young men just added to the team during the draft shine tonight so we’re going to get into it and of course tytus Jones the Clippers have interest in ass signing trade for tus Jones so we’re going to get could we get a player could we get a pick what kind of compensation can we give for tus Jones for the Los Angeles Clippers and Evan 48 there is interest in Evan for as being a mentor to both Alex SAR and Below kulali fellow Frenchman so let’s get into first on the agenda tonight the Wizards win 94 to 86 the first sumon game in Las Vegas so let’s get into it and first of all looking at the um the starting five interest in starting five uh they had B bub carrson starting at point guard two guard uh Johnny Davis uh Justin champen at small forward Eugene and Marie at the power forward and alexar actually started at the center position tonight so let’s get into the point guard Bob Carrington man and let me tell you man if you’re not excited about buob carington in Wizard Jersey you should be because he looks like he could potentially be a still at the 14th overall pick and like I said first early game too early but like I said I’m very high on the young man I like him in the draft and I think that he very well is definitely part of the future but at point guard could be the future long term at point guard for the Washington WIS so looking at the stat line tonight um 31 minutes play like what I see there now uh if you like the plus minus he was plus um 18 19 points tonight but the outside of 19 points now with the 19 points um he shot Five for 10 for the field four forade from three I mean he started a game with a trait I mean this guy is a shooter we knew he was a shooter coming out of Pittsburgh and he did not disappoint four forade from three man I mean you you see the potential with him from the perimeter and that’s why I’m very excited with him being the future guy a point guard essentially because he can shoot you know my favorite point guard was was John Wall and the only knock against him was was a shot you see the potential with bub Carron man like I said be more product I mean he can play he he’s a sniper but you know other stats I like about him man nine rebounds come on man nine rebounds he is the fact that we have a guard who goes in there and gets nine rebounds I love what I see buob Caron eight assists so he’s shown that he has that vision and how he can get other people involved definely be a playmaker one still one block I mean Bob Carson man like I said um definitely intrig to see what he can do the rest of the summer league and where he slots as far as playing time in a regular season but I think that if he has a strong show in the summer league and in training camp man he’s definitely gonna um set a mark for what his potential can be in a Wizards Jersey looking at the two guard Johnny Davis now Johnny Davis um not bad but I think we all expect a little more because we know that this very well could be his last time on the Wizards as far as summer league man um he definitely needs to shine and because again if you look at the trend with the moves made this offseason um wood Dawkins there’s no loyalty with the Tommy guys man so they’ve got a shine for them to be long-term pieces if they don’t want to be trade pieces that is um so look at that Johnny Davis 12 points but um he shot fir for 11 from the field one for four from three uh six rebounds one assist and was plus seven and plus minus so Johnny not a bad showing I mean 27 minutes played um but I think it all goes back to he was T overall pick and you know do we expect a little more yes but it it wasn’t bad he did it seemed like he had a little more speed to him you know me seeing he was a little more nibble on his feet but you know he has three more games to really impress will Dawkin company and Brian ke company man if he wants to be a longterm piece in Washington man because man as you guys know man there’s a lot of moving pieces off season man will Dogers is cooking and there’s a lot of roster turnover and like you said you know it behooves him to figure it out but I’m hoping I hope that Johnny can figure it out man like I said not a bad showing all right again two small for Justin champen he scored 18 points he was did his thing night eight for 10 for the field one for three from three four rebounds five assists so and plus 20 and plus and minus Justin champeny man would again we know he can be that score on the wing man he played good basketball last year um switching between Cal City go go and the washing wizard so he’s one of these guys man where I’m very intrigued to see what he uh what his ceiling can be I mean he’s a nice young player that we don’t talk enough about um at the four Eugene amarie in 24 minutes played he had eight points they did shoot one for nine for the field one for two from three um five rebounds two assists but four steals so that is one thing to look at he’s very active in the defensive end he’s a hard nose player I think every team is kind of like a Draymond Green every team needs a Eugene and Mar a guy a tough you know hardn guy who’s willing to die for lose balls you know he does all of the tough stats that aren’t recorded so um overall you know not a bad performance um from Eugene we know what he is a hardnose player all right let’s get into the start of the show man look Alex SAR number two overall pick now let’s start by saying he is very raw now you know that he outside of B kabali he’s the one player that has star pill and we know that the potential is through the roof now it did take him a little while to kind of get started tonight but uh 32 minutes played he got 12 points uh four for 12 from the field two for five from three that’s side step three Lord I’m trying to tell you man did y’all see that I mean you know the fact that he can stretch the floor man I’m loving it already um looking at five rebounds now obviously no not that is Eugene