all right guys what’s going on welcome back to Top Line it’s your boy Chris and uh well well well man I finally finally finally got the opportunity to sit down and get some summer league action man oh man my first time actually been able to have a couple uh uh minutes or this couple hours to sit back and watch some summer league basketball I know it just kicked off the night I didn’t get to really watch a lot of California classic and some other basketball that was on man um I just want to say uh first and foremost before I get into this video listen if there’s someone that can help me getting get some kind of way to help me get my baby Gabby um a connect or something to get me to yaka purle so she can take a picture with him or meet him in person that would be that would mean so much to me that’s her favorite player um don’t ask me why she is the biggest yaka Perle fan man so if anybody can help me just reach out or or put point me in the right direction I really want to get that done for my angel she’s a bit yaka perto fan it’ll be amazing to do so but anyway man let’s keep it moving um the Toronto Raptor versus Oklahoma City thunder tonight this game at no point was in question um looking at it um I tell you what I was surprised I don’t know why but I was surprised by Carlson willingness and Effectiveness from three-point uh from with a three-point shooting that was a a big surprise to me as a center you know I don’t know a lot about Carson I’m not going to front stunt or lie to you but I did I I I didn’t expect him to to to hit the threes like that one was a off-balance three I was just like okay wow the young man um he was five or 12 three or seven from the three-point line um eight rebounds two assists two block 13 points hey um that hey that’s the way to get your name out there man that’s the way to get your name out there now to me um Jo jacobe White to me kind of have those first time semi big stage not quite as big stage as a regular NBA game but the big stage um two of eight 0 for five from three two rebounds one assist one Ste plus 20 on the floor floor though so that count um Five Points um um love the name jacobe Walter Jordan Kobe love it uh gotta love that um but um I he looked like a rookie tonight I I thought he looked like a rookie um I tell you one person I was surprised by but I wanted to see a shoot a little bit more as she um he was three of six but the the one three that he made he shot with such conviction it was in Rhythm he knocked it down I mean he was one of three from three-point line he he’s not typically known as a three point shooter a knockdown shooter um but and he’s more of a a defensive guy more of a defensive pest um if and and that’s his calling card so if you got him knocking down threes that’s a whole another element He was three of six tonight 50% from the field obviously seven points four assists four rebounds um in 19 minutes of all the starts he played the least amount of minutes but I want to see him not I want to be a little bit more effective from three because that give you a whole another element um to his game because you yall know the when it comes to the Toronto Raptors I don’t I’m working on see not Toronto Toronto I I’m working I’m working baby um when it comes to Toronto Raptors you don’t really want to um you you don’t really um hang your head too much on the shooting because no matter who’s at the him whether it’s darkle or Nick Nur you automatically know Player Development is the key to what they do so you feel like the shot and all that stuff will come but keep up the defensive intensity and I I thought they did a very damn good job especially at the beginning the first quarter I know it’s only 10 minute quarters but it held them to 10 points the first quarter and I think that kind of set the tone for the game um a gba yeah y’all know what I’m talking about seven points three of seven um the verdict still out on him I four rebound sorry six rebound one assist two I’m sorry um no blocks I apologize seven points I’m still trying to get a feel for him I a got a real good feel for him but y’all know who I want to talk about I want to talk about my man Grady dick that’s who we want to see take that second year progression ladies and gentlemen there’s very few players who it just seem like seem like the ball finds them dick is one of those guys that feel like the ball finds him he know like if you you want to talk about awareness when you look at the rebound he’s jumping out of bounds and first of all I I want to say it was Carson I could be wrong and it was Carson dick is jumping out of bounds Carson automatically Dives in di hits him on the dive while he jumping out of bound to say the ball EAS the layup you look at uh it was so many it’s so many passes of dick game that I’m like yo if he don’t change this don’t change this because he’s one of those guys man who just can always find himself in the right place um he was five or 12 uh I’m sorry sorry six from 17 I apologize 0 for four from three not worried about that because the three-point shooting gonna come that’s what he do I wasn’t worried about the three-point shooting I worry about everything else 66 from the free throw line we’ll take that 10 rebounds six assists two steals 18 points for Grady dick tonight let all scores for the Raptors um and I felt like he and he didn’t have a good three-point shoot if you if if if he can be as impactful on a game as he was tonight without him the three oh you good man you good and and and I said this last year about I was like he he got a lot of intangibles that you’re not going to show up on the score sheet the the defense the the the known rotation it’s one it was one play where he sh himself up he does he does a great cut to get himself open that then gives him an easy basket this young man got a lot of intangibles a lot of intangibles we just got to get that to kind of correlate over into the regular season um I don’t know if they gonna have a starter this year I think it should be a starter but not and and because of what we saw tonight the three-point shooting is what he do not worried about that over four from about to care about that that’s what he do show me what a young man is working and he said it I got to do it they got be better on defensive end I got to do other things I got you know more than just shoot the ball I got so I can be effective in other ways um he did miss a couple easy mid-range you got to get those locked in um couple ones he should have knocked down but he didn’t but the activity was there the energy was there the effort was there energy will find the ball that’s why he was always around the ball dick was always around the ball because of the fact that when when the ball wasn’t in his hand he was moving he was moving he was making plays he was trying to impact the game a lot of players when they’re not shooting they don’t know how to impact the damn game when his hands when the ball was not in his hands when the ball was not in his hand he found a way to impact the game and that’s why you seen the steals that’s why you how many steals they give tonight only two I thought he had more than that okay but 10 rebounds that’s that’s hustle rebound is a hustle a hustle stat especially for a guard so shout out dick man I thought he had a hell of a game tonight um you want to see him continue to build up like I said I’m not tripping about the 0 for four from three because it’s C dick three-point shooting is what he do you want to see everything else com to play so hey great game for dick tonight um and that my take man that’s what I thought far to rap versus thunder tonight shout out to um uh gr dick leading this young Squad um and this a lot
