Bobi Klintman Speaks With Media After Summer League Debut

what’s going on I guess whoops to lead off I think this is our first time talking to you can you take us through the last few weeks getting acclimated to the Pistons Detroit and everything else um it’s been a lot um I was I wasn’t able to practice in the beginning of uh the first practice set so I kind of had to stand on the sideline and just like try to be a sponge try to listen to the coaches saying what we was going through um I’m I was the last two practices before coming out here that was my first time actually like practicing going five against five up up up on the floor so it’s been a process but it’s been good so far what have you heard from Tran and just the front office as far as expectations what they want to see from you uh it haven’t really been any expectations yet uh right now we focus in summer league you know try to try to go out here and get some wins and you know uh you know play together like you know a lot of young guys on the team Marcus Ron uh try to get everything together I think that’s the main focus did you work out for the pistes before the draft yeah no sir okay okay so were you surprised here of to wind up in Detroit um a little bit but at the same time you know uh they’ve been watching me since I think since I was at way for so you know I’ve been I’ve been talking to them before and stuff like that so when you come into your person Le game there’s obviously that want to show what you can do but there’s also you don’t want probably don’t want to do too much do you think about that balance coming into this game or you just got whatever happen no sir I just I just try to go out there and play hard and play the right way and I feel like when I do that like a lot of stuff comes easy for me so say for people who aren’t familiar with your game what up why are you in your what do you bring what is your talent what is your skill set I bring a lot of Versatility uh can guard multiple possessions play at multiple positions knock down shooting uh can move off the ball and make others better on the team we knew you can shoot coming in but the passing five assist can you talk about that aspect of your game and how you can see that helping you with translating I feel like I’ve always been an underrated passer you know when I started playing basketball I started as a point guard cuz I was playing with my brother two years up so um I feel like I’ve kind of had that uh throughout my throughout my uh career uh I haven’t I’ve been able to show it more uh at different stages but you know I just always try to do what the coach asking me so U when when I can when I can show that I try to go out and do that and overall just how do you feel about how you performed today I feel like I did solid U I feel like I could have knocked down more shots but uh other than that I feel like we did pretty solid uh yeah how has your background prepared you for the NBA your playing background uh I would say very good you know I’ve been playing playing at a pro level so uh just going up against grown men like guys that been through it I feel like that been helping me a lot just on both on and off the court else playing in the Pro down in the N smaller Court obviously a bigger Court here in more spacing that’s where you like Drive look like a lot of fun yeah I mean you know as you say it’s a it’s a fast tempo in the NBL physical league so uh coming out here having that experience that I feel like that helped a lot you know so I felt pretty poed out there pretty Cal what’s the emotions been like since being drafted signning the deal that came out today all the reports and then going and finally get on the go yeah I mean it’s it’s been a lot but finally out there playing again you know um I’m very happy you know I love I love the hoop so H being out there again at this level it’s a blessing for sure lastly why you came into the N why you left now the draft what’s the one thing you no the biggest change uh biggest change that’s a tough one um I would say uh I mean I would say it’s kind of kind of the same thing you got to you starting up from from scare one you got to you got to work you got to earn everything here too so as it was in the NB but um I feel like this this is the this is the top highest level so um just doing that Elite that’s what I got to do every day