seven rebounds my bad seven rebounds so you definitely want to see his rebound numbers go up but seven rebounds is not bad as far as this game but overall the only knock against him or one of the few knocks against him coming out of draft was rebounding and that’s I think seven rebounds was definitely a good performance four assists so again showed some kind of vision as far as uh with his size of 7even foot one and four blocks you see the rim protection uh they did an interview with Will Dawkins tonight um uh Doris Burke and then and one thing they said that will Dawkin said was um his defense is gonna be the first part of his game is going to shine you know his offense is going to take a little bit of time but and I agree with that if you look at the rim protection potential with alexar I mean for Stills you see his potential as rim protector man uh so overall the St five looked decent now let’s get into the bench real quick uh Butler Jr 12 minutes played he has seven minutes or seven points uh he shot three for six from the field one for two from three and three rebounds so I do like him as a prospect obviously you know he’s definitely going to be on the Gog go but you know he definitely did not have a bad game uh Jules Bernard another Gog go guy that I really like 14 minutes he shot three for six for the field two for three from three uh for eight points uh kesan George the 24th overall pick man I’m saying he looks good now he had his struggles tonight obviously with a shot but I think I’m not alarmed I’m not not panicking at all it’s the first Summer League game and I think I feel like you definitely see the scoring potenti with him at his two guard or in the wing man at his size man I mean you’re looking at it uh shot three for from the field one for five from three so uh you definitely had struggle with a shot at times um but his shot got better as time went on and you saw him make a couple drives so and he was plus eight and plus minus so overall first Summer League game I’m not alarmed I think it was a definitely not a bad performance at all and you definitely see the potential with keishan George and finally um Funk the forward um he he played 11 minutes shooting one for six from the field one for five from three for three points so obviously you know this is a showcase for him trying to find a home whether it’s here in DC or it is somewhere else and my bad is a correction the final score is 94 to 88 not 86 um ESPN took a little bit to update my bad um so but getting back into it real quick overall not a bad performance we get the dub you the first time out you see the potential with these three first round picks we have man alexar he’s definitely very raw but you see the potential you see the versatility you know look at bub Caron bu Caron if you again if you are not excited about bub Caron the be more product Man in the Wizard Jersey you should be because he is definitely the future in my opinion you I love what I saw and again I get it’s only one game but I I I’d love the makeup as him as a player man you know out the gate hitting the three-pointer you you love his shot you love his energy and looking at um was it uh Kean George man 22 minutes played but you see the PO with him being a score he’s definitely a a Score first minded guy man and he defensively has some effort man then one knock against him was his you know consistent defensive presence I felt like he did you know at times you know he showed some effort on the defensive end so overall you know looking at the prospects down you know obviously Jules Bernard and Justin champeny are two guys I really like is Def uh death guys that can slide between theeg go into the Wizards I I love both of them as players and Johnny Davis not bad not bad but obviously again 10th overall pick in his draft class you definitely expect more and I think that a lot of us agree that this is look he’s fighting for his Wizards Survivor right now that he’s got to show something he’s got to show something because he very well could be on his way out but I’m holding that hope that he can that he can figure it out man like I said but time is getting short because again there’s a new sheriff of town in the front office in Will Dawkins and he’s not playing around he is going to turn his roster over man he’s going to take a slow approach to it and like I said I I love his answer um with his interview with Doris Burg man like I said um saying all the right things he’s definitely an analytical mind you know he’s I have high marks on W Dawkins as a general manager Man compared to the last two which really I mean you can admit that the bar is not too high but I mean obviously you know will daas is definitely going to do his thing so overall again the watch W has beat the Atlanta Hawks 94 to 88 that is in the first summer league matchup so we’re gonna get into tus Jones the Clippers are interested in a signing trade so what could it take question is what could we expect in return now like I said um lot of roster turn around right now um mean I’m looking at ESPN right now at the dep chart and even with the addition of sadik bay we’re going to take a look at the dep chart as far as where can we add a player now looking at picks the fact that the Clippers don’t own a first round or second round pick to 2030 which I think the only reason I think they’re hesitant is because if you look at Paul George leaving I think that the writing on the wall within the next three years they’re going to start a rebuild you know kawhai you know already know that he’s always hurt you know do they have the star power to to put beside him for them be a threat in the Western Conference I don’t think so the western conference is a monster and I think that with the departure of Paul George maybe they’re hesitant to move on from the 2030 move or the draft pick that is uh so you know I think it’s good news right now now as far as getting value