Scoot just added this meet and greet poster to his instagram. Looks like he’s going to be in Las Vegas while summer league is going on… maybe he’s injured?
Just seems weird that he’d tag along and not play.

I wish he was playing but I’m not surprised he’s not. Both Shaedon and him got hurt during summer league, I’d bet Donovan doesn’t play all games.

I’m also shocked that in both of Jonah Herscu’s post-practice media availabilities that are posted on the YouTube page(unless I missed this and this question was asked and answered, please let me know), not one of these so-called reporters asked why Scoot isn’t on the roster. Not saying Summer League makes a huge difference but asking the question and getting an explanation is certainly warranted. It was the first question that popped into my head when the roster got posted so hard to believe that wasn’t one of the first questions posed to Herscu.
A lot of comments here saying Summer League reps don’t matter, and while I generally agree, I think it should matter for a player like Scoot. He had a sub-par rookie campaign and was left off the All-Rookie teams. If I was him, I’d want to come out and suit up for a couple SL games and then call it good. Also couldn’t hurt to run some PnR sets with Clingan and develop that chemistry.

Scoot doesn’t have anything to prove against summer league competition. We know how he does vs G-leaguers.
Have you not noticed that leaders of the team come out to support the young guys at SL every year, but don’t play?
