ll think like yeah number one your Future’s already secured you just go stand in the corner and wait for one of us to kick out to you yeah I uh I’m I’m intrigued I think this is good because it’s gonna make reash do some things it’s also gonna be a Kobe buffkin ball in the hands team and I love when Kobe buffkin has the ball in his hands I still believe in this dude I really do I loved him at Michigan uh he was Jan Howard’s last actually good player and uh yeah never forget one season under the horrible Michigan Co coach and he was like a fringe lottery pick I think he could be really good I’m happy he’s playing I think he’ll be one of the best players in summer league there’s also Nicole jurich who I I forget if you and I did the Scout break down on him or if it was me didn’t might have been Ralph um I really like him like I I’m I’m pretty across the board out on all the international prospects re a included I think juresic is awesome like I think he’s going to be a dude in the league for a really long time he’s like really bouncy has some handle has some Swagger and can shoot the lights out uh I I like this group I think buffkin jurich and reash is one of the more like intriguing High upside maybe also low floor trios in summer league what about Liddell Liddell’s a dude who I can’t believe I just I was looking at his NBA stats before this I don’t even know if he’s a like I want to say His Highest Point per game year is half a point in the league and he’s someone who I I know there were probably the size concerns or even what position does he play but I just he was so productive at Ohio State and such a dog and had really good touch like around the basket and sort of all over the floor and extended his range out to three that I I at least thought he might give you a couple points off the bench for a team yeah classic big 10 lies being told that’s that’s what EJ Liddell is uh much like Johnny Davis you watch him in college and you’re like oh stud going to at least score the basketball and then you get to the league and you’re like there’s not like just seven foot plotting big men everywhere anymore so he can’t go anywhere uh now Liddell is a bucket I think summer League’s like the perfect setting for him I think he’ll help like this team might win a lot of games in summer league but I I don’t think there’s an NBA future for Liddell at this point but that’s that’s the type of player you should add though in summer league like depending on if you’re trying to win or just trying to get the young players involved like Liddell’s a dude who helps Kobe buffkin and reash in these games uh do you think re a is going to be good in summer league I know we like danced around him as the first overall pick but like I mean going to open summer league against alexar ah I don’t think he’s going to be very good in summer league I still I said this when we did our breakdown of Rah I like him a lot as a player I think he has a very high floor but his whole where he’s at right now is three and D really good Defender and yeah but he’s not even much of a he’s he’s not like going to be taking threes off the bound maybe he does maybe he shocks me with that but I still think of him as more of just a somewhat like a wing who plays off of others yeah that’s same with me um it look if he’s great in summer league I’ll be ecstatic I’m kind of sensing we’re going to get like bad games from him and then everyone’s gonna be like oh my God how did this dude go first overall but we’ll see we’ll see if I’m wrong uh what would your starting lineup be with this group Joiner at the one buffkin at the two rah at the uh let’s throw jurit at at the three Rah at the four and big Mohamad gay at the five I like that uh I would play Kobe at the one I want to see him in point guard mode for summer league i’ would play jerisich at the two I’d play re at the three I would play EJ Liddell at the four and then Mo at the five but yeah just a little tweak either way I the most important thing to me with this team by far though is like Kobe in point guard reps so he can get those even if he’s at the two he can get those even if you just stagger the rotations there’s not many guards on this team which I think probably indicates they plan on playing a lot of Kobe buffin uh which makes me excited for this group who that guy Riley who that guy Nick Ananda no idea do you know who he is I have no idea who that is uh also who that guy miles Norris never heard of him did he play at loyal of Chicago you’re thinking Braden aren’t you yeah I am I was confusing by Norris’s very different I mean that’s a common mistake apparently he played for Oregon uh and then like Community College San Francisco UC see Santa Barbara I I’m confused on who a lot of these men are uh is is mocktar Mo’s brother let’s look this up moar be right how how many gu y e are there I actually think it’s a pretty common last name really I do he played at as Spire Academy in Kentucky is that where Mohammad played I don’t know I think Mohammad played there where yeah I can’t really find he played at UAB for three years it’s all I’ve been able to find so he’s sagales there okay because there’s a muhamadu gay who played at pit but his was pronounced ghe but then there’s also Muhammad see that’s this is why I think there’s I this I think it’s a pretty common last name okay the other the one who played at Washington state is also sagales maybe marar is his brother they got to be brothers Riley I’m tell you don’t just invite a 28-year-old mocktar gay if if you’re not the brother of moay uh I’m Mo played at prolific moay played at prolific prolific prep that was a not Spire Academy okay well who knows uh okay I’m intrigued I’ll be watching you hawk summer leue good luck in summer Le car you know what I love about you that I’m handsome you’re reliable I can count on you you know honestly you remind