for tus Jones you want to get value for tus Jones because looking at the christop porzingis trade sending him to the Celtics um you want to see some kind of return for that you know and last year when we had to offer of four second round picks which if you guys don’t already know we proba owned most of the NBA’s second round picks which is you know is a good thing obviously we have a front office is going to prioritize finding talent in the second round and then we can use a lot of these picks to you know move back into the lottery acquire Talent you know Etc um so but let’s take a look at the uh depth chart where can we add a player because like I said we’re interested in Evan forier so um and that’s another thing about the point guard position you know with tyus Jones on his way out who do they start a point guard a lot of us presume that it was Jordan po but a lot of the death charts and lineups I’ve seen lately through ESPN and other networks um they had Malcolm brogon as a starting point guard with with Jordan P at the two guard and um bow is actually coming off the bench as a six man Kyle kma at the three Alexa at the four Eon Val at the five now I get it we all know that Jordan P to be at his finest needs the ball in his hands so that’s why I thought that you know he definitely is the guy to be the starting point guard of the future but it could possibly be a situation where you could see malcol Brockton start at at point guard till a move is made at the deadline or earlier and then you flip Jordan p back to this uh to uh starting point guard because if you look at the fact that Malcolm Brockton makes 22.5 million you they want to showcase him so you very well could see him start the season as a starting point guard just because of the the price tag and the fact that they want to flip him because he does he inspiring contract so they’re G to try to flip him and at 225 you know he projected to either be you know a starting point guard on the team that needs one do the injury or a six-man for a team that needs that one piece that ends an aspiring contract so you know 225 is a reason why you very well could see him start but I think the long term you know once you move on from Malcolm Brockton Jordan p is going to be the starting point guard because I mean a lot of rosters turn around like I said bow I I definitely see him long term at the two and then if you see you know when you if or when you see Kyle kman get moved bow to me is a long-term small forward but a lot of possibilities so look at getting back to T Jones in Sig of trade you know right now there’s still a lot of moves to be made but there’s not a lot of players that I would necessarily want from um the Clippers to be honest with you I mean I’mma pull up their death chart real quick too but I mean like I said the picks you could try to get a 2030 I don’t think you’re going to get a 203 first because of the fact that eventually they’re going to try to to rebuild because the writing is on the wall with what’s going on with kawh Leonard and you know the departure of Paul George but let me pull up the death chart real quick and what players would it possibly want I mean James hard ain’t coming here Russ ain’t coming here I don’t see Kevin Porter Jr come coming here Terence man’s intriguing but you know I don’t see a lot of guys unless they’re expiring deals and even then I just don’t see a fit anybody on the team that would you know would help either with trade value or a depth piece or a mentor piece um Mo Boma maybe but you know the center position is pretty much locked down so yeah I mean maybe you make a move for a PJ Tucker just because of him being a veteran but you know right now I don’t see maybe outside of picks that’s and and like I said they don’t have them to 2030 so it’s going to be intriguing to see what kind of package they pull off for a signing trade with T Jones it could very well could be a three team trade so it’s gonna be definitely gonna be compelling but again just the fact that you have teams that are interested of you know acquiring tus Jones in the signing trade is good news for the Washington Wizards because you can get something you get something of value back for tus Jones instead of letting him walk for nothing and shine a whole new light on the KP trade in my my opinion all right next up on the agenda the Wizards are interested in signing Evan 48 per Mark Stein quote unquote would naturally hold a pill as a potential mentor to countrymen fellow countrymen to uh to B kabali and Alex SAR so um what do you guys definitely comment below let me know what you think but where would he fit you know what I mean like and like I said there’s a lot of moving pieces a lot of moving pieces with the Washington Wizards but I don’t see him as a guy honestly that was going to play a lot and you got to get to a certain point where you know it’s got you know you got to prioritize minutes for the young guys in my opinion um because then you know again if you look at the roster you know we got the vets and Kyle kma Jordan P you valat chunis and these are guys that you know initially gonna play minutes especially you know jonis is gonna start Jordan p is gonna start and K is gonna start but looking at where could he slot in I mean like you said right now mol Brogden could started the uh point guard but I mean on looking at the second unit you know the fact that you know he plays the two in in small ball Wing you know Patrick Bowman Jr potentially bow in the second unit Cory kisser you got ran Holmes so like I said you could add him on a very very very cheap deal and really look at it kind of like an Anthony Gil move you know a mentor a guy that you know barring injuries he can’t come in and play some meaningful basketball you can definitely you know he can still play at a high level at the stages in his career but being a mentor like I said you know um he was one of the first