all right boys welcome back to another video swaggy here today we’re talking about the Golden State Warriors summer league team they have gotten off to a 3 and0 star although I’m not entirely thrilled with the performance against the Kings yeah they won it by one point we’ll get into it in a second here but overall they’re three and0 winning basketball games is winning basketball games the warriors were pretty solid in clutch time last season they won about I think it was the top my head the third most clutch games and they lost the six Mo so four of those losses came without Steph Curry but overall seeing this team win games down the stretch is awesome because that was a weakness for the team last season and there are multiple players that played in the game that are on the roster or that I think will make the roster we’ve got a lot to talk about seeing a g-league Warriors team essentially play this well get up to a good start and compete is extremely exciting for the future of this team Draymond Green Steph Curry they’re not going to be here forever as sad as it is to say that because they won four championships we already saw Klay Thompson go to the Dallas Mavericks so we got to enjoy what we can right now go out there and get one more Championship but let’s talk about the game so the Warriors they get off to a 30 and 17 lead in the first quarter and then the second quarter they get off to a again a 29 to 21 Point differential but then in the third quarter they lose that 16 to 27 and then the fourth quarter they lose that 16 to 25 so if you do the math in that it means they won by one point so thankfully for the Warriors their stud rookie last season peski ended up knocking down a game-winning free throw he missed the other one with 5 seconds left and then the Kings missed a game-winning shot but overall finding a way to win games is huge pensi finished with 15 points and four assists for the Warriors Kevin Knox of all people finished with 19 points we talked in the last video about how Knox is the former nth pick in the draft was it 2019 at the top of my head yeah I think it was 20 or it’s 2018 2018 right 2018 draft he was a top 10 pick goes one before melel Bridges it’s just been consistency and injuries for Knox he’s a guy who has all the in the world as we saw Kentucky but he just couldn’t piece it together and against the Lakers and his debut for the Warriors He’s a free agent remember trying to make the NBA he was not good to say the least but against the Kings it was a different story I mean Knox was arguably the best player on the floor goes out there and drops 19 Off the Bench of course I’m talking about a guy who again was 0 for at the free throw line against the Lakers in his debut was missing layups and all of a sudden the guy lights it up in the second quarter and the third quarter had a nice dunk to kind of keep the Warriors a man remember the kings were on a big run what impressed me most about Knox was his efficiency so what impressed me the most about Knox was his efficiency I love the 215 in one block but shooting three of five from three six of eight overall was huge for the Warriors especially that two-handed dunad in the third quarter that helped the Warriors retain their close lead remember huge start in the first two quarters and all of a sudden here come the Kings but Knox that dong sort of kept the momentum down a little bit and Knox had 14 in the second quarter I mean he was big time in this game he’s the type of player that if he just continues to play like this he’s going to have a great chance to make the opening day roster Ethan Thompson a guy who in my opinion should make the opening day roster I don’t know what else he can really prove it besides just continue to be consistent he had 13 points in 24 minutes off the bench four steals as well that’s something we’ve been talking about Thompson is how he just continues to stuff the stat sheet and play both sides of the ball against the Lakers he had 27 points and 11 rebounds and three steals right Thompson over all should make the roster he just needs to continue to improve and just stay consistent and lock in Focus like he’s been doing but he’s a guy who’s extremely impress me he’s making a serious case for being on the opening night roster and then you’ve got Tracy Jackson Davis who had 11- six his rookie season was electric the guy plays 17 minutes a game gives the Warriors eight points five boards and an assist over a block 70% from the field that was the fourth best in the NBA among players with at least 175 attempts so you can see that the Warriors have a young stud that is just a dunking machine and then they’ve got peski of course who you look at him and Jackson Davis they combine for 11 points in the first quarter they got the Warriors off to a great start and I just want to say real quick a shout out to Keon Ellis I mean this guy had 30 points he’s one of the best defensive guards in the league despite being so young and on a two-way contract Mason Jones who is a Houston Rockets Legend had 12 points 11 rebounds and seven assists if you’re a Warriors fan listening right now you’re like who the hell is Mason Jones just keep it that way don’t worry about Mas Jones but I mean looking at this young Warriors core right so last season we saw again the rookies step up big they were so fun I’m looking at a guy like uh Moses Moody who definitely showed a lot of potential I’m hoping that he can take a leap just like Jonathan kaminga did the Warriors have a lot of young talent in this roster they also have veterans like Steph Curry Draymond Green buddy heeld Kyle Anderson DeAnthony Melton’s just 26 years old it seems like he’s older but he no he’s just 26 years old you know Gary Payton is on this roster looking at a cavon looney man who is of legend for this organization he’s come up huge in big moments help the Warriors win some championships the Warriors are doing everything right they’re of course building around their young core but they also have not ruled out getting aggressive they were in on Paul George they were in on Lori Markin until the report came out that it looks like there’s not going to be a trade happening anytime soon the Warriors could revisit a deal in February which is when marinin will be eligible to be traded after the extension I presume he will sign but overall the Warriors the fact that their g-league team their summer league team is competing like this it has to be encouraging man because they had two blowout wins against of course the Heat and the Lakers and then they had a win over the Kings and the Kings have a good young team the Kings beat the Warriors in the play in last year and it just felt good to get a win over them against the Lakers for those you that missed it I’ll be quick because again this was like last week but the warriors were missing a lot of guys they were missing Pat Spencer they were missing Quinton post who was a second round pick this year for the team and then of course the rookie Jackson Davis and penski were not playing so all of a sudden you’re not relying on Kevin Knox you’re relying on you know plowden and Thompson and Balin and these guys stepped up in the Warriors won 92 to 68 Thompson had 22 points remember he had 27 points the game before Off the Bench he ended up getting the start plen had 14 points eight rebounds and two blocks mantis scored 12 Off the Bench so the Warriors overall defensively the way they’ve shot the basketball has been exciting they didn’t keep their put on the gas against the Kings which was unfortunate but a win’s a win at the end of the day so I’m not really complaining about it but the biggest thing to me what I want to end the video on is I want to see Steph Curry go out and get another championship right I don’t think there’s a single worries fin listening right now that doesn’t want Steph to win one more or two more or three more right but how can the Warriors put him in a situation to actually do that to get it done because Steph was obviously not the problem last season he was as good as he’s really been ever in his career I mean he’ll never have another season like 2016 when he was unanimous MVP but Steph was still the best shooter in the league he had a 60-point game he actually had a very durable season as well he played in what 72 games at the top of my head which is very impressive uh just to make sure that’s fact checked 74 games there we go I’m glad I fact checked it 74 games which was high since 1617 I mean Steph was unbelievable when clutch player of the year the guy hit 357 threes which was the third most in NBA history of course behind his own records 402 and 354 and Steph his leadership as well was awesome he just kept these young guys locked in and focused I just want to see what the Warriors can do with Buddy heeld DeAnthony Melton Kyle Anderson and of course I need to see Gary pton stay healthy I need to see cavon Looney stay healthy Jonathan kaminga took a leap can you take a even bigger leap Moses money can you take a leap and then those young rookies that going into the sophomore year what can we get out of them man I’m excited for the Warriors I think they’re a piece away from winning a championship Paul George if they had gotten him I would certainly be putting the Warriors at the top of the West they did not get Paul George but now they can get Lori Markin who was younger he’s just turned 27 in May so