Frenchmen who came into the NBA so he knows the intrical parts of the NBA as far as making that transition for France you know not only the the cultural barrier but you know the fact that L was barrier you know like I said you know bow has gotten really good in English you know because I remember last year you know we got a lot of media from FR you know French media so it’s been that that transition so I think that having a French player like forier could definitely help Bali and alexar as far as making that transition having a guy who knows what you know how it is to make that transition from France to United States because we all know look it’s a big cultural difference from the United States and France man so you know not only just food but just you know so many different things help him acclimate the being DEC so I think it would be a good move as far as a mentor move now he’s obviously a guy who can still play but he’s not you know if you look at the writing on the wall as far as you know looking at the D chart we didn’t talk about the you know Kean George where he’s gonna play could he start with the go go very well could um bu kingon I see him as definitely starting a point guard so we’re going to have a nice second unit too in my opinion and this team obviously we’re not going to win more than 25 to me the Silling sty games but you know these veteran guys I think that if they play somewhat Clos to what they played last year because let’s be real like we’re gonna get into over and unders and expectations for next year we got plenty of time for that but like I said you know as far as Jordan p and Kyle kman you’re G to see them play at a high level this year I think Jordan P’s gonna come in here with a chip on the shoulder he’s gonna come starting out this season with fire and and you look at the potential with Kyle kma on the wing he could potentially definitely average close to 25 points my opinion because this last year at the 4 position he averaged 22 so they’re going to give him a lot of autonomy man because the fact of the matter is Alex star is very raw J valunas is not going to be a focal point of offense and you know belac obali or whoever starts um you know he’s still you know his offense is still you know in the making so like I said there’s a lot of a lot of turnar around with this roster like I said we get you know we got sadik Bay who’s he’s not gonna play You’re we’ll be lucky if CID Bay plays maybe a quarter the season it’s fine you know he’s got a really really really Team friendly contract and we can take our time with him 25 years old he has a lot of potential so we can take our time with him but like I said there’s a lot of dominoes that could potentially still fall from now to training camp so definitely tune in because um you very well could still see kma move even though I think he’s here at least to the deadline and he very well could be here to the rest of his contract because again his contract is not hurting anything um you know valun thean you know so there’s a lot of possibilities but let’s get into comments like we always do like I said I wanted it to go live for the first SU League game Wizards and just the performance tonight you see that there’s better players and these are guys who they weren’t 10th overall picks these are the guys that played on the goo so nothing you know I want part and you know like I said I’m a guy that thought you know eventually we get to a youth movement I’m I’m a big cist about that but then on the flip side I I try to understand moves man you know and I understand what the is Will Dawkins so but again appreciate you bro um B Trappin says Johnny man it’s s to see but his career is done year three in summer league and still can’t do anything against anyone he had a little more speed but I’m with you he’s not a guy who’s gonna blow past anybody and we know what he is he’s a guy who’s not gonna be starting in NBA you know he maybe he grows into a a role player but you I think that you know it takes work man but he’s again he’s always like kwami brown and and and it’s different because Brown was the first overall pick but I guess the point is col Brown’s always going to be Sous with his draft position no matter what he does he’s going to be synomous with his draft and Johnny Davis he’s going to be synonymous with being a lottery pick that just couldn’t do it man and like I said I don’t know who to blame you know you can blame the organization under Tommy Shepard as far as make trying to make him a point guard and this this and this but at the end of the day he has to capitalize a playing minutes man you know in playing time so um Bullis Nation what’s good he says Gino and Johnny are the worst players in his team um has Johnny even shot a basketball over a break how or he misses so bad in every shot you take hey man I’m with you I mean he is what he is you know what I mean um Gino I get it he doesn’t have the sexiest game you know he’s a guy who’s a hard noos player who’s gonna do all the the little things like Anthony Gil um but he’s you know I think you know you see he’s he’s a low caling how do I say this I mean because I like his I like his fire I like his is just he’s he’s a low-end role player I mean like I said you know he’s a guy who’s hard noos you need every team needs a Eugene M Marine man but you know he’s low he’s got a low ceiling I’m just gonna say that um thean also says SAR passing dribbling and defense legit absolutely had three blocks in the span of two possessions his shot and rebounding just needs to work yeah I think his shot and rebounding are going to get there that’s side step three come on man you see the potential with this shot three-point shot eventually a mid-range shot definitely want to see him play with more with with his back to the basket but his dribbling man he’s got some handles his passing ability his vision you know his defense are definitely legit so I definitely agree with that man Adam Henderson says Davis needs to resign on the two-way contract and just play for goo for like two years as a side show they walk away with it all with a couple bucks on top of his Rook I that is a good point I actually I really agree with that you know Sonu a two-ear I mean I mean two-way and see if you can fix him in goo man but I think that right now he’s holding up a spot for another player man you know at the two guard you know like I said the second unit we don’t know really what the second unit still we don’t know what the start the starting five is going to be because like I said we all assume that Jordan P was gonna be the guy but then the fact that if you look at malol Brock’s price tag of 22.5 million and the fact that he’s an aspiring contract they’re gonna P try to put him at a point guard position to start out the season till he gets moved or at the deadline he and showcase him and because and I and I get it you’re not getting the most out of Jordan um Jordan p in my opinion because we know he’s a player that needs a ball in his hands but you know we have a lot of capabilities so but getting back to Johnny Davis I’m with you you know definitely you know his spot I think that somebody else needs those minutes man you know and that’s just what it is Lawrence L says Johnny’s calling C his defense and his defense tonight has been horrible thank you he’s not even covering his man leading to easy bucket what’s going on with him man I don’t know like I said in confidence you know his confidence a shot but that’s it man you know he’s got three more games see what he can do but I think that they have an option and I and all arol appointed did they’re probably not going to pick up his option you know what I mean so that’s just you know Cory Ker’s got option you know we’ll see I mean I think there’s more of a likelihood they’re going to pick up Cory kisser you know what I mean but um definitely if they want to see him eventually get moved even though you you very well could see them take the denava approach which is resign him to a Team friendly deal and then flip him I see that approach with this front office to get some you know definitely get some value out of him if you don’t see him part of the longterm Cory and if you look at you know the comments made by Den AA um he understands that he wasn’t part of the timeline now you know obviously he was felt blind said it but you know he wasn’t part of the timeline and you get it with the ages of these draft picks they’re all teenagers so I get it to a team that’s in the gray where we’ve been in the grve for the last 30 years or you’re a team that is a rebuilding team you when you’re picked at number 10 overall the the the whole Vision has seen you as a potential star if not a high-end role player that is what the whole you know point is at number 10 overall and he just he he just hasn’t he’s not there he’s just he has not lived up to his draft Topic that still continues to thrive and I was a big fan of Denny loved covering him talking to him when you know while covering the team but you know again they’re looking younger at a different timeline so you know like I said a lot of people didn’t like the moves a lot of people do but I understand the move you know and the fact that you look at bub Carrington you know that that trade is looking better and better because bub Carrington is the future at point guard you know like I said I like that Jordan p is being the future but now if you look at the new timeline you no longer look at him as as that future piece as far as point guard for long term you you expect that eventually they’re gonna try to move on from him definitely try to boost his value trade value and definitely move on for him and at his age man I think eventually we’re gonna be able to so you know the timeline just got it has changed man you know you know if you look at Denny Cory kissper and and Jordan P they were all young pieces that were part of the future but they pushed that timeline back and you know you look at a 23y old that at one point was part of the timeline now push back to 2019 and that shows you where this organization is going because they’re going younger they’re taking this this rebuild is going to take a little bit while man it’s going to take a three you know probably three or four more years but they’re taking a slow approach to develop them right so um vanro Jones Lord you maybe say that on there man I can’t get the game but great hearing these Johnny and marui comments please just let them both walk um yeah I think they’re gone um I think they’re gone yeah I don’t Eugene just because of his high motor as far as and when I say high motor not so much athleticism but the fact that he’s hard-nosed but I you know both of them very well could be on their way out because like I said there’s a high turnaround rate on this roster and there you got a lot of young players that look the priority has to give them you know the priority has to go to them for minutes so a lot of these go- go guys man as much as I like Justin shamp Penney Jules Bernard but you better believe that when it comes to Kean George when it comes to Bob Caron when it comes to obviously alexar Tristan vich BL Kali the priority goes to them for playing time and it should be and then if you got minutes left over outside of the vets and these Rickie five then you give it to these guys man but you know nothing against these go- go guys and like I said there’s nothing wrong with them bouncing back and forth but I think that if you look at where the minutes should go they goes the young guys and the and and definitely the veterans because you want to flip a lot of these veterans but the veterans in the rookie five that’s priority in my opinion so I’m with you on that um Alexander said my God you jeans offensive game so cooked Lord yeah I mean offensively yeah so um shook Biz what’s
